Chapter 488: Mysterious News Part I
Chapter 488: Mysterious News Part I
“Welcome to the Pride world. Master.”
Jinnie’s voice rang up lively when Wisana logged in to the game with some sparkling aura that slowly formed a tall, playful-looking man on Alexander’s bridge.
“Thanks, Jinnie.”
The small greeting was returned, while Wisana was sweeping those amber eyes around the room in search of any of his guildmates there. And as expected, he saw Aerin, who was just back from a long trip from Lutier, sitting in her communication agent station.
“Hello, Boss.” Aerin greeted him with a delighted smile. “Eh? You’re online early today. Usually, you’d be a little late, wouldn’t you? And where’s Captain?”
Hearing his guild member’s question, Wisana even openly made a sour face.
“She’s still sulking until now. She probably hasn’t slept yet!”
He answered in a frustrated voice. And Aerin curled up an amused smile at that.
“You two still haven’t made up?” She asked.
“I tried everything I could possibly think of to make up with her again when we were offline. But she spoke only three words to me so far.”
“What did she say?”
“Leave-me-alone.”
Then, the listener covered her mouth with her hand like she did not want to discourage her leader by laughing. And when she came to think of it, if this captain got to sulk at someone, she totally went all the way!
“That’s why you logged in early?” Aerin asked again.
“Not really. I just have something to talk about with some jerk.”
“Who?” Aerin arched her brows.
“You don’t know him.” Wisana waved her off like it did not matter. “Anyway, where’s my other problem? She’s not troubling anyone out there, is she?”
“Oh, if you meant Samie, she’s taken little Mo to the river down there.”
Aerin said, opening an information screen up for Wisana to see. What was on the screen was an image of the black-haired woman taking off her loose, untidy cloak to swim with his daughter (and hers, too) in the river that ran down from some waterfall in the area. And her expression clearly said that she was ‘extremely happy.’
Seeing that, Wisana let out a sigh.
“These two get along very well. I started to think that I’ll be the least favorite one someday now.”
The speaker sounded like he was upset. Meanwhile, the listener just chuckled in her throat.
“Well, they are mother and daughter. It’s not surprising for them to get along.”
“You’re not wrong.” Wisana sighed. “What’s wrong is this god of misfortune that clings on to me right now!”
He said, then stomped out of the bridge with a turbulent face. Meanwhile, Aerin just giggled after him because she had never seen her leader upset like this before!
An entire day passed by quickly, after the war break, like taking a breath. And it was the full day that Wisana spent trying to make up with his girlfriend, Maysa. However, all he got from that effort was some kind of undefeatable aura. So, it was the day that she refused to get anywhere near him. She just stuck to his sister like they had been loving each other so much for an awfully long time.
But luckily, Maysa did not leave for Bangkok with his friends. Yes, Tunwa and Nuchjaree were on their trip back to the capital with his older sister this morning. Moreover, what doubled his headache was how his two friends were not okay with each other.
Yeah, well, this was probably ‘sulking fever’ season!
That was why everyone kept sulking these days!
So, finally, it turned out that he had to drive his two best friends to the airport in their silent treatment. Luckily, his sister saved his day by chatting with him along the way. But when he left the airport after dropping them off, he was back to being alone again, because he had to drive back home by himself.
Of course, since Miss May had become clingy to her friend now!
And that was how Wisana’s tiring day went.
So, today was the day!
It was the day when he was online again. He had to clear things up quickly. First, he had to explain to Maysa, making her understand that he was not the one asking Samie to be around, even though he had told her that countless times.
Since he failed to explain it,
He might have to ask an expert like that weirdo to help!!
After the thoughts, he walked right into Alexander’s living room, which was now empty of people. And that made it such a perfect place to talk about some important stuff.
“Jinnie,” Wisana called the name in such a blunt voice.
“Yes, Master?”
“Could you make a call for me?”
“Who would you like to contact?”
“Dragon warrior class office, directly to that Lexiera himself.”
“Please wait a moment,”
Jinnie was quiet as she did what she was told. After that, a blue transparent screen popped up in front of him with the words, ‘Connecting...’ written clearly on it. There was a telephone icon with its signal flashing to the side as a sign that it was connecting to the other side of the phone urgently.
“Hello, Mister Vincent. What makes you contact me so early in the morning like this? You’re so quick to be online by the way.”
The lively voice came from the screen with a familiar face. His blue hair was messy and out of style. His glasses lenses were thick, making the man look like one of those nerds every time Wisana looked at him.
“Lex, I don’t have time for small talk, so let me just cut right to the point,” Wisana said.
“You look so restless. Is there any emergency?” Lex asked, tilting his head to the side.
“Of course, there is. It’s about Sarquros the dragon girl!”
Hearing Wisana shout, Lex raised his eyebrows slightly, before slipping out a chuckle finally.
“So, you already met with her?”
“Huh?!” Wisana barely held himself back down on the couch. “So, you knew this would happen from the beginning?”
“Yeah, I did since I’m the master of the dragon warrior class. Also, don’t forget that I’m best friends with Texala, who is the queen of dragons as well, Mister Wisana.”
Wisana reached his hand up to smack his temples so hard like he had never had this pain ever in his life.
“...Knuckle...” He whispered softly. And Lex, who was on the other end of the call, raised his brows.
“What was that?”
“You freaking knucklehead!!!”
Wisana shouted aloud, making the listener jump, before curling up an awkward smile.
“You knew about this the whole time but never thought about warning me about it. Do you realize how much I have been through? She almost broke my back with her charge, blew a whole mountain off with her deadly beam, and moreover, she even asked my girlfriend if she could join our relationship, ...you know, to build a polygamy relationship!”
Lex burst out laughing at his words right away.
“And what did your girlfriend say?”
“Totally not ‘Welcome to our relationship,’ you jackass!!”
The more Wisana yelled, the louder Lex laughed.
“Samie is a straightforward person like that. If she gets to believe in something, she’ll hold on to the belief. Meanwhile, if she loves someone from the bottom of her heart, she’ll love that person forever.”
