Chapter 1002: The Principal Wants to See You

So it’s true: My heart follows the bright moon, but the moon shines on the ditch.

Qian Wei sighed, then turned and silently left. It seemed it was truly time for him to settle down. Liu Yiming treated Liu Meimei like that, yet he was still running after her. And him? He had done so much for her, even went out of his way to catch a snake to prank Jiang Xue for her sake.

But she didn’t appreciate it at all, even scolded him that day for being useless.

Qian Wei quickly returned to the classroom and saw Jiang Xue sitting and reading. He hesitated for a moment, then walked up to Jiang Xue and said, "Jiang Xue, I’m sorry, I was wrong."

Jiang Xue was somewhat surprised to see Qian Wei come to apologize out of the blue. Previously, he never thought he was wrong. What got into him today?

Seeing Jiang Xue’s puzzled expression, Qian Wei felt a bit embarrassed and left immediately after speaking, leaving Jiang Xue speechless as she shook her head.

After reading for a while, someone came to notify that the teacher for the next class was absent. So, Jiang Xue also didn’t stay at school and was preparing to leave with her books.

Just as she stepped out of the classroom, a student found her and asked, "Are you Jiang Xue? The principal is looking for you, wants you to come over."

"The principal?" Jiang Xue was puzzled, wondering what on earth the principal wanted with her. Thinking about it, Jiang Xue looked at the person who came for her and asked, "Are you sure it’s the principal who’s looking for me?"

Jiang Xue’s suspicion was understandable; Luo Weiwei had been too quiet lately, so quiet that it made Jiang Xue feel uneasy. She suspected the person in front of her was sent by Luo Weiwei.

"Do you think I’d lie to you?" The person laughed and said, "If you don’t believe me, I’ll go with you."

Jiang Xue nodded, holding her books and following that classmate to the principal’s office. She had been to the principal’s office once before, so she roughly knew its location.

As soon as they arrived, before Jiang Xue could speak, that classmate had already knocked on the door and said, "Principal Huang, Jiang Xue is here."

"Come in!" A voice came from inside. The classmate opened the door and then said to Jiang Xue, "Go on in, Principal Huang is waiting for you."

Jiang Xue nodded and walked in. As soon as she did, she saw that it wasn’t just Principal Huang in the office; there was also an elder.

Initially, Jiang Xue didn’t pay much attention until the elder spoke, "Jiang Xue, you’re here!"

Only then did Jiang Xue pause, look up at the elder, and upon a closer look, realized it was a familiar face. The elder who spoke was none other than the one Jiang Xue had saved that morning.

"Elder, it’s you!" Jiang Xue smiled and nodded to the elder.

At this moment, Principal Huang, who was working, looked up and glanced at Jiang Xue, "Jiang Xue, don’t just stand there, have a seat."

Jiang Xue shook her head, feeling a bit embarrassed, "No need, may I ask why the principal is looking for me?"

"What, are you afraid of me?" Principal Huang chuckled at Jiang Xue’s cautious look and said, "Don’t worry, I don’t bite, have a seat and let’s talk."

With that, Principal Huang sat down on a sofa nearby, and the elder had long since been seated on the sofa. Seeing Jiang Xue’s hesitation, he also laughed and said, "Don’t worry, I’m the one who wanted to see you."

Hearing this, Jiang Xue finally sat down opposite the elder.

As soon as she sat down, Principal Huang spoke, "Dad, it seems your words are more effective. Here I am as Feng Chang, and yet my words have no effect."
