Chapter 947 267: Kael's Teasing, the Headmaster's Invitation, and the Springtime of the War Mage (10K) (Part 4)

To speak of just one person alone yields such results; between nations, it is even more so.

If you believe that my influence alone can be the sole catalyst for war between two sides, I suggest you return to your newspaper and take some time to study with the seasoned veterans there.

Setting aside whether my bloodline is tainted or not, if judging a person or event requires referencing one's ancestors, then there's no need for judgments. The likelihood of an ancestor committing not a single error a dozen generations back is practically zero.

The entertainment reporter's expression remained unchanged, suppressing the intense fear stirred by his actions as he continued to question:

"So you still haven't answered me—are you, as a Magic Monarch, completely without regret for your ancestors' crimes, and do you intend to exonerate the Abyss Lord and the Succubus Queen of old?"

Kael laughed heartily, patting his shoulder as he spoke:

"Your skills need improvement. I wonder if you forgot something."

Kael's lips curled into a faintly mocking smile as he said:

"Do you know what happened when the Abyss Fire ignited the Holy Mountain?

Don't forget, the Succubus Queen who destroyed the Holy Mountain back then is still roaming freely within the Bottomless Abyss, and she has even successfully ruled over a layer of the Abyss now.

If true justice is to be served, the first task for the supposedly holy Briania shouldn't be concerning themselves with whether I've harmed the world, nor should they expend so much effort fabricating infamy.

If they truly wish to execute justice's revenge, their first move should be preparing to counter-attack the Abyss, for their true enemy presently stands in the Abyss, mocking them!"

Before the entertainment reporter could ask another question, someone from the media crew behind him discreetly gave him a kick to the back of his leg.

With a jolt of sharp pain, he yelped, and other media members, tired of watching, tacitly dragged him to the rear.

What a joke—what makes him think he can blabber senselessly here?

The other staff still had plenty to ask; even with the security of a federal job, they had to fulfill tasks when such rare big news presented itself.

So once the sinister-minded media member was pulled away by others, a member of the Silver Guard Army quietly escorted them away, and the atmosphere on-site became much livelier.

"Helois Monarch, do you have any specific plans for your future?"

"Helois Monarch, do you think the mass employment of War Mages could destabilize the Alchemy Industry and Magic Technology sectors as individuals leave these industries due to the inherent characteristics of War Mages?"

"Helois Monarch, do you plan to recruit a batch of new apprentices to become War Mages, and if so, what are the requirements to become your student?"

"Helois Monarch, rumors say you favor women with simple looks and heart-shaped bottoms; is there any truth to this?"

"Helois Monarch..."

...

The scene quickly fell into disarray again, though this round of questioning wasn't as explosively contentious as those posed by the previous evidently paid-off reporter.

Still, Kael found the barrage of questions posed by these staffers to be nerve-wracking, and sometimes when confronted with questions he couldn't directly answer, he would dodge them entirely and move on to the next questioner.

As Luxius initially predicted, once the War Mage theory was fully published, it would instantly attract a large amount of attention.

Initially, it was the Magic Monarchs, exchanging Communication Crystal contact information with Kael's side long before even entering the venue.

Many on-site even extended direct invitations to Kael.

The Magic Monarchs declared that, should Kael be willing, regardless of the Duchy or other countries, terms could be discussed.

Some offered such high foundational terms that, even for Kael's current stature, he found it somewhat daunting.

These people were truly insane—how was this different from just throwing money at creating a Magic Monarch?

And if even the Magic Monarchs acted this way, the media team hardly bears mentioning.

Finally slipping away from the clamor of these staffers, Kael managed to retreat backstage for a much-needed rest, only to encounter another group of individuals.

This group carried somewhat special identities and statuses.

They were deans from major Mage Academies within the Yibel Federation.

Interestingly, Kael noticed that in many of the top-ranked comprehensive Magic Academies, there was generally a Magic Monarch serving as a guest Vice Dean.

Just as Luxius serves as the Vice Dean of the Arcane Scrolls Mage Academy, almost every top mage academy in the Federation has a Magic Monarch fulfilling the vice dean's role.
