Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate

Chapter 418: Don’t Be Unruly

Chapter 418: Don’t Be Unruly

Success!Sophie Wilson secretly made a "V" sign in excitement, then her pitiable gaze again fell on the cookie that Charles Seymour had taken away.

Charles Seymour put down the tongs, placed a large hand on her head, and said in a low voice, "Don’t push your luck."

Then, he carried a plate in one hand and fresh juice in the other, showing with his actions that afternoon tea could only consist of these items.

Sophie Wilson "furiously" jumped up, hopped onto Charles Seymour’s back, and used both her hands and feet to cling to him, also indicating with her actions that she was upset and refused to walk, demanding a piggyback ride.

Charles Seymour’s lips turned upwards, his eyes filled with an overflow of affectionate tenderness.

Carrying Sophie Wilson on his back was of course nothing to him, but he still advised her with concern, "Hold on tight."

Just don’t let her fall.

"Okay." Sophie Wilson nodded, then mischievously pinched Charles Seymour’s soft earlobe.

An unexpected jolt of electricity shot up, directly hitting Charles Seymour’s core, causing him to briefly falter, but fortunately, he reacted quickly and didn’t drop anything he was holding.

Charles Seymour sighed helplessly and scolded in a low voice, "Stop fooling around."

Unfortunately, his warning was of no use to Sophie Wilson, as she was already addicted to pinching.

It was soft, and the more she pinched, the more addictive it became, especially when his earlobe flushed crimson after a few pinches, making Sophie Wilson giggle.

As for the little mischief-maker on his back, Charles Seymour could do nothing but carry her to the small sitting room upstairs before putting her down.

Sophie Wilson curled up her legs and nestled into the sofa, eating and casually asking, "Why are you back so early today?"

"Went to pick up Uncle and Aunt," Charles Seymour started, explaining without waiting for Sophie Wilson to ask, "Today Uncle and Aunt broke off with the Wilson Clan. It seems they’ve severed ties with them. I’ve arranged for them to stay in the villa next to ours, so we’ll be able to see them often from now on."

With a bite of cake in her mouth, Sophie Wilson listened to all this without feeling a bit of distress.

She didn’t have any fondness for the Wilson Clan anyway, so what was their situation to her?

"My dad is quite awesome." Sophie Wilson marveled.

For someone willing to break away from such a wealthy family for her, calling him "Dad" came easily and willingly from her.

She had lived two lifetimes and didn’t care much about many things, as long as she could be with Charles Seymour.

The rest, she took lightly.

However, if someone was truly sincere to her, she would surely reciprocate with genuine affection.

So, with her parents standing by her, she naturally accepted her caring dad and mom.

"But I feel like my uncle is even cooler." Sophie Wilson took a sip of juice and said, "To so decisively divorce Chaya Davis and not even want his own daughter, that’s something most people couldn’t do."

"Hmm," Charles Seymour nodded.

"In the future, if my uncle is on his own, let’s gather more often when we have time." Sophie Wilson sighed, digging a spoonful of cake into her mouth.

Charles Seymour grunted, thinking to himself, so besides Sophie’s parents, there’s also an uncle competing with him for her attention?

While internally frustrated, he wasn’t foolish enough to show it; Sophie needed her own social life too.

He endured it.

"I’ll have Uncle come help out at my company," Charles Seymour thought it best to inform Sophie Wilson about this.

"Oh," Sophie Wilson nodded, not caring at all, much less inquiring about what Charles Seymour was doing, "If my dad isn’t competent enough, just be straightforward about it, no need to worry about me."
