"Elder Zhuge!" Zhuge Yang exclaimed in shock. He dived into the water and swiftly lifted the gasping Elder Zhuge out.

"COUGH COUGH COUGH! Lord Meihua, you—" Another mouthful of blood escaped Elder Zhuge’s lips. He looked at Shangguan You, his hands trembling, his face a mask of disbelief. A girl barely in her teens, yet so powerful! He had lived for hundreds of years and only reached his current level through arduous cultivation. This girl is too terrifying!

"Alright, that was just a warm-up. Now for some real action." Shangguan You laughed heartily, her raspy voice ringing out. "Are you all ready?" Her words—that the powerful Spiritual Energy from before was just a warm-up—made the three men gasp.

"Lord Meihua, we do not interfere in each other’s affairs, and you have already obtained what you wanted. Why must you make things difficult for us juniors?" Zhuge Ao’s cold eyes flashed as he respectfully addressed Shangguan You.

"Juniors my ass! I’m only sixteen years old!" Shangguan You retorted. What a load of nonsense, she fumed internally. Meanwhile, when Elder Zhuge heard Zhuge Ao say, "why must you make things difficult for us juniors," he became so agitated that he spat out another mouthful of blood. That girl is only in her teens! How could he call himself her junior? She’s young enough to be his daughter, and a very young one at that!

"Hmph! The fact that I’ve sought you out shows I deem you worthy of my attention," Shangguan You snorted coldly. "As long as you cooperate obediently, I won’t take your insignificant lives. Since you’re prepared, let’s begin." Flicking her fingers, a pale green Element appeared.

"Get ready," Shangguan You reminded the three once more. "Lightning, strike!" she called out softly. A translucent glow shot towards the three men—an invisible, odorless Electric Shock.

The Electric Shock carried powerful electricity and boundless strength. It swept over them with a few SIZZLES. Their hair stood on end, one strand at a time. Their originally white Tang suits turned scorched black, their faces were blackened, and smoke even emitted from their mouths as their bodies fell stiffly to the ground.

"Return," Shangguan You called out softly, and the Electric Shock vanished. Looking at the three badly burnt figures, she pursed her lips. "Didn’t I tell you to be careful? How did none of you think to dodge? You allowed my Lightning to hit you directly." Her muttered words made Elder Zhuge glare, so furious he almost fainted on the spot.

She had warned them, but they hadn’t seen the attack coming. By the time they noticed, it was already upon them, impossible to dodge.

Zhuge Ao, his hair singed, pleaded with Shangguan You, "Senior, we’ve already been tested. Can we leave now?" That feeling of being electrocuted was unbearable! I swear I never want to experience it again. Even now, just thinking about the current coursing through my body makes me shudder with fear.

"I can naturally let you leave after the test is finished, but the problem is, it’s not finished yet." Shangguan You’s lips curved into a mischievous smile. With a flick of her finger, all the trees on the sandy shore began to rapidly move towards them.

One root, then two, then three, and more appeared. The wide beach was now packed with trees. Countless roots, branches, and leaves attacked the three men.

Shangguan You sat in mid-air on a throne fashioned from the Water Element, watching the battle against the trees below. She laughed out loud as she saw Zhuge Ao bound and immobilized by countless tendrils.

Zhuge Yang, however, still had some skill. He managed to dodge every incoming tree and branch, but he was still wounded in numerous places. Elder Zhuge, already seriously injured, was now just like Zhuge Ao—entwined as if he were part of a tree.

"Zhuge Yang, be careful!" Shangguan You called out, directing countless leaves, as sharp as swords, towards Zhuge Yang.

"AAAH!" Zhuge Yang screamed. He was struck by leaves in numerous places, and blood flowed freely. Distracted for a moment, he was bound by countless leaves.

"Perfect timing." Shangguan You clapped her hands, descending from mid-air. She looked at the three pitiful figures on the ground with a light smirk.

"What kind of sorcery are you using? Why do these trees obey you?" Zhuge Ao asked raggedly.

"She’s using the Wood Spirit Bead! The Wood Spirit Bead can control all the plants in the world!" Elder Zhuge stared at Shangguan You with hatred.

"Hahaha, Elder Zhuge, you do know your stuff. Tonight’s fun ends here. After I find the Gold Spiritual Bead, I’ll play with you all again, slowly." Shangguan You laughed loudly. Waving her hands, she commanded all the trees to quickly move back to their original places. However, the trees that were once lush with foliage were now completely bare; Shangguan You had used their leaves as weapons.
