Chapter 453 - 180: Solo in the Office, Personal Guidance from Mrs. Qi_5

"Hmph. Who knows how long it would take to force it out? I don’t want to wait."

A light snort escaped Qi Siyu. Her legs were numb from squatting in such an uncomfortable position. Just as she was about to stand up, a loud KNOCK KNOCK came from the door.

Qi Siyu trembled with fright. The blush on her cheeks instantly drained, leaving her pale as she anxiously urged Li Yuan, "Li Yuan, hurry up and get dressed! Someone’s here!"

The knock made Li Yuan jump in fright as well. He suddenly remembered that he hadn’t locked the office door when he came in. After all, this was an office, not his home. He was here on legitimate business, so there was no reason to lock it.

In a panic, Li Yuan quickly pulled on his clothes, stuffing the Great Sage Equalling Heaven back into his personal crystal pool.

Just then, the office door swung open. A smiling, medium-built young man in a suit walked in. He wore a light blue Chen Sha shirt, and his hair was combed so neatly it shined.

"Siyu, it’s almost time to get off work," he announced as he entered. "I found a new Japanese restaurant..."

His voice died mid-sentence. The young man in the suit had spotted Li Yuan sitting nonchalantly in the office.

Peng Cheng’s brows furrowed as he looked at Li Yuan. "And you are?"

Having been scared and interrupted at a crucial moment, Li Yuan was thoroughly annoyed with the suit-wearing man who had just appeared. He had no desire to deal with him, let alone speak to him.

Seeing Li Yuan’s sullen expression, Qi Siyu, whose cheeks were still flushed with lingering excitement, quickly changed the subject. "Director Peng, this is one of my students. Can I help you with something?"

Peng Cheng stared intently at Li Yuan and asked dubiously, "Siyu, this is your student?"

"Yes," Qi Siyu answered, her expression slightly bashful. This freshman had just given her quite the lesson.

Hearing this, Peng Cheng scrutinized Li Yuan. He felt the student looked somewhat familiar, but he couldn’t quite place him. As the youngest associate professor in the Physics Department at Daxia University, he rarely browsed online forums, followed celebrities, or read gossip news.

Once he heard Li Yuan was just a student, Peng Cheng dismissed him from his mind. He turned back to Qi Siyu with a flattering smile. Noticing her flushed cheeks, he quickly asked with concern, "Siyu, why is your face so red? Are you not feeling well?"

At Peng Cheng’s question, Qi Siyu’s face grew even redder. She subconsciously shot a resentful glare at Li Yuan.

At that moment, Li Yuan was deliberately crossing his legs, trying to conceal the still proudly erect Great Sage Equalling Heaven.

Peng Cheng’s gaze was fixed on Qi Siyu. He misinterpreted her resentful glare toward Li Yuan as a tender, flirtatious smile. A surge of aversion and hostility toward the student flared up within him.

Qi Siyu glanced at Peng Cheng and said flatly, "I’m fine, Director Peng."

Peng Cheng shot Li Yuan a glance, finding him incredibly grating. The student had no sense of the situation at all. Shouldn’t he have the decency to leave at a time like this?

Peng Cheng glared at Li Yuan, repeatedly trying to signal him to leave. But Li Yuan, as if completely oblivious, simply sat there with a smile, not budging an inch.

Li Yuan cursed inwardly. This slick, pretty-boy moron is completely clueless. Where did this son of a bitch come from, ruining my good time and expecting me to leave? How the hell am I supposed to walk out of here in my current state? My Great Sage Equalling Heaven, equipped with its Six God Armament, was about to emerge and display its divine might, and now I have to put it away? This is just too damn frustrating!

"Ahem, young man," Peng Cheng said, looking at Li Yuan with a haughty smile. "Mrs. Qi and I have some things to discuss. Would you mind stepping outside for a moment?"

Qi Siyu stole a glance at Li Yuan’s tightly crossed legs and seemed to realize something. Her cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red as she explained to Peng Cheng, "Director Peng, I still have some things to discuss with him. If you need something, please just say it."

Hearing Qi Siyu make an excuse for Li Yuan, Peng Cheng grew even more annoyed with the rude student. But with the object of his affection present, he couldn’t afford to be impolite, so he maintained his suave and charming demeanor.

"It’s nothing important, Siyu. A new Japanese restaurant just opened in Modu, and I’d like to treat you. I was wondering if you’re free tonight."

Qi Siyu refused without hesitation. She had absolutely no interest in this man, hailed as the youngest and most promising associate professor at Daxia University. This associate professor, relying on his academic credentials and bright prospects, had been trying all sorts of ways to pursue her lately—sending flowers, inviting her to expensive meals, or giving her small gifts.

She had even secretly told her colleagues that she was into looks and preferred tall guys, hoping Peng Cheng would get the hint and back off.

But Peng Cheng, completely self-satisfied, had ignored the hint and carried on as usual. He continued his relentless daily check-ins and expressions of concern, even going so far as to act as if he were her boyfriend, which left her utterly exasperated.

Annoyed, Qi Siyu still replied politely, "I already have plans tonight, Director Peng. Perhaps another time."
