Chapter 29.2 : Unfortunate News Today

Well, there's no easy way to put this, but TSH, specifically Re: TSH will be going on an indefinite hiatus. The next 5 chapters that are locked behind Patreon are still coming, but after that, its the end for some time.

This decision has come after a lot of thought and weighing of my options, and I know many of you are likely unhappy, but this wasn't an unprompted matter.

To put it as simply as I can, I really struggle to write to the depth I'm known for in TDOD when writing two novels. When writing, I have to be in a certain headspace, thinking about what I'm doing, where I'm at, and how I want to move through a scene as each character, while also juggling old lore, and references. When writing two novels, I have to switch between those spaces in order to write to any acceptable depth. It takes at least a day, sometimes longer, and honestly, it kills my enjoyment of writing especially if I'm not enjoying one of the stories.

I have always lived by, I want to write what I want to read.. but sadly.. I think I lost that luster when I started routinely writing TSH. Now, I cant sit and enjoy either story because I don't have the uninterrupted downtime to brainstorm ideas that make me go 'Oh my gosh I cant wait to write tonight.'

Honestly, my enjoyment of writing has simply tanked. Instead of writing what I wanted to read, I started writing what I thought fit the story best, or what was needed.. and well.. it didn't work out for TSH. One mistake and the whole thing derailed because I didn't have the uninterrupted time to brainstorm a fix, or a better way forward.

And so, TSH will meet its end for a bit. That above isn't the only reason, as the pressure of the comic adaptation of my other novel, and need to get to its rewrites (no story changes, just quality stuff unlike TSH), has put me in a pickle that made me weigh how much people were really enjoying TSH, and from engagement and feedback across platforms, I've deemed it not worth the current investment I'm giving it.

I truly, sincerely apologize to those who have been enjoying this story, and especially those on Patreon that have shown their support monetarily, but unfortunately, the time has come. This doesn't mean the story won't ever be returned to, perhaps once I'm done with TDOD I can give TSH the focus and love it deserves, but I can't be certain when it will be.

Starting tomorrow, the Patreon exclusive chapters will get posted, and after that this novel will unfortunately go radio silent. I will still be writing and honing my craft, but dedicating it to one place.

To some this may be a farewell, and to you, I raise my hat. It has truly been a pleasure.
