The Ogre King clamped both of its hands and slammed down but Ray evaded its attack before driving his blade into the King’s thigh with his skill still active.
The paralytic venom instantly began to do its work, coursing through the bloodstream of the huge green skinned monster and Ray could see the venom within the Ogre King’s body, blending with the monster’s blood to turn into a black tar-like liquid spreading itself within the Ogre’s veins.
Now, visible black veins could be seen spreading from within the Ogre’s leg to its thighs and other parts of its body.
The Ogre King instantly dropped to its knees as its body got paralyzed but Ray didn’t let this golden chance go to waste.
Yes, he could have easily just stand back and watch the Ogre King die a slow and miserable death, but a part of him didn’t want to risk the possibility of obtaining a new skill.
He wasn’t sure if he would obtain a skill by just standing by and watching the Ogre King die, so he decided to take the safer route.
After all, it was better to take the tested and trusted pathway rather than one he barely knew what the effects would be.
And so, Ray leaped above the Ogre King to find a space between the bone armor sections at the back of the Chieftain’s neck.
With one clean swipe of his sword, the glowing red eyes of the Ogre King instantly went out.

Ray knelt beside the Ogre King’s body as he stared at the words displayed on his screen.
His lips widened into a grin as he read the whole details of his new skill but his attention was immediately pulled toward Mira’s direction because he recalled Mira was still battling against the Ogre in front of her, so he wondered if she was doing okay or not.
But to his surprise, Ray watched Mira leaping very high as she strike down with her spear piercing through the Ogre’s skull and splitting its body in halves.
Her body was drenched in blood and her limbs ached all over, but she had definitely defeated her opponent who was way higher than her current level, so Ray instantly rushed over to comfort her and to praise her for doing a great job in handling the strong Ogre on her own.
Based on what he had noticed, Ray was certain Mira had single-handedly defeated the Ogre which was most definitely the second in command to the Ogre King, hence why he thought she really deserved to be commended on the achievement she made, but what happened next caught him totally by surprise.
In front of him, barely about forty to fifty meters, was Mira’s body glowing with a special kind of hue.
It was a glow he had seen before and Ray couldn’t help but smile as he watched his beautiful girlfriend having an expression that started and shifted from confusion, to shock, to realization and finally, overwhelming glee.
Mira instantly lifted her head up as she stared at the screen in front of her and a new string of words were displayed in front of her.

Mira glanced at the details of her newly acquired skills, but while she was doing this, she suddenly heard footsteps approaching from behind.
Mira swiftly turned around and Ray could see her eyes streaming with tears and threatening to pour down anytime soon.
His lips widened into a bigger smile as he spreads his arms to welcome her into a hug.
Mira swiftly launched herself into his embrace, still finding it hard to believe that she had actually become an Awakened just now.
"Congratulations Mira.." Ray said as he tightened his grip around her body.
Mira buried her face into his chest, wrapping her arms tightly around him as though she was scared he would be leaving her any time soon. "Thank you..... For everything. Thank you so much."
"But I didn’t do anything."
"Yes, you did."
If Ray hadn’t believed in her and trained her the way he did, Mira wouldn’t have believed she could do all that she had done.
To her, Ray had done something so important, she would forever be grateful to him, and right now, wasn’t different.
The two remained in their embrace for a while before pulling away reluctantly.
"Are you okay? You can rest for now if you want....."
"I’m fine..." Mira replied softly with a nod. She understood why Ray was worried about her and she was pleased to see how much he cared but there was still so much to do and she didn’t want to just sit back and watch her boyfriend do all the work.
"Are you sure? You know you just defeated a really strong Ogre on your own."
"I know." Mira smiled as she realized the huge feat she had achieved on her own and it filled her with joy and excitement.
She slowly glanced at the dead Ogre before returning her gaze back to Ray.
Then she planted a kiss on his lips. "Thank you, but look around us. There’s still so much to do."
They stayed like that for a long moment before Mira collapsed forward onto his chest.
Ray’s arms came around her and their breathing slowed down together.
Eventually, Mira placed her hand on his chest, calming her breathing steadily. "That was....."
"Good? I know, I’m improving a lot."
"Shut up." Mira playfully slammed her clothes on his face, causing Ray to giggle before staring at the ceiling.
Mira smiled before settling beside him.
Her head was still on his chest but her tail had curled over his leg.
Ray’s hand found her hair and moved through it slowly as the two of them enjoyed the silence and calmness of the room.
"I can’t wait to leave this village when the eggs hatched." Mira said softly
"Yeah, but the world outside can be a scary and fun place to be" Ray replied.
"When we leave, we’re not coming back for a long time, are we?"
"No, probably not."
"I’ll miss Emma and your mom though."
"Yeah, me too but I’m sure we won’t wait that long to see them again."
"As long as we get to see them again, I guess that’s fine with me "
"Mira?" Ray called out softly in a serious tone.
"Things are really going to get dangerous and scary from here on out. Are you really sure about this?"
"I know that too and I’m not afraid Ray. I’m an Awakened now, so you have nothing to worry about."
"If you say so." Ray smiled and pulled her up to kiss her properly.
Mira responded with the same intensity and the two of them made love again.
It was slower this time as they both savored the feeling with the desire of enjoying a different kind of pace this time around.
Afterwards, they lay tangled together in the dark and swiftly drifted to sleep.
The next morning, Ray and Mira had woken up very early, despite spending half of the night having sex.
The two kissed briefly before getting dressed but then Ray turned his attention to the eggs.
He began to feed them as usual but to his surprise, while he was feeding the eggs his Wyvern energy, Ray suddenly noticed one of the eggs shifting violently before a large piece of shell fell to the ground with a sound similar to a pottery breaking on the floor
Then they went home and eat garbage with their ass opened hahaha
