Chapter 188 188: Ch-188 One Final Attack.

Raikage knew he could only give his one best shot—one final attack. After this, even his Lightning Chakra Mode and its frantic cell stimulation wouldn't be able to repair such a fatal wound. His body was already screaming at him, barely holding together.

He had come here alongside the Mizukage with a single intention: completely destroy the Land of Uzumaki and let no one escape. And now, staring across the battlefield, he could clearly see that the Uzumaki shared that exact intention.

The way the Uzumaki siblings tore through the forces of Kumogakure and Kirigakure left no doubt. Their movements were sharp, merciless, their expressions carved with resolve. They were dead serious—every strike meant to pin these invaders here forever and deny them even the smallest chance to flee.

And honestly, it made perfect sense.

You reap what you sow.

Most of the invading army had already collapsed from Shanks' Conquerors Haki—fainting in the water. But because Raikage and Shanks had been locked in battle for so long, those fainted shinobi were starting to regain consciousness. Groggy, shaking, they attempted to rise and somehow resist the onslaught of the Uzumaki siblings.

But all of it was useless.

After all, the Uzumaki siblings were on a completely different level.

While Raikage was thinking all this, Shanks stared at him, genuinely surprised. He had completely suppressed his presence when he struck—silent, intent, lethal. Yet somehow Raikage's body had moved on instinct alone, reacting to the threat even when his mind lagged behind.

Or maybe my blade grazed the edge of his Lightning Chakra Mode, Shanks thought.

His target had always been the Raikage's heart, not his left lung. So even though the strike was brutal and Raikage was severely injured, he wasn't dead—exactly as Shanks intended.

Raikage lifted his head and faced him squarely.

"Let's use our best attacks against each other," he said, voice rough but steady. "I just hope that if I die by your hands… at the very least, if I manage to injure you even a little, you'll respectfully send the bodies of our ninjas back to our village."

Shanks sheathed his sword and said, "Very well, let's do as you say. If you're able to injure me in this final attack of yours, then I promise the bodies of your ninjas—not only yours, but also Kirigakure's—will be returned, at least in a presentable state."

His gaze hardened. "We won't harm them, aside from whatever damage they take in the heat of battle."

Raikage understood immediately. This was a warrior-to-warrior vow, and Shanks would honor it. Shanks was a swordsman, a proper warrior—a true shinobi. His word carried steel in it.

As soon as the promise settled between them, the lightning chakra coating Raikage's body flared violently. Sparks ripped through the air as he thrust his right arm forward, four fingers extended and aiming straight at Shanks.

Shanks narrowed his eyes. He recognized that stance instantly—Hell Stab.

He braced himself. Lightning flared around his own body, white-blue at first, buzzing like multiple bees. But the moment he unleashed his Conqueror's Haki, that glow shifted—bleeding into pure, violent red. Black lightning threaded through it, crackling like tearing fabric; the raw signature of Conqueror's Haki.

He wrapped his blade in Armament Haki, layered it with lightning chakra, and then coated the sword in advanced Conqueror's Haki.

Shanks was readying his signature move—Divine Departure.

Both the Third Raikage and Shanks vanished in a blur, their feet kicking up twin sprays of seawater instead of dust. Ripples exploded outward where they had stood, spreading across the dark ocean surface.

As the Raikage surged forward, his extended hand shifted—four fingers to three, three to two, and finally down to one. With every finger lowered, the chakra on his hand condensed further, sharper, deadlier, until it felt like the very air was being pierced. By the time he reached striking distance, the technique had fully formed: Hell Stab: One-Finger Nukite, the strongest spear known to the shinobi world.

His defence, famed as the strongest shield, had already been broken earlier—shattered by Shanks's sword strikes. Yet he forced his battered body forward, channelling every last shred of chakra and willpower into this final thrust.

Now it was down to this—strongest sword attack versus strongest spear.

Shanks swung with everything he had, Divine Departure crackling with white-blue lightning, Conqueror's Haki turning that glow into furious red streaked with black lines. The blade and spear met dead centre over the water.

The collision detonated like a storm.

Half-red, half-white light burst outward, dazzling against the sea night. A massive shockwave ripped across the ocean surface, blasting seawater into towering sheets that rained back down like a sudden monsoon.

Every Uzumaki sibling—and every awakened shinobi from Kumogakure and Kirigakure—snapped their heads toward that clash. This was the single deciding moment of the war, especially now that the Mizukage lay dead beneath the waves.

So, Kirigakure was now completely out of the picture. Most of its remaining shinobi were desperate to flee, splashing back across the water with panic in their eyes. But Kumogakure was still locked in the fight. And because of the alliance between the two villages, many Kirigakure ninjas found themselves hesitating—torn between escape and revenge, vengeance and survival.

Right now, everything depended on the outcome of that clash between Shanks and the Third Raikage.

If the Raikage won, then grinding forward in this battle made sense—victory might still be in reach.

But if Shanks emerged victorious, then doom was guaranteed.

Both forces—Kumogakure and Kirigakure alike—would have only one option left: run for their lives.
