Chapter 1068: I’ll Take Good Care of Her

Today, Easton Holmes was surprisingly cooperative with Lily Turner. When she said she wanted to stay at her parents’ place for the night, he agreed; when she said she wanted to hang up the phone, he did so without any objections.

After finishing the call with Easton Holmes, Lily Turner immediately dialed Thomas Fisher’s number. Once it started to ring, she placed the phone next to her ear, waiting for a response from the other side.

"Hello!"

After the phone rang twice, Thomas Fisher picked up, skipping the formal pleasantries.

Lily Turner was also less cordial than before, directly asking, "Did you get in touch with my sister?"

Right now, the thing she was most concerned about was her sister, and she worried mostly about her sister.

"I did. I’m on my way to find her now." Just after finishing the call with Lily, Thomas Fisher left his office immediately. As he rushed to the underground parking garage, he dialed Alice Turner’s number.

To his relief, her phone not only rang but she also answered. Initially, she seemed to want to avoid and reject him, but eventually, she succumbed to his persistence and persuasion, and she told him her current location.

Hearing Thomas Fisher say he had contacted Alice Turner, Lily Turner felt reassured. With him taking care of her sister, she finally felt at ease, "I’ll leave my sister to you then."

With her sister taken care of, she still had to check what was going on with the two people inside. If possible, she wished to convince her dad to fight for her sister’s happiness.

"Don’t worry, you can leave your sister to me. I will take good care of her." Thomas Fisher didn’t say much more. After assuring Lily, he hung up the call.

After the call ended, Lily Turner entered the house with her phone in hand. As soon as she stepped in, she heard arguing coming from the living room. She didn’t need to listen carefully to know it was Christopher Turner and Sophia Wood arguing again because of Alice Turner.

Lily Turner instinctively hurried her steps, rushing in to help mediate. It wouldn’t be good for the two to start fighting over this matter.

"Dad! Mom! Please stop arguing." Regardless of what exactly they were arguing about, Lily was quick to intervene as soon as she walked in, trying to stop them while approaching the two sitting on the sofa.

Seeing Lily come over, the two who were just arguing fiercely became silent, quietly watching her approach.

Witnessing this, Lily wanted to talk about Alice and Thomas being together, but remembering that her sister had just divorced Benjamin Shaw, she held her tongue, worried it might hurt her sister’s reputation.

"Where did your sister go?" Sophia Wood asked instinctively, thinking Lily used her phone to contact Alice when she had borrowed it earlier.

Lily shook her head, "Sis didn’t say."

She had forgotten to ask earlier. Regardless of where her big sister was, as long as Thomas Fisher was there, she had nothing to worry about.

"In the future, you two don’t need to bother with her anymore, just think of it as if our family doesn’t have a daughter like her," Christopher Turner still fumed over Alice Turner divorcing without his consent. He was upset and regretful, but he had no solution to make them reconcile.

Lily Turner walked over to sit next to Sophia Wood, paused for a moment, then tilted her head towards Christopher Turner, "Dad! My sister will bring back an even better son-in-law for you in the future."
