Chapter 240 - 207: Offsetting the Backlash, Deities as Medicine to Command

Yi Beidou looked away, then raised his head to the sky.

Spells cascaded down from the Heaven-Reaching Lodge’s Barrier. The entire Barrier was still trembling violently from Yi Beidou’s earlier battle with the giant Shikigami, but it hadn’t shattered completely.

This Barrier was the foundation of the Heaven-Reaching Lodge. It had been reinforced over generations and was deeply connected to the local ley lines.

As long as this Barrier remained, future Yin Yang Masters could continue to cultivate Shikigami here, making it the equivalent of a Grotto Heaven Blessed Land.

He had already killed the Heaven-Reaching Lodge’s strongest member, the Daoist Lord. He had suppressed the Deity formed from the fusion of the school’s inherited Twelve Divine Forms within his own body. Most of their Dharma Artifacts were also destroyed. The only legacy they had left was this Barrier.

"The way of Evil Demons and Heretics Dao is nothing but despicable tricks. I might as well just destroy this Grand Array completely."

Yi Beidou said calmly.

While still under the effects of the Sixth Layer of Reverse Chaos, Yi Beidou pushed his Demon Flame to its limit. He concentrated it in his palm, turned, and slammed his hand into one of the main building’s load-bearing pillars, which was densely covered in Spells.

A terrifying power was unleashed. The pillar shattered and exploded from the force of the blow.

The Heaven-Reaching Lodge consisted of traditional Japanese buildings, constructed mostly from wood. With the terrifying Physical Ability granted by his reversed True Qi, destroying them was effortless for Yi Beidou.

With two strikes, two load-bearing pillars snapped. Half of the main building collapsed, and the Spells etched upon it flickered erratically before dimming completely.

The Spell Barrier in the sky wavered slightly but soon stabilized.

Yi Beidou’s figure blurred, and he appeared before another building. He struck out repeatedly, his palms wreathed in roaring Demon Flame.

The wooden building collapsed as the Demon Flame destroyed and refined the Spells, extinguishing their light.

The ground trembled continuously. Muraoka Rui and the others could only stare blankly at the scene.

Yi Beidou rampaged through the complex, and buildings collapsed one after another. His terrifying destructive power made it feel as if they were watching a monster movie.

The destructive power of that figure was not human; it was that of a monster.

"Lady Witch!!"

Seeing this, a few of the Heaven-Reaching Lodge’s subordinates seemed to realize what was happening. They looked anxiously toward Hei Mu Hezi, who was kneeling on the ground.

Now that Tsuchimikado Kazai was seemingly dead, Hei Mu Hezi was the highest-ranking person from the Heaven-Reaching Lodge on site.

Hei Mu Hezi, of course, understood Yi Beidou’s intentions as well.

This time, Muraoka Rui and his crew could no longer keep their footing and collapsed to the ground. Their heavy camera crashed down, the lens shattering and components flying everywhere. It instantly stopped working, and all the livestream feeds went dark.

Hei Mu Hezi looked up at the sky in terror. A few of the Spell Chains hanging from the heavens suddenly disintegrated, dissolving into motes of light.

After landing the first punch, Yi Beidou’s figure flickered, and he reappeared at another spot to deliver a second.

The Demon Flame pierced the earth like a nail, and the Spells in the sky continued to crumble.

"No!"

This time, Hei Mu Hezi lost her composure completely. She struggled to her feet and ran toward Yi Beidou.

"Everyone, turn around! Don’t look back!"

Seeing this, an older, middle-aged man among the remaining Heaven-Reaching Lodge disciples couldn’t help but grit his teeth and roar the command.
