Chen Jianye glared. "What kind of talk is that? This house was bought for you two in the first place. Of course, we need to hear your opinions on the decoration."
"We old folks don't understand these things. If it ends up not looking good, wouldn't that be a waste of money?"
Chen Fan smiled wryly, "Dad, wasn't this house bought for you and Mom to live in?"
"We're living just fine in the village, why would we move to the county?"
"Besides, living in an apartment in the county is not convenient at all, and we don't know anyone around there. What's the point?"

Chen Jianye picked up a peanut and crunched on it. "I know you're being filial, but your mom and I have discussed it. We're not moving for now. We've grown attached to this place, and all our relatives and friends are here. If we move away, we won't have anyone to talk to on a daily basis."

Chen Jianye continued, "If you really want to be filial, when you make big money in the future, buy a big house for your mom and me somewhere else. Let us experience city life for a while."
Chen Fan laughed. "That's not hard at all. Dad, when I make it big in the future, I'll buy you a big villa in the south. The environment is good there, the air is good too, perfect for you two to retire."
Chen Jianye was amused. "Why go so far? Your mom and I are still hoping to hold our grandchildren."
