Chapter 860 - 856: Billy's Fury (Part 1)
Ivan Horne's CEO's Office is on the sixtieth floor, so Camila Ruiz went straight up to the sixtieth floor.
As soon as she walked out of the elevator, she saw Florence Ford standing at the door of the CEO's Office, dressed in a black female suit.
Seeing her come out, Florence Ford's beautiful face seemed to grow even colder.
"Miss, may I ask you..." the Secretary noticed Camila Ruiz, and immediately circled out from the secretary's desk to greet her. But before she could finish her sentence, Florence Ford walked over, casting a cold glance to signal the Secretary to keep busy with her work, indicating that she would attend to Camila Ruiz herself.
The Secretary knew Florence was the new CEO's Personal Bodyguard, with some influence in front of the CEO, so she obliged Florence's glance and returned to her work. But her ears remained alert, hoping to catch some gossip.
The new CEO was unexpectedly handsome and cool, mesmerizing all the women in the company when he appeared. All the ladies couldn't help but stare in awe, wishing they could swoop in and take him apart, as if they hadn't seen a man in ages. The very first day the CEO returned to the company, a woman came to visit him. Naturally, the Secretary wanted to figure out if the new CEO had a girlfriend.
If he didn't have a girlfriend, then they might have a chance.
Nowadays, CEOs and secretaries are the ones most likely to develop romantic feelings.
"Why are you here?" Florence Ford coldly stood at the elevator entrance, blocking Camila Ruiz there. She was taller and colder than Camila Ruiz, pressing over her with an imposing aura.
She didn't like seeing Camila Ruiz.
She didn't like her in the past, she doesn't like her now, and she won't like her in the future.
Whenever Camila Ruiz appeared, the young master's eyes would only have Camila Ruiz, not even remembering who she was.
"Sister Florence, I'm here to see Billy. Is Billy about to get off work?" Camila Ruiz knew Florence didn't like her, understanding that Florence acted this way because she deeply loved Jimmy. She didn't want to argue with Florence, whose words were as cold as ice, while Camila's were warm and courteous, her pretty face bearing a smile gentle as the spring breeze. Those adorable dimples of hers always made her seem approachable. The two were starkly contrasted as warm and cold.
"The young master is busy." Florence didn't change her demeanor because of Camila's smile. Still cold, her undeniably beautiful eyes had taken on a somewhat frightening chill.
Camila Ruiz uttered an "oh" and then continued past her, walking forward.
"Camila."
Florence quickly turned around, striding in front of the CEO's Office door to block Camila once again, her coldly elegant face showing clear displeasure as she glared at Camila, "I said the young master is busy, you can't go in!"
"I won't disturb Billy even if I go in," Camila responded, good-naturedly.
"If you go in, even if you're sitting still, you will disturb the young master."
Camila Ruiz remained silent.
After a while, she looked at the time; it was almost twelve o'clock. It didn't matter if she didn't go in; she trusted Billy would come out soon.
Thus, in good spirits, she turned around, walked back to the secretary's desk, and the Secretary wanted to take her to the VIP Room to wait for Jimmy Horne. But Florence intrusively suggested that it wasn't necessary, that she should just wait in front of the secretary's desk.
The Secretary was a bit taken aback, wanting to say something, but under Florence's icy glare, she had no choice but to reluctantly bring over a chair, letting Camila sit beside the secretary's desk to wait.
Camila Ruiz remained silent, not saying a word about Florence's presumptuous arrangements. It seemed Florence was assuming she was the lady of the house and could take it upon herself to plan for Billy's visitors.
She didn't want to fight with Florence, didn't want to quarrel with her, but that didn't mean she would let Florence, with her arrogance, trample over her.
She followed Florence's arrangement, sitting at the secretary's desk and waiting. Once Billy stepped out of the office and saw her, naturally, he would hold Florence accountable. At that point, she wouldn't plead on Florence's behalf; it was Florence's fault for being overly self-assured and full of herself.
Florence continued to stand at the door of the CEO's Office, her cold gaze often glancing at Camila. Seeing Camila going along with her arrangement, a sense of satisfaction lingered in her heart.
They once counted as friends; she understood Camila Ruiz, knowing Camila was a kind-hearted person. In front of the young master, Camila is important, but in terms of tactics and scheming, she believed she could overshadow Camila.
Camila occasionally chatted with the Secretary, but the Secretary seemed a bit wary of Florence. After all, Florence was the new CEO's Personal Bodyguard, so she was hesitant to talk much with Camila, fearing that Florence might report her to the new CEO.
Realizing the Secretary's caution, Camila Ruiz smiled faintly and didn't interrupt her work any further. She pulled out her phone, pretending to pass the time by playing with it.
Seeing her playing with her phone, Florence's heart tightened. She feared Camila would text Jimmy Horne, but felt too ashamed to come over and order Camila not to use her phone.
So, she just kept a close watch on Camila.
Camila saw through her intentions, a teasing smile tugging at her lips as she deliberately chuckled softly at her messages, a blissful expression on her face.
Every time she giggled softly, Florence tensed up, her gaze like a knife, wishing she could slice Camila's phone into eighteen pieces.
The urge to tease grew in Camila, and she started to dial a number.
Florence's cold lips moved as if trying to say something, but ultimately, she said nothing.
"I miss you."
Camila Ruiz didn't even know who she called, sweetly uttering words that sparked imagination on the other end.
Florence's face couldn't help but darken, her eyes filled with anger.
That damn Camila, refusing to let her in to disturb the young master, and yet she chose to call him! Isn't that still disturbing the young master? As the young master's woman, how could she not know better than to bother him during work hours?
How is such a woman right for the young master?
Why does the young master love Camila so deeply?
Eighteen years of knowing her and she still can't see what's so exceptional about Camila? Besides being born into a good family.
Jealousy gnawed at Florence's heart.
But calling was Camila's prerogative. No matter how dissatisfied or jealous she was, she couldn't stop Camila from calling.
"Don't work too hard, if you do, I'll feel heartbroken," Camila chatted away on the phone, casting sidelong glances at Florence to gauge her reaction, her smile growing softer, her voice turning sweetly coy.
Fake!
At this moment, Florence was convinced Camila was definitely calling Jimmy Horne, cursing inwardly.
"Where am I?"
Camila abruptly asked. When Florence heard this, her entire body suddenly froze.
