Chapter 1253 - 1238: Here We Go Again
Chapter 1253 - 1238: Here We Go Again
Lin Yu felt Song Yun’s hand starting to misbehave and quickly said, "Let’s go home now."
"Haha, then let’s go home now," Song Yun said, stepping on the gas.
They arrived downstairs at Lin Yu’s house, a route Song Yun was familiar with. He parked the car, took Lin Yu’s hand, and went upstairs.
Once they were inside, sparks flew between them.
Suddenly, Lin Yu put her hand on Song Yun’s shoulder, stared at him, and said, "Thank you, Song Yun."
Song Yun smiled and said, "No need to thank me, it’s what I should do."
"It’s what I should do too."
Lin Yu said, "I enjoy everything right now, so consider this my reward to you."
Song Yun was taken aback at her words, then sighed and said, "I thought... what we have is more than just a simple exchange of benefits."
"Hmm?"
Lin Yu looked at Song Yun, slightly confused.
Song Yun turned to lie beside Lin Yu and said, "I told you before, you’re different from Lin Jia. So, when I help you, I don’t expect your body as any sort of reward."
"I..."
Lin Yu tried to say something, but Song Yun continued, "If I truly wanted a reward, do you think you could afford it? Just a simple body? There are countless people who want to play with me; I can easily find plenty."
"That’s not what I meant."
Lin Yu got a bit anxious, "I... I was just speaking casually. I didn’t really mean to offer myself as a reward. I just feel that if I have only one man in my life, I want that man to be you."
"As long as I become your man, then for the rest of my life, I’m surely your only man," Song Yun said.
"Yeah, I want you to be my only man!" Lin Yu nodded seriously, "So... Song Yun, stop lying down."
Song Yun turned his body to face Lin Yu, placed a hand on her thigh, and said, "Are you sure you’re not offering yourself as some kind of reward to me?"
"I’m sure!" Lin Yu nodded seriously.
"Alright, then I’ll reluctantly accept you," Song Yun said with a mischievous grin, then suddenly felt something unusual. Looking down, his face changed.
"What’s wrong?"
Lin Yu asked.
Song Yun raised his hand to show Lin Yu and said, "You... You said you weren’t on your period."
"Ah?!"
Lin Yu sat up in surprise, looked under her, and said, "What’s going on? I... I wasn’t supposed to get it these days!"
"Probably came early these past two days," Song Yun said helplessly.
"I... I used to get it early too, but this time... I thought I’d have another week," Lin Yu said with a forlorn face, looking at Song Yun, "What do we do now!"
"What can we do? Go clean up and use a pad, what else!" Song Yun said.
"But... won’t we just..." Lin Yu said ashamedly, "Sigh, Song Yun, I really didn’t expect it to come today."
"Forget it," Song Yun laughed and said, "These things, you can’t help it, there’s a saying things are planned by people but success comes from heaven."
"Yeah!" Lin Yu nodded, "Then you clean up first, I’ll wait outside."
"Alright!"
Song Yun hastily put on his clothes and went out of Lin Yu’s room, reflecting on how his encounters at Lin Yu’s place were fraught with bad timing, often coinciding with her period—a remarkably unlikely occurrence, statistically speaking.
Just then, Lin Yu called from the room, "Song Yun, can you... can you come here for a second?"
Song Yun paused, then went to Lin Yu’s door, asking, "What is it?"
"I’m... I’m out of pads, can you... can you buy some for me?" Lin Yu’s voice was low; she seemed to know asking a man to buy pads was quite an awkward request. She was prepared to be refused, but to her surprise, after a brief pause, Song Yun replied with a smile, "Sure, is there a place downstairs that sells them?"
Now it was Lin Yu’s turn to be stunned. Sometimes a couple’s relationship is very good, even if they’ve been intimate, but asking a man to buy pads is something many find too embarrassing. Yet Song Yun, without any hesitation, agreed to it, and that deeply moved Lin Yu.
Song Yun believed that a man for a woman is like a woman for a man. For instance, our women buy us cigarettes, alcohol, and underwear, and their fundamental thought is often simply wanting to do something for us, to make us feel comfortable and make life easier.
You could say, many women, spend most of their lives living for others. When they reach their forties or fifties, and their youthful appeal fades, women enter menopause and become irritable, fearing the loss of any person — their husband, their children — as they lose their allure.
While men, why are they considered a blossom at thirty or forty? Because men are most attractive then, and attractive men are always needed by others, and this is when the differences between men and women are most apparent.
Speaking so much, the main point is that once a woman has a man she loves, she is willing to do anything for him, whereas many men are unwilling to drop their pride to do something for their woman.
Like buying pads.
Many people feel that a grown man going to the supermarket to buy pads is embarrassing.
But have you ever thought, when your woman is in the men’s underwear section picking out boxers for you, why doesn’t she feel embarrassed?
Only the indescribable pride would make a man feel ashamed to purchase those items for his woman.
Thankfully.
Song Yun isn’t that kind of man.
Song Yun grabbed his wallet and, without saying much to Lin Yu, went downstairs directly.
Why is it that Song Yun is liked by many women, even deeply loved? It’s because Song Yun is always the most manly of men.
Being manly isn’t about being domineering or swaggering; it’s about doing the things for his woman that other men wouldn’t dare or be willing to do.
For instance, in the earlier scenario, who said you can’t do it when she’s on her period? Song Yun, if he wanted, could have insisted and just gone ahead; after all, there’s not much difference since there’s bleeding involved anyway.
But Song Yun wouldn’t do that.
It’s a matter of principle. Of course, no one says you must adhere to such principles, but Song Yun simply chooses not to.
And as for buying pads, Song Yun doesn’t see any shame in it. It’s like buying condoms; everyone uses them, if you’re embarrassed then don’t use them, right?
However, as he left the building, Song Yun realized a problem.
He had absolutely no idea about pads.
Song Yun knew a lot about many things in this world, even enough about the chemical elements needed for nuclear fission to chat about. But when it came to pads, he truly didn’t know how to buy them!
