Chapter 412 You Decide
Chapter 412 You Decide
Jerry Taylor understood that if it weren’t for Charles Seymour, Mason Wilson and Clarissa wouldn’t have discovered Sophie’s identity mystery.Subsequent events wouldn’t have progressed so "smoothly" either.
Being named by Jerry Taylor, Charles Seymour nodded slightly, "I just noticed something unusual and investigated a bit."
"What if today my sister and brother-in-law didn’t break away from the Wilson Clan?" Jerry Taylor asked.
Charles Seymour’s dark eyes showed no trace of a smile as he spoke lightly, "Sophie has me."
Mason Wilson and Clarissa’s expressions changed.
Charles Seymour’s meaning was crystal clear: Sophie has him, and whether or not she has parents is irrelevant.
"What my Sophie needs is family who genuinely love her. If those relatives only bring her harm, making her unhappy... I think it’s better off without them." Charles Seymour’s slow words carried an undisguised cold hostility, even though the three people present were Sophie’s parents and uncle, he showed no courtesy.
What could be more important than Sophie’s happiness?
"Clarissa, Mason, your daughter has found herself a good boyfriend," Jerry Taylor said with a slight smile and a gentle sigh.
"It’s fiancé," Charles Seymour corrected Jerry Taylor’s mistake.
Other matters he could ignore, but when it came to issues of status, he had to be precise.
Clarissa’s eyes widened in shock, "You and Sophie..."
She had intended to resolve the affair with the Wilson Clan before contacting Sophie, but who would have thought that in such a short time, Sophie would have a fiancé.
"I proposed to Sophie, and she accepted." When mentioning this, a gentle smile that didn’t match his usual demeanor crossed Charles Seymour’s eyes.
Clarissa watched Charles Seymour with a complicated expression; her daughter having a fiancé made her feelings mixed.
However, thinking about Charles Seymour’s attitude towards Sophie, Clarissa felt at ease.
She had been absent from Sophie’s life for over twenty years, so knowing Sophie found someone to care for her well, as a mother, her relief naturally outweighed her regret.
Charles Seymour looked at Mason Wilson and Clarissa and asked, "What are your plans for the future?"
"We have been busy with company matters all these years, so now, it’s perfect to take this opportunity to rest a bit," Mason Wilson said with a smile.
Breaking away from the Wilson Clan didn’t mean he was at a dead end; he still had money in hand.
So, their life moving forward wouldn’t be an issue.
"Oh, by the way," Mason Wilson placed a recording pen on the table and pushed it in front of Charles Seymour, "This is the recording from earlier. I can also tell you about the doctor I discovered, the addresses and all."
"If you want, you can report it to the police," Mason Wilson said. "However, now the Wilson Clan is partnering with the Seymour Family to work together with Peace Group. It’s said that Peace Group leans towards the Seymour Family; whether you decide to report or not is up to you."
Mason Wilson had shouted several times at the Wilson Clan about reporting to the police but hadn’t actually done so, mainly considering Sophie and Charles Seymour.
If they reported to the police, Emerie Wilson could be caught, but what if the Wilson Clan and Seymour Family united to suppress Charles Seymour?
Charles Seymour may be part of the Seymour Family, as is James Reed, although James isn’t recognized by Old Mr. Seymour, a group wouldn’t let a personal preference decide their actions; it depends on who holds power.
The Seymour Family isn’t entirely under Old Mr. Seymour’s control anymore.
