Chapter 593: The Secret Shop Part III

Chapter 593: The Secret Shop Part III

“Are you kidding me?” Shin said. “We’ve come this far and you want us to back out? Not me.”

“Me neither.” Wisana drawled. “I’ll pass your little training. I’m not me if I give up now.”

The old lady smiled satisfyingly. At least she had started to get rid of Vincent’s spoiled brat persona. Shin had also started to open up his mind to others. Being with the annoying Wisana seemed to be good for him. He smiled more often now.

“Tell me what the final training is,” Wisana yelled. “We’ll get through it.”

Baron beamed at them.

“Don’t forget to be this bold until the end, boys,” Baron smirked. “Your final task is to get to the fiftieth floor and clear the last quest of this dungeon within the last two days.”

The boys looked at each other. Wisana let out a scoff.

“Just that?” He asked.

“Yes, just that.” Baron smiled at him.

“Wooo! That’s easy-peasy! We can be there tomorrow!”

“But.” Baron cut him short. “You have to go alone. We won’t be there with you anymore.”

Silence overtook the place. Even Stella and the dragon girls went quiet. If it was only Baron, that would be good because they would not have to deal with her bullies anymore. And the dragons were not involved in their fight in the first place.

But what about Ms. Stella?!

It was not funny to go there without her. It was a disaster!

“Are you mad!?” Wisana shouted. “You want us to go there alone? What about Ms. Stella?”

“She’ll be with me, of course,” Baron answered with a straight face.

“And who’s going to heal us?” Shin asked with a worried face.

“No one.” Baron smiled. “You have your potions from all the monsters you killed. I see a lot of good ones, too.”

Hearing that, the boys looked at each other.

The potions might be good but having Ms. Stella with them was better. At least she had the revival magic!

“Are you joking?” Shin asked again and pointed at himself and Wisana.

“Do I look like I’m joking?”

The boy’s face turned pale. Seeing that, Baron felt happiness inside. She smiled delightfully.

“Ah, and another thing. You, Vincent, your AI.”

“My AI, Jinnie?” Wisana raised his eyebrows.

“I’ll confiscate her temporarily.”

“What!?”

“Alice, do it.”

Then, Baron whispered something very softly. Suddenly, Jinnie started to form from glittering magic particles in the air into a beautiful golden-haired girl. She flew to Baron so easily without even looking back.

“W...Wait, Jinnie, how did you even come out? I didn’t call you.”

“I’m so sorry, sir. This is an order.”

Jinnie smiled awkwardly at him and went behind Baron.

“An order? What order?” Wisana frowned.

“Your AI has this ability to heal wounds and so many kinds of supporting magic. If she’s with you, it’ll be too convenient, don’t you think, brat?”

Baron stroked Jinnie’s face lovingly and smirked at Wisana.

“Now, you’re only yourself. And one more thing.” Baron recalled something. “Jinnie, take off that butterfly wings ring thing.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Jinnie was so cooperative. The ‘Butterfly Effect’ ring disappeared from Wisana’s finger and appeared again on Jinnie’s.

“Hey, that’s mine!” The boy screeched.

It was true that the AI had the right to take off and use anything of the man it served, but it needed an order from the master first, not like this!

“Now, every convenience has been taken off you, brat.” Baron beamed at him.

“A... Are you a thief?!” The boy complained.

“No more complaint!” Baron shouted. “From now on, it’s all up to you what to do. Get to the fiftieth floor and complete the last quest there. If you can’t do it, then say goodbye to the war. Remember that!”

“W... Wait!”

Bang!

Baron immediately threw a smoke bomb on the ground in front of her. The boys had to guard themselves with their arms. They coughed until they got exhausted.

Their eyes were so teary because of the smoke that they could barely handle it. They started to see things in focus again after ten seconds. It was when they realized that they were alone.

“Hey, are you really leaving us?!” Wisana yelled.

Shin tried to look around, but all he could see was silence and the torches.

“I think they are,” Shin said wearily.

“Are they mad? We have less than fifty bottles of potion right now. I don’t even know if we can make it through the next floor!”

The man with lavender eyes had to agree to that. This test was too much. First, they did not know the way like how Baron did. Second, the only nurse was taken away from them. This was a survival game!

The quiet man let out a long sigh.

“There’s no use complaining. If we have to be alone, we need a plan.”

It sounded so pathetic. He clapped his hand on his forehand and looked up at the sky (although it was only a cave wall right now).

“The more we know her, the more cruel she gets. What is this way of training? It’s brutal, cruel, and neglectful. She doesn’t take good care of her students at all.”

“You want her to pamper you?” Shin asked, annoyed.

The complaining man halted. He wanted to argue, but he could not.

“Baron didn’t do anything wrong,” Shin said. “As you can see, our level and reflex have improved so fast and so much. Even I could feel that we’re stronger now.”

Wisana sighed and shook his head wearily.

“And don’t you think letting us fight alone is a little too much?” Wisana asked.

“Then, how did you expect her to train you? Pampering and patting your head every time you do something good? You want her to ask for your paw before giving you a treat, too?”

“I’m not a dog!”

Wisana yelled at him. The closer they were, the more annoying Shin was to him.

“Stop complaining and start thinking about how we’re going to deal with this. First, we need to be very careful when we use potions, especially the pixies. We shouldn’t use it if we don’t really need one. I think we should get a lot of rest tonight instead of using it.”

Wisana sighed. It seemed like they really were in a survival game. It could not be helped.

“Fine.” Wisana massaged his temples. “And what about dinner? I don’t have any food in me.”

Shin raised his eyebrow and distorted his lips before shrugging nonchalantly.

“It’s easy. A logical survival rule: if you want to eat, you hunt.”

Wisana drawled. He did not expect his life to be this hard! He drooped down as he thought.

“It must be the longest two days of my life.”

“There’s no use complaining.” Shin cut him short and pushed himself up. “You won’t improve, if you’re like this. Spending your time hunting for food is better, right, Mr. Vincent?”

He dropped a sarcasm before reaching his hand to Wisana.

Seeing that, Wisana smiled awkwardly and grabbed the hand.

“If we really have to be together alone, you should fix one habit of yours first.”

Shin pulled him up and raised his eyebrows.

“What habit?” He asked.

“Stop calling me Vincent. It sounds weird to me when it comes from you. If you really want to hit on my sister, I suggest you start calling me big bro from now on, Mr. Shindanai.”

He grinned. However, Shin did not find it funny at all. He really wanted to kick him in the ass right now, but he only sighed and turned the other way.

“Before saying any more of that, you should make yourself useful first, Vincent!” He scolded him and walked away. Wisana only chuckled.
