Chapter 320: My Views On Death 2

Chapter 320: My Views On Death 2

Death isn’t the end. It’s nothing more than just a call to a brand new age. The past can rot for hell. So why bother looking back. Morris, wake the fuck up, everyone is calling out to you, dumbass. Even with the main character present and alive, why did it suddenly get so chaotic when you’re not around.

"What in the world is this? You should’ve been incapable of matching me. Why is it that you keep hitting harder?" Azrael’s bombardment of punches were easily stopped with Jin’s newly enhance shield.

"Death is something like a sort of teacher. When one dies. The rest of the living adapts. They mourn, yes, but they learn..." The Knight of Death’s hardened shield evolved to an energy projected barrier of purely concentrated demonic energy.

"That’s how we evolve. Death is inevitable. But it teaches a lesson in it’s wake. That’s how we grow. Can’t you realize that?" As the force field vanishes, the stockpiled weight of Azrael’s attacks was harnessed at Jin’s fist as he prepares for another strike.

"Useless spouting. Although you aren’t affected by my Virtue. Ive been so virtuous long enough. It’s time for my revenge,"

As the Virtue of Patience was run down to the edge with his foe gaining a burst of power, he unleashed his dormant power. Through abiding by the rules of his own Virtue, being patient, and chaining himself from it’s grand pursuit he received power. A hidden side of his Virtue in which he could use his authority to it’s fullest without ever being shackled nor punished.

"I didn’t think I’d get a chance to use this. But you left me with no other choice. Right here and now, I’ll kill you!!!" No longer bound by the very rules of his Virtue, Azrael’s true self emerge, not as the calm and collected but the brash and furious.

The seven heavenly virtues and their counterpart the seven deadly sins hold a sought after power, yet it yields a curse. Both sin and virtue are branded to follow the will of their title, it is both a gift and a curse, but abiding by their authorities for so long can allow them to bypass and even strengthen their powers. Azrael, the Angel of Patience had shed the shackles of his Virtue and all that remains was a surplus amount of fury.

[Below you!!!]

Hephaestus warned Jin of the danger, but unlike before he was incapable of activating his barrier like shield. Azrael hit a perfectly critical strike that could’ve punctured the Knight of Death’s heart then and there but his opponent manage to raise his guard. As soon as the armor broke down, the laws of death constructed a much denser and weightless armor in it’s stead.

’I could’ve died back there. So this what Rachel said about these angels going ballistic. It’s a good thing Azrael was the only one who could’ve pulled it off. Good thing I took her advice to heart, I don’t know what Id say to Morris if I let his adopted kid fight a literal end game boss. This is a pain, but you know what? It’s kinda makes the fight a lot more fun, I thought this would be a one side battle, bring on chicken wing!’

"That awful grin of yours irritates me so. Your excitement displeases me. As if you ought to think the victor is already decided," As the demonic energy seeps into their environment, rotting away every sign of life, their piercing gaze fills the silence, with a dread like no other.

"Aren’t you excited? Whether I could adapt to your every action, or you could kill me before that ever happens. Now this is fun!" As much as Jin Kurenai was the voice of reason amongst their merry band of fuck ups, he bore the most violent tendency.

"You should’ve killed me right then and there. Now the odds of you chicken’s winning is impossible. Let’s kill each other!"

The Knight of Death went and rush forward after being on the defensive for so long, as he deflect any attack that came for his life. Azrael followed suit, and activated his authority, slowing Kurenai down in his tracks, even though it should’ve been impossible. The authority of Death made it so that anything that impedes death will be nullified, but the thing the angel targeted was the space that contains the Knight. Because of that he bypassed the Kurenai’s immunity and with his burst of power he sneaks up in his rear and aims for his heart.

"You act so high and mighty, but you also do some cheap shots like that? Too bad I read you like a book. That’s a dummy, you fool," Azrael’s attack surely hit it’s mark but the demonic presence still lingered even aft her pierced through Kurenai’s armour.

"How is this possible-" In his moment of confusion, Jin landed a clean hit to the Angel’s chin, stunning the feathered freak to chain another hit.

"I’m the mini boss for crying out loud. I’ve hidden my heart in this place. Good luck killing me when you cant find my heart," As his body’s armor grew harder, he kicked the angel in his abdomen, the weightless armor grew increasingly and it’s hardened exterior adds an extra impact to his kick.

Azrael easily escapes what could’ve been a flurry of attacks with just a wave of his hand, slowing down the Knight entirely. However the Knight of Death has completely adapted from being slowed down by Azrael’s authority, even when slowed his attack becomes a little faster. The Angel hardly gave an ounce of worry as he pressed his focus in matching the attack to stop it’s impact altogether.

"You still have a lot of spunk I’d say. Are you surprised? That my attack is a lot faster even when I’m being slowed down?" Their fist collided with each other, opposite energies that grew more violently in each other’s presence explode, yet the two weren’t knocked back

’This demon, he’s progressively matching my every move. The longer this fight drags out will be the death of me. I need to find his heart. As much as conniving these bastards are, their designed that they couldn’t tell a single lie, as it’s encoded in their very being. But where is it? Where’s the demonic energy being centered around this place? He’s pushing me back intensely? It seems like his heart is near that area near his rear, that’s why he keeps on pressuring me!’

"Maximum authority release," As soon as Azrael the Angel of Patience invoke those words, Jin felt like his very being was strip of his right to act.

"I’ll make sure that your core is properly destroyed. With my most powerful attack. I’ll eviscerate the entire land behind you,"

Azrael floats above the sky and harnessed every bit of his heavenly aura to a singular point, creating a sphere like bomb which he through in the land where Jin kept pushing him away from.

"Hahahahah you did it now you idiot. I wasn’t lying when I said I hid my heart. I never once said it was there. I just moved it around my body," As soon as Azrael thought he he had claim to be the victor of their fight, the Knight of Death boldly reveals the heart placed in his abdomen.

"You... you fiend! You’ve planned this all along. To make me use my power. All so you can easily kill me-" As soon as his Heavenly aura dropped to a dangerous limit, he felt his senses dulled, giving the chance for Jin to attack.

"You really took my bait. You’re dumb but I didn’t think you’d be stupid enough to commit. I was thinking you’d only use half of your power reserves, but you used it all," In a blink of an eye the Knight of Death appeared before the Angel hovering in the air, and he went straight to his jaw with a clean jab of his right hand.

"As much as I want to bombard you with bombs, range casting isn’t my thing. I’d rather just get close and personal,"

His right leg propelled by a rocket beneath his foot added a powerful force to his knee, leaving the angel no time to defend. The Knight of Death’s body began to create a weapon that he had better control and proficiency with an enormous Hammer. Demonic energy within their surrounding gathered in the mechanisms of the weapon, black streaks of lightning spews, and strikes with full force. The impact sent the Angel crashing down to the ground, the force of the hammer was too much and the wielder was dragged alongside with it to the surface.

"Damn that really broke my body right up. I was pretty careless. I didn’t think the power of that overcharge hammer would be too destructive-" As Jin began to reconstruct his injured body, the giant Hammer burst from an extreme pressure of abundant heavenly aura.

[You got to be kidding]

’You got to be kidding,’

Both Avatar and Deity flabbergasted as soon as the Angel rose from what seems to be a defining strike, leaving him critically injured, unscathed. The presence he brought was unlike he ever felt before, something powerful, restricting, as if even his power alone wasn’t enough. It no longer felt like Azrael, the Angel of Patience but something far above it’s ranking, but before it could fully do anything, Lucifer beheads the possessed Archangel.

"That blasted thing is too much of a sore loser. It can’t even accept it’s lost. Are you alright Knight of Death?" A sigh of relief could be heard even with the distance of these two ranging from miles away from one another, as the Knight fell flat on the ground.

’Okay, now the hardest part is done. Rachel mentioned that once three Archangel’s die, our power will then be transferred to Quon. Even if she’s had a bad matchup so far it’ll just be a literal over kill on her side. After that’s all set and done, we’ll just have to wait for Morris to wake up and end all of this. I swear this level of physical activity isn’t something an Editor should be doing, once this is over I’m gonna ask that fucker for a raise, I deserve it no?’
