Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate

Chapter 403: Can’t Hold Back

Chapter 403: Can’t Hold Back

Old Mrs. Wilson heard the door open and smiled at Chaya Davis, saying, "Look, speak of the devil, and she shall appear."Emerie Wilson burst in, storming straight towards Ophelia Wilson: "Ophelia, have you given any more thought to what I said last time?"

"Aunt..." Ophelia Wilson looked at her, troubled, with a pitiful expression in stark contrast to Emerie Wilson’s furious demeanor, like a poor little thing bullied by an old witch.

"Don’t call me aunt; if you can’t get this done, I’ll let you know I’m not your aunt." Emerie Wilson’s words made Old Mrs. Wilson frown and she scolded, "Emerie, what are you doing?"

She was her treasured daughter after all, so after the scolding, Old Mrs. Wilson softened her tone, "Why can’t you discuss things with Ophelia properly? Would Ophelia not wholeheartedly handle your affairs?"

This blatant favoritism was just forcing Ophelia Wilson to meet Emerie Wilson’s demands.

Hearing her mother speak this way, Emerie Wilson felt a bit more at ease.

Ophelia Wilson gave a helpless bitter smile: "Grandma, Aunt wants me to ask James to let Uncle also take part in the cooperation with Peace Corporation. But the problem is, how could James have the final say in this cooperation? Isn’t the decision still up to Peace Corporation?"

"What’s the problem?" Emerie Wilson snorted arrogantly, "Who you cooperate with is still cooperation, isn’t it? Shouldn’t you look out for your own relatives first rather than benefitting outsiders?"

"Indeed." Old Mrs. Wilson turned to Ophelia Wilson and said, "Ophelia, if it’s your uncle’s company handling this, he would definitely be attentive and do it well. Would your uncle be careless with your affairs?"

"Ophelia, did you hear that? We are family." Emerie Wilson raised her eyebrows and said smugly.

"Emerie, stop making things difficult for Ophelia about this matter. The decision about who to cooperate with isn’t Ophelia’s to make either." Benjamin Walton timely stepped in, showing some grace.

"Besides, even if my company doesn’t participate in the Peace Corporation project, it can still make money and supporting our family won’t be a problem."

Benjamin Walton deliberately mentioned the word money, and sure enough, Emerie Wilson erupted instantly: "I’m telling you, Ophelia, your uncle has spent a lot of money for your sake. You’re not even giving him this cooperation opportunity now? How can you be so heartless?"

"Emerie, stop it!" Benjamin Walton seemed to want to stop Emerie Wilson, but because of being "considerate" of her health, he didn’t forcefully intervene, so he couldn’t stop her.

"Why shouldn’t I speak?" Emerie Wilson was really anxious now.

Thinking of the money Benjamin gave Stephen Wilson, thinking of Sophie Wilson’s relentless pressing her time and again.

She was asked to apologize privately, but that wasn’t enough; she was also asked to publicly apologize.

If she really had to publicly apologize, how would she be able to face anyone?

No, absolutely not!

Both matters were simmering in Emerie Wilson’s mind, and upon seeing Ophelia Wilson’s attitude, she simply couldn’t hold back anymore.

"Ophelia Wilson, when you act like this, there’s nothing left for me to say." Emerie Wilson spoke heedlessly, "Mom, Dad, do you know? Ophelia Wilson isn’t even Big Brother’s child! She isn’t part of the Wilson Clan!"

Mason Wilson and Clarissa Taylor were both stunned, unable to comprehend that Emerie Wilson would be the first to reveal this matter.
