Chapter 329 She Was Made to Cry by Him

"Of course I consider you my wife."

Easton Holmes looked at Lily Turner and said without hesitation, "As my wife, you have the responsibility and obligation to have children with me."

He thoughtfully added an extra line, saving her from having to ask further.

Easton said that Lily had the obligation to have children with him, not for him. He deliberately phrased it that way; the children would be theirs, not just his.

Lily noticed this point too, and the fire in her heart slightly subsided. But thinking of his domineering words and actions earlier, she retorted defiantly, "I think you haven’t treated me as a wife at all. You completely see me as a tool for having children."

Is getting a wife all about having kids?

Lily suddenly felt so wronged and wanted to cry; her nose tingled, and tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Why are you crying? Please don’t cry."

This was the second time Lily cried in front of Easton. The first time, he didn’t know why she was crying, but this time, he knew clearly that it was because of him.

Seeing her crying like pear blossoms in the rain, he felt a bit at a loss and tried to wipe her tears with his hand, but she turned her head away, "Leave me alone."

Easton’s persuasion didn’t stop Lily’s tears; instead, they flowed even more fiercely. He turned her face towards him with one hand and wiped her tears with the other.

"I don’t see you as a tool for having children. I just want to have children with you." He explained while wiping her tears.

"I never said I wouldn’t have kids with you. I just said we could wait a few years, but you threatened me like that." Lily pulled away the hand that was wiping her tears, glaring at him, "Saying I’d never get out of bed for the rest of my life, how could you be so heartless to me?"

As she spoke, she wiped her own tears away.

Seeing her crying her heart out made Easton feel especially uncomfortable, but hearing what she just said, he couldn’t help but chuckle. He was truly caught between laughter and tears.

"Silly girl! Stop crying, okay? If you cry more, you’ll turn into a little tabby cat." His tone and expression were as gentle as could be, so gentle they could melt.

"If I turn into a little tabby cat, so be it. I don’t care." Lily pouted defiantly, like a child in a huff.

"Alright, alright! If you don’t mind, then I’ll turn into a big tabby cat."

"Pfft!"

Hearing what Easton said, Lily suddenly burst into laughter, and seeing her amused by his words, he let out a long sigh of relief.

"Okay! Let’s not cry anymore, alright?"

Taking advantage of the lightened atmosphere, Easton once again tried to console Lily. This time, he directly pulled her up, "Let me quickly take you to wash your face, or you’ll really turn into a little tabby cat."

With that, he pulled her out of the living room, heading straight to the bathroom on the first floor.

"I’ll go in by myself. You wait outside."

When they reached the bathroom door, Lily suddenly stopped Easton, who was walking ahead, and at the same time went around him to the front.

"Alright!"

Easton cooperatively let go of Lily’s hand. As soon as his hand let go, she quickly entered the bathroom.

Once inside, she immediately locked the door from the inside, shutting him out of the bathroom.
