Little Reunion was very fond of the gift he received, touching it while smiling at Grandma Shangguan.

"Let me hold him!" Grandma Shangguan, seeing how cute and soft Little Reunion was, felt a burst of childlike joy and reached out to pick him up.

Little Reunion laughed gleefully, making Grandma Shangguan even happier, and she leaned down to kiss his cheek.

After the kiss, she asked what he liked and planned to give him some more things.

Jiang Xue was busy in the kitchen alone, and after about an hour, she had almost finished cooking and called someone in to help serve the dishes.

Wenbin happened to be free and volunteered to go into the kitchen. When he saw the dishes that Jiang Xue had prepared and smelled their aroma, he couldn’t help but have his appetite stirred.

He had eaten Jiang Xue’s cooking before, and it was quite delicious. Today, seeing the table filled with dishes, he couldn’t help but drool.

"What are you daydreaming about? Hurry up and take them out," Jiang Xue said, unable to resist, seeing Wenbin looking so tempted.

Only then did Wenbin snap back to reality and proceed to take the dishes out.

Once Wenbin had arranged the dishes and tableware, Jiang Xue’s last dish of soup was ready. She carried the soup out and invited everyone to start eating.

Little Reunion, upon hearing it was time to eat, was also quite excited. Recently, Jiang Xue had prepared a special chair for him, and he especially liked it.

Mrs. Jiang carried Little Reunion over, settled him into his chair, and placed the prepared rice porridge in front of him, allowing him to eat on his own.

Grandma Shangguan watched, somewhat surprised, and said to Jiang Xue, "How can you let such a young child eat by himself? What if he chokes? You’re really quite carefree."

"Grandma, it’s fine. The child can handle it on his own. He won’t choke, don’t worry," Jiang Xue replied with a smile. However, Grandma Shangguan was not reassured and kept watching Little Reunion closely during the meal, just in case he choked.

Fortunately, after consuming most of the bowl of rice porridge, Little Reunion was fine, allowing her to finally relax and focus on her own meal.

That’s when she realized the table was filled with her favorite dishes; spicy Sichuan cuisine was her favorite. Her family rarely prepared it for her, and she always had to go to a restaurant to satisfy her cravings.

Unexpectedly, she could enjoy such authentic Sichuan cuisine at Jiang Xue’s home, which surprised her and made her like Jiang Xue even more.

The meal was very satisfying and joyous for Grandma Shangguan, and the atmosphere at the table was harmonious and cheerful. After the meal, Mrs. Jiang and Jiang Xue tidied up the dishes and silverware together.

Bai Yuhua originally wanted to help, but since her foot hadn’t fully recovered, she was sent to rest instead.

After cleaning up, Jiang Xue returned to the living room to chat with Grandma Shangguan and asked her where she was staying and if she needed a ride back to her hotel.

Unexpectedly, Grandma Shangguan directly said, "Xue’er, I didn’t book a hotel. If your home can accommodate me, I’ll just stay here. Honestly, no matter how good a hotel is, it’s never as comfortable as home."

Jiang Xue naturally wouldn’t refuse Grandma Shangguan’s request. Since her home was spacious enough and the elderly didn’t mind, it was obviously more convenient for her to stay at home.

Thus, Grandma Shangguan stayed at Jiang Xue’s house. Seeing this, Wenbin, not wanting to return to school, also decided to stay.

Even though Jiang Xue’s home wasn’t far from his school, he didn’t want to go back.

With both of them wanting to stay, Jiang Xue said nothing more and headed to tidy up the rooms.
