Chapter 512 - 507: They’re Simply Inhuman

"Let’s drop it, no need for anyone to persuade me anymore. Actually, Luo Zhiyong and I have discussed this a long time ago. It’s just that we were worried about you all, so we didn’t say anything. I’ve made up my mind about the divorce. I won’t change my mind." After saying this, Fang Pingying instructed Fang Xiu, "Xiu’er, prepare the meal. After eating, you all should head back early. If you’re free tomorrow, come over and help me look after the kids. Tomorrow, I’m going home to get divorced."

She lay flat on the bed, recalling every bit and piece of her marriage with Luo Zhiyong. Before she knew it, her tears had soaked the pillow.

She swore that if there was another life, she would never want to encounter Luo Zhiyong.

Without him, her heart wouldn’t be hurt, and there wouldn’t be so many troubles that followed.

Fang Pingying lay in her room for a while when suddenly the bedroom door creaked. Immediately afterward, she saw Yaoyao and Ruirui running unsteadily towards the bed, shouting, "Mommy."

Following behind was Luo Honglan, who looked at Fang Pingying and said nothing.

For some reason, seeing the two little ones made Fang Pingying’s nose inexplicably sore, and the tears she had just stopped flowed down uncontrollably.

Afraid that the little ones would see, Fang Pingying wiped her tears while pretending to be fine, then turned around and beckoned to them, "Come to Mommy."

"If it were someone else, I would definitely advise them to get divorced. My mother and my second brother..." Luo Honglan furrowed her brows tightly and said with resentment, "They are simply inhuman."

They just keep harming one after another. First, it was Fang Xiu, then her, and now it’s Fang Pingying and Luo Zhiyong’s turn. Actually, all these issues are related to Xu He, Luo Zhiming, and Zhou Yunmei.

"Honglan." At this point, Fang Pingying no longer wished to blame anyone from the Luo Family; anyhow, whether they were inhuman or not didn’t concern her anymore.

Luo Honglan looked at Fang Pingying and wanted to say a few good words for Luo Zhiyong, "But you’re my sister-in-law, and I don’t want you to divorce my brother. My brother is a good person, his mistake is being born into such a family. In reality, he’s been harmed by his own family."

"He..." Fang Pingying eventually chose not to say more and shook her head at Luo Honglan, "Never mind, let’s not bring up the past. It doesn’t matter who’s right or wrong now. I’ve decided on the divorce, and no one can stop me."

"Alright then, I won’t try to persuade you any further," Luo Honglan said upon hearing this, not insisting anymore. She simply said to Fang Pingying, "I just came over to let you know that Chen Jie is coming to pick me up for a movie tonight, we arranged it a while ago. I’ll be stepping out; Ruirui and Yaoyao will be at home."

"Go ahead, I’ll keep an eye on them," Fang Pingying immediately agreed upon hearing it was Chen Jie who would come to pick her up, "Young girls shouldn’t always stay at home either. You should go out when you need to. Let me know if you need anything; I’ll manage my time."

"Okay." After saying goodbye to Fang Pingying, Luo Honglan left on her own.

After waiting downstairs for a while, Chen Jie hurried over on his bicycle.

As soon as he saw Hong Lan, Chen Jie stopped his bicycle, walked over, took Luo Honglan’s hand, and asked with a smile, "What’s up? You don’t have to watch over Ruirui and Yaoyao today and actually have time to go see a movie with me. It’s not even the weekend."

Luo Honglan sighed and said with a worried face, "How could I be in the mood for a movie? I just want you to accompany me to my older brother’s place; I have something to talk to him about."

"Go see Camp Chief Luo?" Chen Jie had heard about Luo Zhiyong going away for training and asked somewhat puzzled, "Didn’t you say he was on a business trip?"

Luo Honglan shook her head, "No, my brother and sister-in-law had an argument and are now talking about getting a divorce. They didn’t want us to know before and lied to us."

Upon hearing this, Chen Jie was taken aback and asked repeatedly, "A divorce? How come they are making such a big deal out of it? I always thought your sister-in-law and Camp Chief Luo got along very well."

"It’s all because of the trouble at home." Chen Jie rode his bicycle, taking Luo Honglan to Luo Zhiyong’s military camp.

Chen Jie had visited Luo Zhiyong’s dormitory before and quickly found it.

With these things happening, Luo Zhiyong returned home but had no appetite for anything else, he didn’t even eat dinner, just sat alone in his room smoking sullenly.

When Luo Honglan and he entered the room, it was filled with smoke, which made them choke.

Luo Honglan hurried forward, quickly opening the windows while complaining, "Big brother, why smoke so much, don’t you know sister-in-law doesn’t like you smoking?"

Hearing the name Fang Pingying, Luo Zhiyong smiled bitterly and said, "Starting from tomorrow, she won’t be your sister-in-law anymore. Whether I smoke or not, it’s no longer her concern."

Chen Jie looked around the room and didn’t see any signs of dinner, suspecting Luo Zhiyong hadn’t had his meal. Since he and Luo Honglan were going to talk about family matters, which he felt it was not his place to comment on, so he offered, "Camp Chief Luo, haven’t you eaten yet? How about I go buy some food?"

Luo Zhiyong said there is no need, but Luo Honglan ordered Chen Jie, "Go ahead, just buy something casual, get whatever you like, I’ve already eaten."

Chen Jie nodded in response, "Alright, I’ll go now."
