"Come on, I think your standards are just too high."

Crossing through the campus, Chen Fan walked Xu Qiuci all the way back to the female dorms.
As they passed by the female dorm building, many people took notice of the pair.
Jaws instantly dropped to the ground.
The aloof goddess of the student union actually had a boyfriend?
Who was this guy?
How did he manage to score the goddess?
Suddenly, many were whispering and discussing just who Chen Fan was and where he came from.
Facing the strange looks and whispers around them, Xu Qiuci remained perfectly calm, as if she was long used to it.
When they reached the dorm building, the two didn't exchange many words.
"Well, I'll get going then."
Chen Fan waved goodbye, and the two parted ways.
However, soon after, rumors spread through the foreign language department that the aloof goddess had been conquered by a freshman from another department.
Faced with these rumors and gossip, Xu Qiuci simply laughed it off, choosing not to explain or defend herself.
Back in her dorm room, everyone happened to be there.

Just as Chen Fan had changed into his slippers, there was a knock on the door. A male student carrying a bag of apples came in with a smile.
It was Gao Bo, the same guy who had run against Wu Di for class monitor.
"Everyone's here."
"Old Wu, you're here too, perfect timing. I was just about to look for you."
Wu Di shook the foam off his hands and looked over.
"What's up?"
"Heh heh, there's something I wanted to chat with you about."
Gao Bo handed the apples to Chen Fan.
"I bought some fruit, everyone can share it."
Chen Fan smiled.
"No need to be so polite."
"Haha, it's nothing fancy, just have some. I'll buy more if we run out."
After pushing the apples into Chen Fan's arms, he gave Wu Di a signal.
"Let's go out and chat for a bit?"
Wu Di wiped his hands and left with Gao Bo.
Chen Fan placed the apples on the desk and asked curiously, "What's he here for?"
"It's been so long since the start of the semester, has Gao Bo ever come to our dorm to visit before?"
"Why is he being so polite today?"
Ma Xiaoshuai finished his call and came in, immediately mocking, "What else could it be? It's about the class monitor election."
"This guy probably feels like he can't beat Wu Di, so he's trying another approach."
