Chapter 262: How Much Have You Missed Me These Past Few Days
Lily Turner had just finished speaking when she noticed Easton Holmes’s face suddenly darken. She instantly realized that her words had upset him. But before she could react, he stood up and walked toward her.
"Grandfather! I’m taking my wife back to the room for a good conversation." Easton Holmes said to his grandfather, then reached out and pulled Lily Turner, who was sitting next to the grandfather, and strode out of the dining room.
Lily Turner struggled all the way, but the hand gripping hers did not loosen in the slightest. Even after entering the room on the second floor, she had not succeeded in shaking off the hand holding her.
"You...mmm..."
Easton Holmes suddenly lowered his head and accurately captured Lily Turner’s lips, swallowing all the words she hadn’t yet uttered.
This annoying man!
Wasn’t he avoiding her before? So why was he doing this now?
Lily Turner shoved a few times, but she couldn’t push away Easton Holmes, who was forcibly kissing her. In a panic, she lifted her foot and kicked toward his leg.
He sharply sensed her movement; the moment her leg stretched out, he lifted his own leg to control her leg.
Without hitting him, her leg was instead suppressed by him, making Lily Turner almost want to cry but unable to. She widened her eyes, not knowing what to do.
"Why are your eyes so wide? Aren’t you tired?" Easton Holmes raised his hand and reached for Lily Turner’s eyes, intending to help her close them, but his hand missed as she turned her head to dodge his reaching hand.
"None of your business!" Lily Turner raised her hand and slapped away the hand in front of her, tilting her neck defiantly, glaring at the man holding her, "Didn’t you say you didn’t want to see me again? Why don’t you let go of me then?"
As she spoke, she reached out with her other hand to pull the arm around her waist.
"Who said I didn’t want to see you? Who said it? Tell me, and I’ll go settle the score with him. Let’s see if he dares to ruin our marital relationship again." Easton Holmes countered, holding Lily Turner’s hand and directly pinning it behind her back, pulling her even closer.
Lily Turner blurted out, "You were the one who told me, you go settle it with yourself."
She stared at the man holding her, her face full of grievance, looking like a resentful wife, though she herself remained oblivious to it.
"I told you? When?"
At first, Easton Holmes didn’t understand why Lily Turner said this, but seeing her face full of anger, he immediately figured it out. An imperceptible smile appeared on his stern face.
Lily Turner was so focused on venting her frustration, she didn’t notice the smile on Easton Holmes’s face, "Why haven’t you come home these past two days? Don’t tell me you’ve been working for 48 hours straight."
She stared straight into his eyes, her expression very serious.
"Did you miss me these past two days?"
Easton Holmes didn’t directly answer Lily Turner’s question but tossed another question at her instead.
Hearing this, Lily Turner’s eyes quickly blinked, then she widened them again, "Who missed you?"
With that, she rolled her eyes at him.
"Of course, you missed me." Despite being rolled eyes at by the woman, Easton Holmes wasn’t upset at all. Instead, his smile became more pronounced in an instant, "Tell me, exactly how much did you miss me these last two days?"
He lowered his head closer to her, almost touching her.
"Narcissist!"
Lily Turner once again rolled her eyes at Easton Holmes, this time giving him a big roll of her eyes.
"I am narcissistic."
Suddenly, Easton Holmes leaned in toward Lily Turner, and before she could react, he kissed her deeply.
