Ivan is the manager, and managers usually start work at nine, which is an hour later than the regular staff. Usually, Ivan arrives around eight, but today is an exception.

Two extraordinarily handsome and charming young men sit on the sofa in the study. "Your phone rang several times just now. It must have been Camila calling. Why didn’t you answer?"

"I haven’t answered her calls or messages for a few days." Jimmy’s eyes showed a hint of guilt. He had been so busy this past week that he barely had time to eat. By the time he had a moment, it was late at night, and he worried that answering his phone or messages might disturb Camila’s sleep. So he endured it. Besides, he wanted to surprise her since he’d soon be returning to the country.

Ivan stared at him for a moment, then smiled. "Aren’t you afraid Camila will be angry? Telling her to wait for you for eight years, she might be burning with fury, and when you show up, she might burn you to ashes."

Jimmy’s face also showed guilt. It wasn’t what he wanted, but as the young master of the Ember Gate, he couldn’t just leave and do as he pleased. "Yes, he’s the second son of the Colson Family in A City. After his parents passed away, and his brother turned against him, he ended up on the streets. The Ruiz brothers took him in, and Ruiz’s father took him under his wing, for eight years now. He’s accompanied Camila and her brother for eight years, and their bond is deep. Charles has feelings for Camila, though he hides it well. However, I’ve noticed it. Now, he’s the General Manager of a subsidiary of Valence Group. The Twick Shoe Factory is quite sizable, covering thousands of square meters and employing over four thousand people. The fact that he could become the General Manager shows he is quite capable. My father has a high regard for him, and if he doesn’t turn against you, he could be my right-hand man in the future." Ivan shared Charles’s information, offering his cousin insight into the situation.

"My Camila, nobody can take her away!" Jimmy said domineeringly.

Ivan rolled his eyes at him, reminding him, "Being domineering might not work. After all, Charles has been with Camila for eight years, and you? You’ve known her for no more than five years, and that’s if you exclude your infancy. You’ve been together for at most three to four years. Do you compare with Charles in terms of time?"

"I can feel it; the person Camila loves is me!" Jimmy, though feeling a pang of jealousy, remained confident.

"But you made a mistake now."

"I will explain it to Camila," Jimmy understood what Ivan meant by "mistake," glaring at Ivan, complaining, "Don’t act so smug, or you’ll get your comeuppance."

Ivan shrank back deliberately, pretending to be scared.

"How long will you stay this time?"

"I’m not sure yet, but I’m here to take over the Black Emperor Group this time." Jimmy’s eyes held a firm resolve. Apart from taking over the Black Emperor Group, he also wanted to marry Camila. Only by making her his could he be at ease.
