Chapter 446: Useless Dim Sum Daniel Green
Chapter 446: Useless Dim Sum Daniel Green
Mason returned with a bag in hand.Seeing him, Daniel and Bella immediately ducked out like mice seeing a cat, their heads down.
Bella then emerged from the covers, looking at the man who was even more soaked by the rain and paused in surprise.
"Didn’t use an umbrella?"
"I did, but the rain got heavier and it’s windy. The umbrella was useless."
The man said calmly, then unbuttoned his nearly soaked shirt and took it off.
Bella, wrapped in the blanket into a small bundle, poked out her fluffy little head, staring at the man’s honey-colored chest, dumbfounded and forgetting to react.
This was her first time openly and unabashedly admiring Mason’s physique.
The last time was cut short after a quick glance, but this time, she had a legitimate excuse to look openly.
Mason, having taken off his shirt, didn’t rush to put on dry clothes and instead looked at Bella with a smile.
"Nice view?"
Bella nodded dazedly, then snapped back to reality, her cheeks flushed.
"Put your clothes on quickly, or you’ll catch a cold."
Mason nonchalantly said, "I thought you wanted to look."
Bella: "..." Want to look, my foot?
Mason grabbed new clothes to put on, then started taking off his pants.
Bella blushed again, quickly ducked her head, reducing herself to a tousled ball of short hair under the blanket.
The sight made Mason chuckle softly, quickly changing his pants, and moving to the inflatable tent bed.
He took off his shoes, got on the bed, snuggled into the covers, and once again embraced Bella.
"Be good, sleep for a while."
He petted her head, which was still a bit warm.
Bella nestled her little head in his arms, then shouted toward the door.
"Daniel!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Daniel came rushing in.
Looking at the boy standing stupidly there wrapped in a military coat, Bella’s mouth twitched.
Clothes definitely make the man.
Just changing outfits made such a difference; in front of her was a bona fide country bumpkin.
"There’s a quilt on the kang, find a place to spread it out," she said.
Daniel looked at the quilt, gave an oh, and was ready to make the bed on the kang.
Mark, who came in, took one look at Mason’s gloomy face and quickly pulled Daniel aside.
"Heh, it’s chilly in here; um, there’s a mattress, let’s set it up outside."
"Why didn’t you say there was a mattress earlier?"
"I just didn’t remember for a moment, heh, heh."
Finally, under Daniel’s resentful gaze, Mark carried the inflatable mattress outside to set it up.
Daniel wasn’t in a hurry to leave, instead, he looked resentfully at the girl nestled in Mason’s arms.
Why was she so fierce with him, yet turned into a little lamb around Mason?
The once Mason-revering and respectful Daniel now found Mason increasingly irritating.
Bella never showed him even a little kindness but indulged Mason. Why!
"Daniel," Bella spoke again.
Hearing the voice, Daniel’s eyes immediately brightened, looking at her eagerly.
Was she going to let him stay in the room?
"Light some firewood and start a fire outside. Have you learned how to do it yet?"
Daniel: "..."
"I’ve learned," the young man said sullenly, then squatted on the ground to start the fire.
Mason heard this and slightly frowned.
"You started this fire?" he asked.
Bella nodded, "What’s wrong?"
The man looked up and coldly glanced at Daniel, "What’s the point of him being here? A grown man and a woman have to do this sort of thing?"
Daniel, receiving a crushing blow: "..."
