Chapter 165: Adding His Own Lines
Chapter 165: Adding His Own Lines
Yu Minglang, who was unaware that his romantic history had been exposed, was rushing to answer Qian’s call.
"Mei, what’s going on?"
"I need your cooperation. I’m conducting a hypnosis session right now, and no matter what you hear later, you have to answer, ’I forgive you,’ okay?"
"Alright." Although Yu Minglang didn’t know what she was doing, he knew he had to listen to Mei.
Qian quickly went inside, put the phone on speaker, and made a snapping gesture with her hand.
Yu Minglang only heard Qian’s gentle voice from the other side of the phone, "Entering a hypnotic state, listen to my voice. Are you there?"
"I am."
It’s Zheng Xu!
Yu Minglang heard it clearly; this was his first time hearing Qian formally conduct psychological therapy, and it was with Zheng Xu!
"Follow my voice to the moment of your deepest fear. Tell me, who do you see?"
"The person lying on the ground..."
"Who is he?"
"I don’t know."
"Have him tell you personally, ’It doesn’t matter what happened back then.’ Now, person lying on the ground, answer him, do you still blame him?"
Qian asked Yu Minglang through the phone.
"I forgive you." Although Yu Minglang didn’t know what Qian was asking, he answered honestly.
"Did you hear? He forgives you. Say it again, do you blame Zheng Xu for almost burning you?"
"No blame, I forgive him—but can he stay away from my woman in the future?"
Qian rolled her eyes in frustration, Yu Minglang, who told you to improvise!!!
Zheng Xu was still in a hypnotic state, and what he heard would affect his subconscious later. This bastard Yu Minglang, she’ll deal with him after she’s done with Zheng Xu!
"Who’s your woman?" Zheng Xu asked.
"The woman treating you, stay away from her, and I’ll forgive you. I don’t blame you for the fire back then; it was my own lack of rescue knowledge, not knowing to cover my mouth and nose while extinguishing a fire. It had nothing to do with you."
Zheng Xu seemed to be thinking hard about who the woman treating him was. Qian was fuming with rage; her good therapy was messed up by shameless Yu Minglang!
She’d never encountered such a situation before and didn’t know what would happen next.
"Zheng Xu, did you hear, the near-burning incident was his own fault, nothing to do with you. Do you still feel guilty now?"
"No."
"Are you still afraid of sawtooth patterns?"
"No."
"Great."
After hearing this, Qian knew Yu Minglang was useless now, didn’t say goodbye and hung up directly.
That bad guy Yu Minglang, wait till she’s done with Zheng Xu, then she’ll deal with this shameless scoundrel!
Yu Minglang shrugged after hanging up; he felt like he’d done a good deed, but Mei didn’t even say goodbye. How heartless!
But... After hearing her treatment, Yu Minglang raised his eyebrows. Was the fire set by Zheng Xu back then?
No matter, he followed Mei’s instructions, and Mei would undoubtedly praise him!
Back at the office, Yu Minglang suddenly sensed something was amiss.
Why were his employees looking at him with those eyes?
He looked again to see Qiao Zhen awkwardly holding the box said to be a gift from Mei...
Yu Minglang hurried over, snatched the box, opened it, and a few senior executives closed their eyes.
It’s over; did they know too much...
"Hmm, my girlfriend is a bit enthusiastic, but that’s unavoidable. The young lady has no romantic experience, it’s understandable." Yu Minglang boasted shamelessly, his face full of teasing expression.
Qiao Zhen raised an eyebrow, "Wow, impressive, thick-skinned indeed."
Who’s the one with no romantic experience, who’s the enthusiastic one? Who hums a song while making the bed for the girl, sends warmth from a thousand miles away, who takes a slingshot to hit the girl’s window in the middle of the night, who mistakes carnations for red roses...
It’s you, buddy!
Yu Minglang calmly put the box away and also tucked the note symbolizing her "extreme enthusiasm" into his pocket, out of love.
Cute Mei, the more he likes her, the more "enthusiastic" she is.
Chen Xiaomei now really wanted to tear Yu Minglang apart.
The case she’d been longing to solve for two lifetimes was left with uncertain results due to his lines.
She only asked him to say one line, but who knew this guy would be so dramatic!
Even added his own script!
If Qian found out Yu Minglang not only added lines but also labeled her persona as enthusiastic, kicking him would be light; he’s thick-skinned, way too thick!
Qian snapped her fingers to bring Zheng Xu out of the hypnotic state. He moved his neck and glanced at the clock; had it really been that long?
He didn’t remember what had just happened, but he felt relaxed, free from fatigue, and comfortable inside out.
"How do you feel now?" Qian asked him, feeling on edge, worried Yu Minglang’s added drama might affect Zheng Xu.
"Very comfortable, it feels so relaxing."
Zheng Xu stood up; this was his most comfortable session ever, with an ease radiating from inside out.
"Let’s continue desensitization testing; look at this paper, any reactions?" Qian picked up some cards and showed them to him one by one.
Zheng Xu shook his head.
Qian tested card by card until the last one. When Zheng Xu saw the last card, although the picture made him feel slightly uneasy, he didn’t want to faint!
"Does this make you dizzy?" Qian posed her hand in a sawtooth shape, and Zheng Xu watched her fingers, shaking his head.
But when he moved his gaze to Qian’s face, he felt something weird...
"What’s wrong?" With treatment reaching a breakthrough, Qian was concerned.
Zheng Xu waved his hand, "You stand over there, don’t get too close."
For some reason, being too close to Qian made his heart feel uneasy.
What happened... Qian’s mind went blank; it took a few seconds for her to react.
Good grief... shameless Yu Minglang!
Here lies the side effects of the treatment!
"Stay away from his woman," and it worked!
But no matter what, finding Zheng Xu’s inner issue meant his condition would be easier to treat. Qian estimated that with two more sessions, Zheng Xu could be cured.
This was the biggest case she’d taken on since she returned.
The treatment results were evidently great, making Qian very happy and feeling full of accomplishment.
As she walked out from Zheng Xu’s house, the sunlight was warm.
Qian gracefully declined Zheng Xu’s offer to take her, strolling along the street.
With people coming and going, traffic flowing, the sun shining brightly—this scene played out every day, just with a changing crowd.
Qian walked onto the pedestrian bridge, standing over it, watching people below and recalling a little story she once read.
A child never noticed pregnant women before, but after his mother told him that the women with big bellies were expectant mothers, he started seeing pregnant women on the street as if they just "appeared" out of nowhere. But in fact, they were always there, just unnoticed.
In truth, it’s the same for psychologists.
