Chapter 708: The Start of The Meeting Part III
Chapter 708: The Start of The Meeting Part III
“You’re disgusting. Every single one of you.”
Then, he turned around.
He could not look at his mom anymore. He did not even want to reprimand his sister since he knew that mom would not be pleased to see them fight.
“You misunderstand, Wisana.”
Wipada said right before he walked away.
Wisana turned back to her. He saw his sister’s eyes shaking for the first time.
Wipada could barely hold back her tears. It was clear that this was the first time she saw mom in this condition.
“I love her as much as you do.” Her voice trembled. “Do you really think I didn’t want to save you? Do you think I had fun seeing mom disappear? I want to fix everything if I can, but our standpoint is different, Wisana. Completely different. I don’t have the power like you. I don’t have the authority. That’s why I can only do nothing.”
She lowered her head as if she was struggling to swallow everything.
Wisana gritted his teeth. He took a very deep breath. His body trembled, yet he was speechless.
BOOM!!!
His fist was thrown at the glass of the next room. The glass was cracked. If it was normal glass, it would have been shattered. However, this was a brain wave-proof glass that was thirty times thicker than a bullet-proof one. His fist bled a little.
“It’s because of me that she’s in this condition!” He screeched and punched the glass again. “If I wasn’t a puss, she would have been fine. If I was stronger than this, I should be able to take that guy down!”
He punched the glass continuously until his fist was full of injuries. The glass was breaking up a little bit more at a time and was dirtied with blood.
The scientists rushed out of the rooms and looked at him in panic. Some ran to Wipada, who was standing there, looking at her brother.
“Chief, i... isn’t that the king? W... What happened?”
“Should we call the guards?”
Two scientists asked. Wipada raised her hand up.
“No need. Let him be.”
Her answer surprised everyone. No one knew that Wisana’s punches also eased her mind. There was no other way to let the emotions go wild for someone like her who could not shed a tear.
BOOM!!!
The last punch was so loud.
The man slowly dropped to the floor.
Wisana panted heavily without a single tear. It was as if it had all dried up. Wipada walked up to him, among all the worried eyes on them. It was clear that Wisana had lost it.
She did not say anything and sat beside her brother.
The siblings looked at each other before Wipada pulled him into her embrace. It was the gentlest and the safest hug. Wisana knew right away that his sister felt the same, even though they stood on a different ground.
“Are you feeling better?” The sister asked.
“A little.”
Wisana smiled back. He buried his face in her sister’s chest and hugged her back with his bloodied hands. Her white gown was tainted with his blood.
“I’m so relieved now. Thanks.”
Wisana laughed softly.
“We need to talk,” Wipada whispered. “Before it’s too late, I want us to be on the same page first.”
“Be on the same page?” The brother raised his eyebrow.
“Before you go to the meeting with the higher-ups in several hours, I want you to know what’s between our family and the future of this world. Including... mom’s last wish.”
----------------
The chilly atmosphere.
And the room with only a dim light.
The long black table was in the middle of the room with at least fifty people around it. There were both men and women. Each of them was in respectable black attire. They looked stressed.
And at the very end of the table where the chandelier was, they could all see his face clearly. His grey hair was slicked back. He was with a stern face and sharp black eyes. His lips were stretched into a thin straight line.
Payu...
The man who controlled everything in the Pride world.
Payu’s face clearly showed how angry he was. He interlocked his fingers under his lips and let his strange aura and furious brain waves flow so much that everyone in the room was sweating.
“I know you hate this, but please, this is a big meeting.”
A low voice whispered into Payu’s ear. Next to him, a middle-aged man with a loose ponytail, a moustache, and sharp amber eyes was sitting there.
Mavin, Payu’s right-hand man, a man who looked after Pride in Thailand.
“I know we shouldn’t rush Na into the meeting at this time and should explain everything to him first, but it can’t be helped, uncle. It’s not like we can decide everything on our own, right?”
“Vin...”
The old man said with a low voice. Mavin halted.
“Shut your mouth. I’m not in the mood to talk to anyone.”
His words were final. He was the complete opposite of a kind old man before. He was powerful and infuriated. He was so terrifying that Mavin closed his eyes and leaned against the backrest.
This was an urgent meeting.
After the unprecedented situation... No, it was actually what they had expected to happen, over fifty higher-ups of the organization were called here from their country for this meeting within twenty-four hours.
The first thing that surprised everyone was that ‘the king’ had been awakened from his long slumber. The second thing that they thought about was which path they should be leading the king to after he knew what his duty was.
Even though every higher-up was here in this very room,
They had not said a word to each other. Some were clearly agitated. Some looked too indifferent to read. Some seemed to be very excited about the king.
Knock! Knock!
There was a knock on the big wooden door at the end of the room. The man in black at the door touched his earphone and nodded.
“Everyone, our king’s arrived.”
The man said softly and everyone in the room stood up, including Mavin and Payu.
The wooden door was slowly opened. The tall man walked into the cold meeting room. The very first second that he stepped into this room, his black hair attracted the light from the chandelier. Everyone was halted by those amber eyes of his.
They were glowing, even in the dark.
The newcomer walked into the room with a straight face. He was in such inappropriate attire, a shirt and jeans, yet he emitted an aura so powerful that some people in the room found it difficult to breathe.
Wisana walked up to the meeting table when one man in black rushed to the empty chair and pulled it out for him. It was a high chair that was clearly different from the others.
He barely cared about his surroundings nor even the man who just moved the chair for him.
He sat on the chair, crossed his legs, and leaned against the backrest nonchalantly.
Everyone in the room looked at each other awkwardly. The atmosphere had changed completely after this young man came in. No one told them to sit back down, so each of them eventually reluctantly sat down...
‘Are these the members of the organization?’
Wisana thought.
He looked at them one by one, both men and women. They were mostly aged. They must be the leader of their own country.
They looked international.
“Now that everyone is here...”
