Chapter 1037: Unaware of Being Discovered

Thomas Fisher’s mind was calculating furiously, but Alice Turner had her own thoughts. After work, she wanted to do something that she didn’t want him to know about or be involved in.

"My hand is much better now. Driving is totally fine, I’ll just be careful." To prove her point, she waved her injured left hand in front of him.

"What do you mean it’s much better? Are you a doctor? Before the stitches come out, pay attention." Thomas Fisher had no hesitation in denying Alice Turner’s statement. "I’ll pick you up after work. That’s settled. Now hurry up and get to work, or you’ll be late."

Not only did he deny her claim, but he also urged her to get out of the car quickly. God knows how much he hoped she’d delay getting out.

"If you don’t mind my car embarrassing you, Mr. Fisher, go ahead and drive it," Alice Turner shot a glance at the man urging her to get out, opened the car door, and got out without saying goodbye, striding into the company without looking back.

This girl!

Watching her stride into the company, a smile unconsciously appeared at the corner of Thomas Fisher’s mouth. Only after her figure disappeared from sight did he redirect his gaze and drive away.

Thomas Fisher’s attention was entirely on Alice Turner, so he didn’t notice Benjamin Shaw’s car parked across the street. After he drove away, Benjamin Shaw immediately turned around and followed.

Since the car window was tightly closed, Benjamin Shaw couldn’t see who was inside, but he recognized Alice Turner’s car. To be able to drive her car and drop her off at work, he thought this person must have a special relationship with her.

She must have left home last night to find the person who lovingly dropped her off at work.

He had a hunch the person dropping her at work was a man, and he wanted to follow to see who this man was and what he looked like.

This man was very possibly the one who cuckolded him. He definitely wanted to see what kind of person dared to do that to him.

Worried about getting noticed by the person in the car ahead, Benjamin Shaw didn’t dare follow too closely and tried to keep a sufficient distance, his eyes glued to Alice Turner’s car, afraid of losing it by accident.

After nearly half an hour of following, the car in front turned into the underground parking lot of a building.

Just as Benjamin Shaw was about to follow in, he suddenly realized the building looked very familiar. Taking a closer look, his face instantly darkened.

He rubbed his eyes, but the building remained, convincing him this was no illusion.

That woman was really detestable. He’d told her to stay away from his good buddy, yet she deliberately went against him, insisting on clinging to his good friend.

It seemed he had overestimated her. He once thought she was as capable and sensible as his parents described her.

Is this what you call sensible?

In anger, Benjamin Shaw slapped the steering wheel hard, his whole demeanor now particularly sullen, and the atmosphere in the car instantly turned gloomy.

Honk! Honk! Honk!

Suddenly, a car horn sounded from behind. Benjamin Shaw instinctively turned to look back, realizing he was blocking the way.

He redirected his gaze, moved the car away from the entrance of the parking lot, glanced at the building beside, and drove off with a dark expression.
