As soon as Lily Turner stepped out of the house, Callix Linton dialed Easton Holmes’s phone, but the phone rang for a long time without being answered. Even when the system automatically disconnected, there was no response.

Easton Holmes didn’t answer for such a long time. Callix Linton thought he must be busy with military duties, so he didn’t call again. Instead, he tilted his head and called to his guard, Lucas Zimmerman, "Lucas!"
