Lily Turner didn’t call Alice Turner back because she could clearly feel Alice’s determination. She knew that calling wouldn’t change Alice’s attitude.

Sigh!

With a deep sigh, she put away her phone and left the living room, heading upstairs to the terrace to get some fresh air.

Not only was Lily’s mind in a mess right now, but her heart was also restless and uneasy. She felt that if she didn’t cool down in the cold wind, she’d be driven crazy by this irritating mood.

Though it was winter, Flame City, situated along the coast, barely felt any chill. Besides, the sun was shining brightly, enveloping people in a warm glow.

Lily had the illusion that it was not a cold winter but a warm, flower-blooming spring.

"Lily!"

Hearing someone call her, Lily looked down in the direction of the voice and instantly saw Bella Carter with her big belly.

"Sister-in-law!"

Lily waved to greet her, a bright smile instantaneously appearing on her face.

Bella also raised her hand to wave at the person on the terrace while loudly asking, "Did you just get back from Amelia’s place?"

"Yeah!" Lily nodded, "Sister-in-law! Where are you headed?"

"I came out to throw away the trash and saw you on the terrace, so I called out to you," Bella said as she opened the garden gate and walked in. "I thought I was seeing things, but it really is you back."

She hadn’t seen her idol for days and really missed her.

Seeing Bella enter the yard, Lily didn’t continue staying on the terrace. She turned and headed downstairs, "Sister-in-law! Wait for me, I’ll be right down."

As she spoke, she had already left the terrace and was quickly heading downstairs.

By the time Lily came downstairs, Bella was already waiting at the door. She opened the door and hurriedly ushered her in, "Sister-in-law! Come in quickly."

She made space at the entrance to make it easier for the guest with the big belly to enter.

"You’re not going back to Amelia’s, are you?" Bella asked while glancing around. She didn’t see the chubby figure. "That woman left?"

Although Bella didn’t know exactly what had happened, she had some idea. She knew that the chubby Auntie Gui was deliberately arranged here by Amelia Linton.

Lily didn’t immediately comprehend which woman Bella was talking about and frowned in confusion, "Which woman left?"

Had a woman come to their house? She didn’t see any woman when she came in. Could another woman have visited before she returned home just now?

"The nanny that Easton’s mom brought here," Bella initially thought Lily was feigning ignorance, but later, seeing Lily’s knitted brows, she realized Lily genuinely didn’t know what she was talking about.

Upon hearing this, Lily was momentarily stunned. If she didn’t know this woman was the wife of Easton’s comrade, she would have thought she was here to gossip about their family affairs.

"She left." Lily responded simply, leading Bella into the living room, "Sister-in-law! Come inside and have a seat."

With such a big belly, just looking at her made Lily feel tired, let alone how the pregnant woman herself must feel.

"That Evelyn didn’t come to bother you, did she?"

As soon as they sat down in the living room, Bella began to gossip again.
