"Of course, Youyou is indeed a beauty. Where are you heading now?" Bai Muxue asked with a smile."We don’t have money, so we’re hoping to try our luck," Shangguan You said, somewhat embarrassed, while Ye Ershao maintained his cool and aloof demeanor.

Although she really wanted to go to Zhuge Feng right now, it was best to get a clear grasp of the situation first. And considering Ye Ershao’s indifferent attitude, she realized she had to rely on herself. Shangguan You sighed inwardly.

Bai Muxue chuckled. "Why don’t you stay at my place?" he offered, seeing the disappointed look on Shangguan You’s face.

"Stay at your place?" Shangguan You asked in surprise. They had just met. Bai Muxue was so kind to offer them shelter at his home, but could it be for the convenience of keeping an eye on them?

"Let’s stay at their place," Ye Ershao transmitted his voice coldly. Shangguan You could clearly sense the impatience in his tone.

"Won’t it be inconvenient for Uncle Bai? I’m afraid that..." Shangguan You recoiled slightly.

Bai Muxue chuckled. "I’m not married, so what is there to be afraid of? Besides, you’ll stay in my separate courtyard. It’s no problem; I’m the only one there," he said, touching Shangguan You’s braid with a smile.

"Then I’ll have to trouble Uncle Bai," Shangguan You said excitedly. Then, with a happy face, she grabbed Ye Ershao’s arm. "Cousin, we finally have a place to stay! We won’t have to sleep on the streets anymore."

"Hmph," Ye Ershao replied indifferently, attempting to shake off Shangguan You’s hand, but she held on too tightly, and he couldn’t.

Hearing his words, Shangguan You’s chest tightened with frustration. She was penniless because Ye Ershao hadn’t clarified that the money she had couldn’t be used here. How was that her fault? Was it her fault at all?

"What’s your purpose in infiltrating the Bai Family?" she pressed.

"No purpose. I just want a place to stay. To use your words, I don’t want to sleep on the streets."

"I’m here to find Zhuge Feng," Shangguan You stated, her deep eyes flashing as she looked at Ye Ershao coldly. "And since you’re my subordinate now, even if you want to do something, wait until my affairs are settled. I won’t stop you then." She paused. "Besides, if I were to truly undertake a task, do you think this lad could stop me?"

Ye Ershao glanced coldly and fell silent.

Bai Muxue turned his head back, smiling at them warmly, like a spring breeze. "Youyou, what are you two whispering about? Once we cross this bamboo forest, Gambling Street is just ahead."

The group emerged from the bamboo forest. Shangguan You’s expression changed abruptly before quickly returning to normal. It’s a small world, indeed. To run into them on her very first day in Hidden World Village... she didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

"Jianfei, I really didn’t expect to meet you here," Bai Muxue greeted Fang Jianfei’s group with a smile. The group consisted of Fang Jianfei, Fang Jianyu, the Li Family’s Li Zhaohong and Li Zhaoyang, and the Zhuge Family’s Zhuge Peng and Zhuge Yue—six people in total. They had changed into the distinctive attire of their respective families—flowing traditional robes that were quite a sight.

Zhuge Yue had already changed out of the strappy dress she wore earlier. The moment the three women—Zhuge Yue, Fang Jianyu, and Li Zhaohong—saw Bai Muxue, their eyes lit up. Their gazes gleamed with undisguised adoration; had their family members not been watching, they would have pounced on him.

"Muxue, what a rare visitor! What brings you here?" Fang Jianfei politely addressed Bai Muxue. His gaze swept over the two people by Bai Muxue’s side with a hint of confusion. How could someone as busy as Bai Muxue come to Gambling Street? Such a rare sight.

"I’m with two friends who want to experience Gambling Street here, so I came along to show them around," Bai Muxue explained his presence casually.

"Since we’ve met, Brother Bai, why don’t we go together? I heard many Spirit Stones arrived today," Zhuge Yue urged, moving a few steps closer to Bai Muxue.

"Yes, Brother Bai, let’s go! Let’s go together," Fang Jianyu and Li Zhaohong quickly chimed in.

"With such enthusiastic invitations from you three ladies, I can hardly refuse. Let’s go together then," Bai Muxue nodded. He moved forward to join Fang Jianfei, and they all set off for Gambling Street.

Shangguan You and Ye Ershao exchanged a glance and followed behind them.

Zhuge Yue saw Bai Muxue nod to Shangguan You, then turn to speak with the other three, completely ignoring her. "Hmph, so ugly," she muttered.
