If she can’t even handle this, then she truly isn’t worthy of standing by my younger brother’s side. Besides, the Ye Family would never allow her to become their matriarch.

"Ye Second Young Master, you inhuman bastard!" Shangguan You roared, kicking out at the blood-drenched figure lunging towards her.

"This must be the Zhuge Family’s secret experimental base, where they conduct their unsavory business," Ye Second Young Master said softly as they descended lightly. This area was different from the stone chamber; a long corridor stretched before them, lined with individual rooms on both sides. They had to be quite far from the rockery by now.

It was deep in the night, and all the room doors were tightly shut. Everyone inside should be sound asleep by now, Shangguan You thought. She rapidly formed hand seals, casting a sleep talisman.
