Chapter 319: Sounds like you’re full now.

Chapter 319: Sounds like you’re full now.

Lily Turner went upstairs to find her phone and discovered that Easton Holmes had called her several times and sent her a threatening message.

"Call me back within one minute or bear the consequences!"

Within a minute?!

Lily looked at the time the message was sent. It had been more than half an hour since she received it, and she rubbed her forehead in frustration.

That guy! Does he have to be so overbearing?

Lily glared angrily at the phone, her long fingers flying over the screen, quickly composing a message. Soon, she had a message ready.

"Do you believe I’m running away from home?"

After editing it, she immediately sent the message to Easton Holmes.

"I dare you!"

Once the message was sent, she quickly received a reply.

Looking at the strong and domineering words, Lily was so angry she gasped, then composed another message to retort.

"You’ll see if I dare?"

After sending the message, she walked out of the room with her phone, but stopped abruptly at the door.

Running away from home!

Where could she possibly go?

Her sister’s place would only take him less than an hour to find her, her private apartment was out of the question, and she had been already disowned by her parents.

She didn’t dare go to a hotel; that would just be giving reporters an opportunity to fabricate stories.

After thinking it over, Lily realized she truly had nowhere to go. Easton knew this and used it to his advantage to be so domineering.

Ah!

Lily shouted angrily at the ceiling, picked up the phone, and noticed that it had been flashing the whole time.

Instead of texting her back like before, Easton Holmes had called her.

She stared at the phone for a long time and only answered it just before it automatically hung up.

After connecting, Lily didn’t immediately put the phone to her ear, nor did she say anything. Instead, she slipped it into her pocket.

"Are you mad?"

Easton didn’t know what was happening on her end. Not hearing any sound, he assumed Lily was upset and not speaking to him, thinking nothing beyond that.

Instead of returning to her room, Lily went downstairs to the kitchen. The moment she saw the thermal container, she calmed down.

That man might be domineering, but he still treated her quite well.

Sigh! Forget it!

Lily sighed, reached into her pocket, and took out her phone. Seeing the call was still connected, she quickly put it to her ear.

"Hello!"

For a moment, she didn’t know what to say, so she softly said hello.

"You finally decided to talk to me."

Even though Lily’s voice was very soft, Easton still heard it. Hearing her respond, he breathed a sigh of relief.

At his words, Lily blurted out, "I was just eating and couldn’t be bothered with you."

She deliberately stressed the "couldn’t be bothered with you" part, rolling her eyes at the floor in dissatisfaction as she said it.

"Does that mean you’re full now?"

Easton wasn’t sure if Lily had really been eating, but he didn’t believe for a second that she ignored him because she was eating.

Whether Easton Holmes believed it or not was not within Lily’s concerns. She said it just to vent some of her dissatisfaction.

"Why did you call me? To see if I really dare to run away from home?" Her resentment towards him hadn’t dissipated.
