Chapter 174 - 169: The Person in the Shadows, a Sensation Across the Ocean

Yao Lingfeng was lifted into the air, Yi Beidou’s hand clamped around his neck. The so-called Perfect Super Warrior had no power to resist whatsoever, unable even to take his own life.

Unable to live and unable to die, his very life and death rested in the hands of the god-like young man before him.

Yi Beidou’s expression was calm. With a slight squeeze of his hand, Yao Lingfeng’s eyes rolled back in his head, and he lost consciousness.

Normally, the chip in the host’s brain would likely have activated under these conditions. But now, with the man in Yi Beidou’s grasp, even the brain chip was affected by the magnetic field and temporarily disabled, unable to function.

Yi Beidou’s aura had flared up like a signal beacon, so they had naturally sensed it. Thinking some major incident had occurred, they had rushed over to investigate.

A streak of Qing Guang was the fastest among them—it was Emei Zhou Qingchen.

Her presence was crisp and her Qi was light, making her the swiftest. The other Saint Experts had to push through the crowd to avoid accidentally injuring anyone, so they couldn’t reach their top speed. She, however, leaped directly into the air, bounding over the shoulders of the crowd as if she were weightless.

"What’s going on?"

Zhou Qingchen landed beside Yi Beidou. Her gaze swept over Yao Lingfeng, who was covered in Blue-White Demon Flame and dangling from his hand, and she raised an eyebrow slightly.

"A Super Warrior who was lying in wait. He should be connected to some Secret Organization. The ambush I faced a while ago was probably related to him."

Yi Beidou said.

Hearing this, Zhou Qingchen looked slightly startled and glanced at Yao Lingfeng.

’A Super Warrior?’

’Judging by the situation, this man must have been in the crowd watching the event. He was right under our noses, yet so many of us Saint Experts failed to notice him at all.’

"Is his life in danger?"

"How long can you maintain it?"

Wei Cheng asked.

That amount of time would be nowhere near enough to remove the chip from the Super Warrior’s brain.

Yi Beidou held up one finger.

A momentary burst was easy, but maintaining that peak state continuously was incredibly difficult.

Even Saint Experts were still flesh and blood.

An hour still wasn’t quite enough time to immediately assemble a medical team and remove the chip.

That was the trickiest part.

"No, one day. You can go ahead and call in people to remove the chip. If one day isn’t enough, I can go a little longer."

Yi Beidou gave a rather conservative estimate.

For a moment, Wei Cheng and the others were so stunned they could only stand there with their mouths agape, at a loss for words.

Wei Cheng took a deep breath. Without another word, he immediately pulled out his walkie-talkie and called for personnel from the Special Security Bureau.

Soon, a number of sharply dressed agents from the Special Security Bureau arrived and temporarily cordoned off the scene. A vehicle pulled up, and Yi Beidou boarded it, still holding Yao Lingfeng.

「Sometime later, in the dead of night.」

A military plane flew in from Kyoto and landed at Modu Airport.

Onboard were the nation’s top experts in the Brain Realm, who had been urgently summoned by the relevant authorities to rush to Modu.
