Chapter 328: Chapter 328: I Protest
Lily Turner only gave half the reason; she didn’t have the nerve to say the other half—the reason that mattered most to her heart.
But faced with this situation, she didn’t know how to start, didn’t know where to begin.
"Let’s eat first, we can discuss this later." Easton Holmes glanced deeply at Lily Turner, then lowered his head to eat, interacting with her no more.
Easton Holmes’ reaction was completely unexpected for Lily Turner. She thought he would argue with her in anger, but to her surprise, he said nothing and remained so calm.
Not normal! Absolutely not normal! He’s definitely not normal!
Watching Easton eating silently with his head down, Lily was in turmoil inside, and she let out a barely audible sigh as she picked up her spoon to start eating too.
Easton kept a persistent silence, and though Lily wanted to speak, she didn’t have the courage. The awkward atmosphere left her with no appetite; after just a couple of bites, she put her spoon down.
"I’m full, take your time eating."
She got up and left the dining room, and after stepping out, she didn’t know where to go.
After looking around, she chose to go to the living room, planning to watch TV while waiting for him to finish his meal.
Since her mind was still on what had just happened, Lily had no interest in watching TV. She casually changed the channel and placed the remote on the coffee table, leaning back on the sofa, drifting into a daze.
"Do you ever consider how the TV feels when you look like that?" Easton’s voice suddenly came, snapping Lily back to reality. She realized he was already sitting beside her under her stunned gaze.
"You’re done eating, so I’ll go wash the dishes."
Lily spoke as she tried to get up and clean the dishes, but just as she moved, Easton pulled her back. She gave him a disapproving look, "I’ll wash the dishes, why are you holding me back?"
After saying this, she struggled to withdraw her hand from his grasp, but after several attempts, she still couldn’t succeed.
"I’ve already washed the dishes."
Easton gently pulled her towards him, and Lily obediently fell into his embrace, "Don’t move, I just want to hold you."
As she was about to react, he preemptively whispered in her ear.
Hearing this, Lily instinctively lowered the hand she was about to use to push Easton away, paused for a moment, then tilted her head to lean on his chest like a well-behaved kitten.
"About what I told you earlier..."
"Neither of us should force anything, let’s just let things happen naturally."
As soon as Lily started to speak, Easton knew what she was going to say. Before she could finish, he interrupted her, "Don’t take anything strange behind my back, or you’ll never get out of my bed for the rest of your life."
At these words, Lily straightened up, incredulously looking at Easton, "Easton Holmes! That’s not fair, I protest!"
What does he mean by not forcing anything? What does he mean by letting things be? And never getting out of his bed for life!
He was clearly coercing her, forcing her to have children now.
"Protest denied!"
Easton bluntly dismissed Lily’s protest without leaving any room for negotiation.
Lily had always known Easton could be domineering, but at this moment, she was still surprised and angry.
"Easton Holmes! What do you take me for?"
She tried to suppress the fire in her heart, turning her head to look at him.
