Rebirth of the Peak Young Master

Chapter 1412: Wailing and Weeping

Chapter 1412: Wailing and Weeping

The big guy took a kick from Tian Jue, but his right arm was still locked tightly in Tian Jue’s grip. His whole body flew into the air and crashed heavily onto the ground. The moment he hit the floor, Tian Jue gave a twitch of his right shoulder, that all-too-familiar sound of a joint being torn out came again, followed by the man’s agonized howling and sobbing.

Tian Jue pushed the door open and went in. A big guy rushed into the villa. He’d probably heard the crying outside the door. He knew Tian Jue and his crew were the intruders. The big guy didn’t waste words. He barreled over swinging his fists.

Tian Jue was even more direct. He drove a kick into the big guy’s crotch. The big guy immediately clutched his groin and rolled on the floor.

Seeing this, Jiang Guangrong couldn’t help shivering. His hand, without thinking, slid slowly into his pocket. The three of them almost jumped when they saw that.

Tian Jue said softly, "Let’s go."

Jiang Guangrong immediately chimed in, "Let’s go."

The five of them quickly reached the second floor, during which Tian Jue casually laid out another three grown men on the ground.

Shi Jin pointed at a door on the second floor and said, "That guy bumps into me here every time!"

"Bang bang."

Before Shi Jin finished, Tian Jue had already kicked the door open, while Jiang Guangrong’s hand was still in his pocket. Since he was here to ask questions and take the owner of the villa back to apologize to Sunx Han, he naturally had to act arrogant.

Jiang Guangrong walked in slowly and found the room empty, except for a half-closed suitcase filled with several bags of white powder.

Jiang Guangrong nodded at Tian Jue. Tian Jue hurried over to the suitcase. He pulled a knife from his pocket and lightly slit open one of the small white powder bags. Then he brought his hand to his nose and sniffed: "Top stuff. This is methamphetamine. A whole case this big, we’re talking tens of millions."

Jiang Guangrong nodded. "This can wait. We should grab the guy first."

"Yeah." Tian Jue nodded.

The five of them stepped out of the room. By now, the third floor downstairs had probably heard the commotion. Seven or eight people rushed down in a panic and surrounded Jiang Guangrong’s group at the doorway.

What shocked Jiang Wen was that among this crowd were two familiar faces: one was Zhong Botao, the other was that "spectacle guy" they’d partied with in the bar before heading to the suicide squad. Only now, in this situation, that glasses-wearing guy turned out to be Zhong Botao’s older brother.

Zhong Botao also stared at Jiang Guangrong in surprise. "Guangrong? What are you doing here?"

Jiang Guangrong smiled. "Oh, isn’t this Brother Bai Tao, this is—"

The guy in glasses saw Jiang Guangrong and immediately jumped up. "Bro, this son of a bitch beat me up in the bar! You have to get justice for me!"

"Shut up!" Zhong Baitao glared at him, then turned back to Jiang Guangrong with an apologetic smile. "Guangrong, don’t mind him. This is my brother, Zhong Qing. I’m sure there’s some misunderstanding between you two. Little crap like this can totally be avoided. Sit down, have a chat. Like they say, you don’t know each other until you fight, right? Sss... But Guangrong, why’d you suddenly show up at my brother’s villa?"

Jiang Guangrong said coolly, "Nothing much. Your brother had someone tail a friend of mine. I caught the guy and smacked him around twice. As for your brother, the one who hired him, I have to take him back to apologize to my friend."

Jiang Guangrong’s words were polite, but Zhong Botao’s view of him changed. This Jiang Guangrong was no longer the same Jiang Guangrong who’d gone into the suicide squad back then. He wasn’t so soft anymore. Zhong Botao didn’t believe for a second that Jiang Guangrong wanted Zhong Qing just to apologize. Zhong Botao turned his head and slapped Zhong Qing across the face. "You little shit, how dare you pull filthy sneaky crap like this behind my back?"

Jiang Guangrong’s eyes narrowed. Zhong Baitao had slapped Zhong Qing, but he hadn’t used much force. And Zhong Baitao’s face didn’t match the anger in his tone. He was just putting on a show. Jiang Guangrong smiled. "Brother Botao, don’t be so mad. I’m sure your brother just lost his head for a moment. I’m not out to embarrass him. He just needs to come with me alone and apologize to my friend. Even if the business with the stolen photos is over, don’t hit him anymore. A proper apology settles it. No need to make it a fight. Nobody wants to taste flesh and blood, right, Brother Qing? Let Brother Qing come alone, yeah?"

Zhong Botao’s face started to look awkward too. He’d slapped Zhong Qing; even if most of it was for show, he’d given Jiang Guangrong some face. He hadn’t expected Jiang Guangrong to dig his heels in. He kept saying it was just an apology, but he kept stressing Zhong Qing had to go alone. Zhong Botao knew this was about more than an apology.

Thinking of that, Zhong Baitao’s expression turned even uglier, and his tone stiffened. "So, Brother Guangrong, you’re really not going to give me this face today—you insist on taking my brother away?"

Jiang Guangrong frowned slightly, his expression turning a bit strained as well. His plan was to take Zhong Qing to apologize to Sunx Han.

Jiang Guangrong let out a cold laugh. "No matter what, Zhong Qing is coming with me today!"

Zhong Baitao glared at him. "Who did my brother have followed?"

"Sunx Han. Miss Sunx."

Zhong Baitao suddenly laughed. "So you’re set on not giving me face today over this woman?"

Jiang Guangrong shook his head. "Brother Bai Tao, it’s not that I won’t give you face. I already said, Zhong Qing comes with me alone to apologize. That’s it. Nothing else to discuss."

"No way! Brother Guangrong, put yourself in my shoes—if it was your little brother, would you let someone take him away?" Zhong Botao shook his head flatly.

Jiang Guangrong pointed into the room with his right hand. "Then what if your brother’s in there moving major ice? You still going to cover for him?"

A flash of shock crossed Zhong Baitao’s eyes. Clearly he’d had no idea. He stared at Zhong Qing in disbelief. "Guangrong, is it true? You’re still moving ice? Didn’t you hear what I told you? I warned you, and you treat it like I was farting?"

Zhong Baitao slapped Zhong Qing again. This time Zhong Botao wasn’t acting for Jiang Guangrong; he was slapping Zhong Qing for real, right in his face. Zhong Qing’s face swelled up immediately, palm prints blooming all over.

Zhong Qing denied it. "Big Bro, did you hear what he said? He just wants an excuse to take me away and kill me!"

Jiang Guangrong smiled. "Excuse? That big case full of ice

dope is worth, what, tens of millions, right? What do you think I’m worth? Where would I get a whole case that big just to throw at you? You think it’s easy for me to find a shipment this size? If you hadn’t left the case open, I could’ve just set it right here. Brother Botao, you can ask them. They used to be your guys. They wouldn’t dare lie to you, right?"

Zhong Botao glanced at Axin and Aying. They both nodded.

Zhong Qing panicked. "It must’ve been that little bitch Sunx Han who gave it to you. You two dogs are in bed with outsiders, trying to set me up—"

"Crack."

Zhong Baitao slapped Zhong Qing again. "Shut up. I warned you before: if the Boss finds out about you selling ice, you’re dead. Get on your knees and beg Brother Guangrong to let you go!"

Zhong Qing stubbornly lifted his head, refusing to look straight at Jiang Guangrong.

Jiang Guangrong suddenly thought of something. He looked around the villa and said with a hint of praise, "Brother Bai Tao, your brother’s really loaded. A villa this big has to be worth a couple hundred million, yeah? And tens of millions worth of product just tossed in a room like that—now that feels like real money. Looks like these years, the profits from selling ice haven’t been small. I just don’t know, Brother Botao, whether this drags Aying and Axin into it too. You think we should ask the Madam to look into it?"

Aying and Axin both lowered their heads and kept quiet. Neither their current boss Jiang Guangrong nor their former boss Zhong Botao were people they dared to offend.
