Chapter 730: The New Route Part II
Chapter 730: The New Route Part II
This wasn’t real...
There was only one with this ringtone.
It was her favorite song that she set it only for him.
The song that he used to sing for her.
~Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars~
The song continued and Maysa was still confused. Not only the song, but also the name and the photo on her phone screen was of him...
The man whom she longed to see.
“Yes?”
Finally, Maysa decided to pick up the phone and talk.
There was only silence. Maysa closed her eyes.
“Na, can you hear me? If you can, talk to me, please. Anything...”
“....”
Even so, the end of the line was still quiet. Maysa could only sigh.
“You’re still angry at me, right? I know what I’ve done is wrong, but I want you to know that it’s not what you think. I didn’t want to lie to you. I... I really love you. So, please say something.”
Silence still stood. Her heart pounded so fast. Fear started to creep into her and her eyes grew hot.
It was the whole minute that no one talked to each other. Maysa did not know how to make him understand her since what she had done was so much to forgive.
“I love you, too.”
Eventually, he replied.
His voice was so gentle that her grey eyes opened wide in surprise. She did not even expect to hear his voice again, especially nice and kind words.
But what he just said...
If she was not mishearing things...
“Mhmm... I love you, too. I love you the most. Ever since we’ve been together and gone out on adventures in Pride together, your smile is what I love the most. Every time you hug me, I’m happy. Every time you talk to me, I feel warm...”
“Yes, I know.”
She did not mishear it, right?
He just replied with his gentle voice.
The familiar voice that made her unable to hold her tears back.
“Then... Then, please... don’t hate me.”
And that shaky voice of hers got Wisana sighing softly. Maysa covered her mouth and tried to hold her emotions.
She could not say that she wanted him to forgive her.
Not hating her should be enough.
“Thanks, May, for still calling me Wisana.”
A while later, Wisana replied back and she halted.
“Of course,” Maysa said. “How can you be anyone else?”
“I’m glad that you picked up my call, May, because this may be the last time we talk as lovers.” Maysa opened her mouth widely. “I’m very happy to be with you, too. I’ve seen you so jealous when other girls get close to me. I get to bully you, hug you, and kiss you. I won’t ever forget it.”
“W... Why are you talking like that? Where are you going? I don’t want to hear this.”
“The world’s changed, May.” Wisana continued with his gentle voice. “Nothing’s the same anymore. The man named Wisana will be no more, my love. Please remember only good things and start a new life. Leave the organization. Behind-the-scene work isn’t the field for a cheerful girl. I love your smile the most, too, May. Your smile makes me feel like I can fight anything. Thank you and goodbye, Maysa. I’ll always remember that once in my life, I’ve dated the cutest and the best girlfriend ever.”
“Wait, wait, Wisana... Wisana!”
“We should be able to meet again if our destiny decides to play a prank on us, Maysa.”
Beep!
“Wisana! Don’t joke like this, Wisana!”
Maysa tried her best, hoping that the man would talk back to her.
However, he had already hung up.
“No... Not like this... I don’t want this!”
She screeched and redialed as fast as she could.
“Pick up the phone, Wisana, please. Don’t leave me like this. You promised that we’ll be together forever. You promised that you’ll always have me watching your back.”
Yet, she could not call him back. She only got the message that Wisana’s number was not active.
Her eyes grew so hot like never before. Her lips were dry. She still had a lot to say to him, but he was not there for her anymore...
She opened her eyes widely. Tears ran madly down her cheeks. Her cell phone was dropped to the floor. Both of her hands covered her mouth. Her cry was so loud and filled with emotions that she could not control.

“Are you sure about this?”
The question was asked inside the big limousine. The two men were in there, facing each other.
The amber eyes glanced up with a straight face. Then, he looked down at his iPhone which was turned off.
“This is the best.”
Wisana replied and closed his eyes. Thada let out a long sigh.
“Actually, she can come with us, Mr. Vincent. Ms. Maysa should be willing to be on our side. And her ability to plan should help a lot.”
“Thada.”
The long-haired man had not finished his talk and Wisana interrupted with his powerful voice.
He opened his eyes again. This time, they were shining. It was clear that Wisana was furious. Every time he was angry or used the power of the king, his eyes would always glow like this.
“If anyone gets Maysa involved in this, I’ll kill him.”
This was not a threat. Thada knew that it was not a lie. Wisana would definitely kill anyone who messed with Maysa. In the end, he could only lower his head and accept it.
“Understood.”
Not so long after that, the limousine came to a halt. Both of them leaned out to look around. Wisana let out a long sigh again.
“May I ask you again, Mr. Vincent?” Thada said with a low voice.
“What?”
“Are you sure you want to do this? To be honest, this path is the toughest one. You can’t possibly turn back once you step on it.”
That question got Wisana sitting still for a while. He stared outside the window and eventually let out a laugh. Then, he glanced back at Thada.
“That’s why it seems fun.”
Thada smiled back before he shook his head. It was funny that the situation had turned out like this. And this man did not even hesitate.
“That’s also why I choose to serve you, Mr. Vincent.”
Wisana smiled back.
“From now on, cover my back, Thada.”
“It’s an honor.”
Thada lowered his head respectfully as if he was a knight who just received a great honor from the king. Wisana did not say anything more. His lips were stretched into a smile. He lifted his hoodie up to cover his head.
“Let’s go and revolt.”
“Yes.”
They got out of the limousine from a different side. The cool breeze blew through them as if to welcome Wisana. His amber eyes looked around, seeing other black limousines not so far from where he was.
“You’re late, boss.”
Suddenly, a cheeky voice was heard. Wisana turned to it and saw that Sander and Rattana were there. They were in black suits and red tie with a roaring golden lion on it.
Wisana turned to Thada. Thada took off his coat and revealed the same attire.
“Everything’s ready, leader.”
Rattana said sweetly. She spread her hand in a direction.
There was a big airplane there with a red carpet leading to it. Hundreds of people with the same attire were lining up!
“Have you decided where to go? The whole world’s waiting for you to go there and build the network for the war against the organization.”
The question came from Sander. The cheeky uncle shaved and his usually messy hair was put up into a neat ponytail.
Wisana smiled at everyone. His amber eyes shone behind the hoodie. It was proof that he was using the Pride System to decide where to go.
“Then, for the first day, we should take a nice walk in Tokyo and we’ll be enjoying some pizza in Turin next week.”
“Okay! Japan sounds fun!”
Sander saluted and beamed at him. Everyone stepped aside and showed Wisana the way that led to the plane. He knew right away that everyone was waiting for him. Then, he stepped forward. Each step was firm. His trusted warriors followed him.
He walked along the red carpet to the plane. So many people saluted and lowered their heads as he walked past them. Wisana barely took notice of anything around him and kept moving forward with his determined heart. His amber eyes were still shining. Eventually, he glanced back for the last time.
“Goodbye, myself and my happy life.”
...The End of “Crystal War”...
