Chapter 696: Viola (3) Part IV

Chapter 696: Viola (3) Part IV

“But you said that you didn’t care, right? Okay, then, let’s see what it’s like under that mask.”

The red-haired man pointed at Viola’s face.

Crash!

A small beam was shot at the mask and crushed it to pieces. The silver-haired woman’s face was turned the other way.

“Auntie!” Wisana shouted. “You son of a bitch, stop doing this! Is it fun hurting a woman who can’t fight back?!”

Lucius beamed.

“No, it’s not. But if you see her face, it’s going to be fun for sure.”

“...What?”

Wisana narrowed his eyes. Viola wanted to lower my head like this forever. Her silver hair was covering his face. Lucius grinned.

“Look up, Viola. Be responsible for what you’ve done.”

“....”

Viola could only grit her teeth. Wisana parted his lips.

“Auntie..?”

Wisana murmured. Lucius could not wait any longer. He pointed his left hand at Viola and flicked it, forcing Viola to look up as if she was yanked by an invisible hand.

Her face started to be clear to Wisana, her similar amber eyes and a young face that did not look like that of a forty-year-old, even though her hair was all silver. Wisana knew this face very well. He had seen it since he was born and he would never forget it.

The woman he most loved and trusted.

“...Mom?” He murmured. Confusion was shown in his eyes.

“...Na.”

Viola could only say that and looked away as if she did not want to look her son in the eye. Their hearts almost stopped beating, even though they had different reasons for it.

“W... What does this mean? Y... You’re Baron... You’re Viola... No way... That’s...”

Seeing the boy like that, Lucius laughed out loud.

“Good...” He spoke through his teeth. “Very good. That kind of face is what I want to see, kid!”

He threw Wisana on the ground and stomped on him, not letting him go anywhere!

“Look at her. That’s Wimon, or Viola, your mother, one of the first Signeraters who created this stinky world!”

Lucius laughed so loudly that Viola could only grit her teeth.

“Mom... Impossible... I’ve seen Viola’s face and she wasn’t...”

“HAHAHAHAHA.” Lucius laughed even louder. “That’s a good speech, kid! Tell him, Viola, why you changed so much. Tell him why your cells have been reversed and changed you this much. Tell him!!!”

Lucius touched his forehead and laughed like a madman. Scarlet, who had been so quiet, stretched her lips into a smile of disdain.

“Why don’t you say it, the great Viola? The number one guardian of the organization can’t even talk about the wicked things she’s done, you selfish bitch!” Scarlet screeched.

“Mom?” Wisana called her. “Is this really you? Talk to me, mom!!”

The more she was pressured, the harder it got to speak. She looked as if she was about to cry, but she was holding it in. She gritted her teeth and looked away. Then, she murmured...

“Yeah, it’s me.”

Viola’s voice had changed into the voice that he had heard since he was born. That was his mom’s voice! She had been using a fake voice all this time. That proved that all this façade was intentional.

Wisana was speechless. He frowned as he was staring at his mom. Yet, she did not look at him. His mom being Viola was confusing enough, let alone being in this life-or-death situation!

“What do you mean? You’ve been deceiving me all along? What’s happening? I’m confused.”

“....” Viola was quiet.

“Say it, Viola. Tell him every truth.” Lucius grinned. “I’m giving you the opportunity. Don’t make it go in vain. Tell him everything.”

“....”

Even so, Viola could not even look at anyone. Wisana was even more confused.

“Mom! What the hell is happening? How can I understand it if you keep quiet?!”

“Say it, Viola.” Lucius rushed her. “She always said that I run from problems. Now that it’s about you, you’re running instead? Tell the boy. Tell him by yourself about everything. About himself and his real daddy.”

“Shut up, Lucius. No one asks for your intervention!!”

Wisana screamed at the red-haired man. The man raised his hands as if he was giving up. He smiled.

“Mom, what is this all about? You must tell me! If you don’t...”

Viola still turned the other way.

It was apparent that she did not want to say anything at this moment. Pain was shown on the boy’s face. Lucius let out a long sigh.

“That’s enough, Viola. I’ve had enough of pitying this boy.” He said wearily. “Is this what you call responsible? You’re even worse than me. What you’ve given this boy isn’t love, but lies. What you’ve put into his brain isn’t the hope that you’ve been talking about. It’s only a grudge that you have in your mind. What a pity.”

“I want to puke,” Scarlet added.

Lucius crouched down next to Wisana. He yanked Wisana’s head up to look at Viola.

“Look at her, boy, the woman that you’ve been calling mom. Actually, she’s only a vessel that was used to hold you and that’s it.”

Viola still did not look at anyone. She gritted her teeth to hold her emotions. Wisana could only narrow his eyes.

“Mom?”

“Mom?” Lucius repeated. “Ah, I see. She delivered you, therefore she’s your mom. But she’s not actually your mom. She doesn’t even have the right to call you her son. I told you, right, that she’s only a vessel for you? You’re only a full-fledged Signerater that requires the highest level of technology to modify your genes in order to be able to connect every cell of yours to the highest controlling system of Pride. To make it simple, you’re created to be the king to control everything, as the damned organization intended.”

Wisana scoffed at that.

“Hey, have you been on drugs?” Wisana yelled at him. “You’re babbling, prick. Have you watched too many cartoons?!”

Even though it seemed like he was joking, he was not. His eyes glowed angrily. Even so, he did not know what was happening.

“Mom, tell these sons of bitches they’re wrong!” Wisana turned to Viola. “I don’t care about how you’re in the game and disguised as Baron or whatever. It’s alright that you didn’t tell me you were Viola. But tell them that they’re wrong about the rest!”

“....”

Seeing his mom’s face so pensive like he had never seen before, Wisana’s heart almost stopped beating.

“Mom...?”

“Your mom can’t do that, kid. And you should know why, right?” Lucius smiled. “You grew up differently, I assume? You have sharper senses and learn faster than anyone else. You’re above everyone. There’s something that makes you feel like you’re different, right?”

Wisana went quiet. The man hit right on the spot as if he knew how he was raised and how everyone saw him as a monster.

“I’m not wrong, aren’t I?” Lucius said. “Other than being raised as a monster, Viola taught you every fighting move. She taught you how to control your focus and how to use weapons. Am I right?”

The answer was yes...

Mom even taught him how to use guns and assemble them. He did not know why. She wanted him to do it and he had to!

“Have you ever thought that it was strange, kid? For a boy so young, you had to learn all those unnecessary things?”
