Hearing the doorbell ring, Lily Turner immediately thought that Easton Holmes had returned, and after hurriedly greeting Bella Carter, she quickly got up to open the door.
"Who are you looking for?"
After opening the door, Lily Turner saw not Easton Holmes, but a tall man. Because the man was wearing sunglasses, she couldn’t clearly see what he looked like.
She opened the door with great joy, but seeing it wasn’t him, she felt inexplicably disappointed.
"You must be the sister-in-law."
Though it was a question, the tone was affirmative. The man glanced at the open-door Lily Turner and walked past her into the house.
Sister-in-law?!
This man called her sister-in-law, could it be that his brother has come looking for her?
Does he have a brother? She really had no idea, even though they were married, she wasn’t familiar with his situation at all.
Lily Turner furrowed her brows in confusion, closed the door, and followed the man into the house. She tentatively asked, "Are you looking for your brother?"
She took two large steps to catch up with the uninvited man.
"I’m not looking for my brother, I’m here for you."
The man didn’t even turn his head, striding into the living room. Seeing Bella Carter sitting on the sofa, he paused for a moment but didn’t stop. "Do you have a guest?"
He asked as he walked over and sat on the sofa.
"Hello!"
Bella Carter only knew that Easton Holmes had a half-brother, but she had never seen him, nor did she know what he looked like.
But with such a handsome brother, the younger brother couldn’t look too bad.
The man politely responded, "Hello!"
"You all chat, I have something else to do and will leave first."
After speaking, Bella Carter stood up. She had just heard the man’s conversation with Lily Turner, thinking there must be something the younger brother wanted to discuss with his sister-in-law, and it wasn’t appropriate for her to stay.
Lily Turner had no idea whether this man was really Easton Holmes’ brother, but she could somewhat guess Bella Carter’s thoughts. So she didn’t ask her to stay, but instead generously saw her out.
"Sister-in-law! Come find me for a chat when you’re free."
Lily Turner escorted Bella Carter to the door, and Bella waved her hand, signaling her to go back. "Of course, go on in, I’m heading out."
"Goodbye!"

After waving goodbye, they each turned and went in different directions, one closing the door and going inside, the other heading out towards the yard.
At the gate, Bella Carter ran into Easton Holmes returning from his grandpa’s house. Seeing him, she blurted out, "Did you hear your brother came and ran back here?"
She didn’t know he just went to his grandpa’s house. Seeing him return, she thought he had rushed back from the Military Department after getting the news.
"My brother’s here?"
Easton Holmes’ distinguished brows furrowed at Bella Carter’s words, and he looked towards the house as he asked.
His brother had come!
Although they were half-brothers, due to the grudges between the adults, they didn’t have much contact over the years.
Bella Carter nodded: "He just arrived, it seems your brother is looking to discuss something with you both. Go in quickly."
With that, she left the Holmes Residence and headed home.
Hearing this, Easton Holmes furrowed his brows even tighter, not bothering with anything else, he strode into the yard and swiftly headed inside the house.
