Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 193: Always Able to Meet Again

Chapter 193: Always Able to Meet Again

The car would take a while to arrive, and while waiting, Dong Yi looked at Qian with confusion.

Since coming out from Uncle’s place, Qian had been laughing incessantly. Was it really that funny?

Just thinking of the name Gangdan made Qian smile brilliantly.

Truly Mr. Liu’s work. Look at this unique name. I thought he might be called something like Si Bing, Si Pao, or Si Chou Qiu.

Yu Gangdan, even the eggs are made of steel, hahaha!

Noticing Dong Yi’s scrutinizing gaze, Qian finally held back her laughter.

"Freshman, did you learn something today?"

"Yeah, I understood a bit more now."

"I’ll write down today’s key points for you because treating children might need a longer cycle. You seem to get along well with the second brother; is it okay for you to come by yourself in the future?"

"Me...come by myself?" Dong Yi hesitated a little.

"Any problem with that?" Seeing Dong Yi and the second brother being quite familiar, Qian thought she wouldn’t be afraid of him, right?

"No problem."

Qian temporarily didn’t think about the idea of gender differences because a man with the second brother’s character would never do anything inappropriate, and Dong Yi might become a psychologist in the future, having plenty of opportunities to interact solely with male patients.

Qian didn’t think along those lines, but someone else did.

That person was Wang Xiaobo, who came to pick up Qian and Dong Yi.

Yu Mingyi hadn’t called him, but he heard Yu Mingyi was using a car and volunteered to come. He had heard his mother talk about his sister and brother-in-law’s divorce, and his first reaction was to find Yu Mingyi to ask about it.

But Yu Mingyi deliberately kept a distance from him; he hadn’t had a chance to speak with him until now, so he seized the opportunity.

He didn’t see Yu Mingyi but saw two girls he recognized from having a meal with Yu Mingyi last time!

Qian saw a car approaching and recognized the model as similar to one used at Yu Mingyi’s unit, so she gestured to stop it.

"Did Mr. Yu ask you to come?"

"Get in," Wang Xiaobo looked them over for a while before speaking.

Qian found his gaze made her uncomfortable and met his eyes.

"Do you know me?"

"No problem," Wang Xiaobo shifted his gaze away, only to find himself feeling somewhat guilty under the young girl’s sharp eyes.

On the way back, Wang Xiaobo kept speculating which girl was involved with Yu Mingyi, convinced it must be an extramarital affair, hence why his sister got dumped!

He felt he had an important mission to find out who was entangled with his brother-in-law and that his brother-in-law must remarry his sister.

"Ladies, what business do you have with Mr. Yu?"

"No comment. Can you pry into the privacy of your superior?" Qian retorted.

They had to keep their patient’s identity confidential, even if it was just a child.

Wang Xiaobo was at a loss, sensing Qian was not easy to provoke, so he didn’t dare pursue further, only glancing occasionally through the rearview mirror to look at Qian and Dong Yi, guessing who it might be.

Sitting in the backseat, Qian and Dong Yi felt the driver’s unusual gaze; he was often secretly looking at them but shifted his eyes away when noticed.

Qian hadn’t guessed that this man was Yu Mingyi’s ex-wife’s brother. Generally, men look at women for two reasons: revenge or attraction. Qian assumed it was the latter.

When they reached the school, Wang Xiaobo parked and spoke to Dong Yi.

"Miss, could I get your contact information? How about becoming pen pals? You can tell me about school life, and I can tell you about our life as Blue Sky Angels."

He thought all the way and felt it was more likely Dong Yi. It was intuition. Qian seemed like someone not easily provoked, not the type Yu Mingyi would like, but the silent girl seemed suspicious.

"Me?" Dong Yi was slightly stunned.

Qian pulled her behind herself. "No need. She has a boyfriend, and your lifestyle shouldn’t be casually shared with others; have you forgotten your unit’s rules?"

Dong Yi had a natural sense of gratitude towards such people, and Qian had to prevent Dong Yi from straying off the path.

Wang Xiaobo hit a snag, and Qian gave him no chance to keep pestering, taking Dong Yi away with her.

"Freshman." As they walked through the laurel shrubs, Qian stopped.

"Yeah?"

"People have many kinds of emotions; gratitude isn’t love. Don’t get an inexplicable fondness for someone just because they fly in the sky, letting them take advantage of you."

Qian felt she needed to take back the joke she’d made earlier. She had joked that Dong Yi should find someone who flies in the sky in the future, but given today’s situation, she felt obligated to give a hint.

"What?"

"I don’t oppose you finding someone in that profession, but people come in many forms. Like the one just now with the shifty eyes, you should not consider."

"I didn’t feel anything special towards him."

Seeing her response, Qian felt reassured. These girls in their early romantic phases, if not watched, could easily be snatched away by wolves.

Returning to the dormitory, they found the door ajar, which startled both Dong Yi and Qian.

A tall man in a leather jacket stood fiddling with things in front of Qian’s bed.

Dong Yi almost screamed, but Qian saw it and covered her mouth, pulling her outside.

"Qian, there’s a thief!" Dong Yi whispered tensely.

Why was there a man in the girls’ dormitory? There could only be one explanation, he was a thief!

"Shi Touyu isn’t here. We’ll have to restrain him and take him to the dorm manager," Qian calmly judged, discussing with Dong Yi their plan to quietly slip into the restroom, one grabbing a bucket and the other a mop. They exchanged glances and went out.

The plan was to cover his head with a bucket and then both attack him.

But when Qian approached and saw him making the bed, she urgently called to stop the action.

"Freshman, don’t cover!"

Before she finished, Dong Yi, relying on her height, brought the bucket down, turning the man into a classic bucket-headed zombie from a certain game.

"What the heck, what are you doing!" Came a muffled voice from inside the bucket.

Dong Yi kicked, but Qian grabbed her, making them retreat a few steps from the inertia.

Shi Touyu walked in just in time to see this chaotic scene, gasping with a scream, she covered her mouth, stifling a scream.

"Born in the same dormitory, why such urgency to harm each other! How could you battle for a man, turning against your fellow dormmates!"

To Shi Touyu, this scene automatically translated to a fight between Qian and Dong Yi over a man, with the bucket-covered one being the sought-after target.

"Your way of welcoming people is indeed passionate," the man said gloomily, removing the bucket.

"It’s you!"

"It’s you two!"

Qian and Dong Yi recognized him as the person Qian had once saved from the train, who was dealing with gender identity issues. What was his name again?

"Xiao Meiqiu!" Qian remembered.

"I am Xiao Miqiu. Miss, aren’t you a psychologist, what brings you here?" Xiao Miqiu hadn’t expected to meet a familiar face.
