Chapter 475: The Forbidden Weapon, “Dark Longinus” Part III

“Everything is complete, right?” Shin asked.

“Yes, Mister Shin. My boss would like you to see the item yourself down there.”

“...Okay.”

The man replied briefly, then looked at his friends who were slowly getting up after him. Seeing that, the young man in the maid costume volunteered to lead his guests to the basement. Meanwhile, Manoch quickly walked up to his best friend’s side right away.

“Are we really going to see Miss Snow’s workshop?” The glasses man asked.

“Yeah.”

“Whoa! That’s awesome. Mek’ll lose his mind if he hears about this.”

Manoch seemed to be cheered up right away, because to be honest, he did not get a chance to visit the legendary weapon maker’s workshop like this every day.

After that, they all followed each other down the stairs to the basement instantly. After walking for a while, the stairs that were made of Parque had become stairs made of stone instead. The weather down here was hot like there was fire blazing around, making huge drops of sweat run down their faces quickly.

The stone staircase was like the ladders in a snake board game. Everyone looked ahead of them and saw a large hall made of only bricks and stones. The source of the lights was from the torches on the wall, looking classic like it was in the knight age.

What followed was the smell of some chemicals mixed with gunpowder reeking all over. It was so strong that Waree had to reach up to cover her nose from this unpleasant smell. Meanwhile, the guys seemed to be used to this kind of smell already. Angie remembered that there was a smell like dragon poop mixed in it, too. And then, it reminded her of when she had to roll in a pile of dragon crap with Wisana all of a sudden. Angie could not help but make a disgusted face.

“Tough work, isn’t it, Tim? There’re some weird smells everywhere.”

Shin said in a sedate voice, making the small figure that was walking in the front turn back to him with a strange-looking smile.

“Quite a bit.” The young man in the maid costume replied. “Boss barely ate and drank anything. As you might already know, but she’s always like this when she’s activated her working mode.”

“How’re the materials you brought back?” Shin continued asking.

“They’re working fine. A lot of them were used, though I don’t know what my boss modified on your weapon. But it seems to turn out great.”

Hearing that, Shin nodded in satisfaction.

A while later, they all had reached the bottom. The floor was made of stone as well, about 300 square meters large. The room was divided into stations orderly. However, each station was still messy with items piling randomly.

Until now, they were still unable to say if this was a workshop or a dumpster!

“I apologize for the mess.”

The boy in a maid costume spoke with a sour face. He tried to keep a smile on his face for everyone, but the smile looked slightly embarrassed.

“Boss always crashes the room like that when she works. There’s only me to clean up her mess here, and I happen to be away doing business for her frequency. That’s why the workshop looked shabby like this.”

“It’s fine. I’m already used to it.”

Shin responded to the apology for everyone, who was nodding in agreement right now.

The man with those lavender-purple eyes spread his hand out for Tim to continue leading them to the famous crafter quickly. So, the smaller one started pacing in front of them past many baskets that were full of various kinds of crystals and minerals.

It did not take long for them to see a work desk setting in a corner of the room. The desk was made of wood, and it was the same size as an average office desk. On the top of the desk, there were many types of test tubes placed in a line. But there were also tools like saws, screwdrivers, and drills, that did not seem right to be on the same desk with these test tubes at all.

There was a moderate size lamp that provided more brightness than anywhere else in the room. And there she was, sitting at the desk. Her white clothes now looked so stained and dusty that they were barely white anymore, and there were some blood stains, too. Her snow-white hair looked as if it was glowing under the light, but it also looked messy like she just freshly got out of bed. And on her forehead, a large pair of light filter goggles were girded there.

“Miss, they are all here.”

Tim said to Snow. And hearing that, she flinched a little like she was drowsing when they came down.

Then she glanced in his voice’s direction right away. And in the first glimpse of her face, everyone, except for Shin, jumped instantly.

“Sorry for taking a bit longer than I said. It’s just there’s something unexpected.”

Snow said in a raspy voice, but that was not as bad as the dark circles around her eyes like a sleepless person, her dry lips, and her dull-looking face.

Snow now did not have the trace of the cheerful person she was three days ago left at all.

And seeing her like this, they all started to wonder how she did her work in this shop exactly!

“You’re not that late. I’ve already counted some extra time for you. I never thought that it would be that easy to get done in the first place.”

“Aw, this is so like you, Shin.”

Snow said with a dry smile, and she would totally nail it if she meant to look like a zombie.

Snow in this stage was shocking, but Shin’s unconcernedness was shocking even more. Because it meant that after Snow made a weapon, she would be like this every time!

They could see now why this sister only made a couple of pieces a year!

“But well, you can stop counting down the time now, Shin. Come here.”

The dashing girl reached up to tie her hair in a bun quickly, before dragging another swivel chair to herself. Snow patted on it a couple of times as an invitation for the man to sit down next to her.

“What are you going to do?” Shin asked.

“Of course, arming the weapon on you, dummy.” She said with a smile, stretching her neck left and right. “Oh, well, you’re back in your typical man body now huh? Why’d you have to rush? You looked extremely cute when you were a girl.”

“Stop going off topic.”

Shin cut her off and took a seat on the swivel chair shortly after. And then, the rest of them started crowding around to see what the new weapon that this legendary crafter had made looked like.

“Everything turned out okay, right, Miss Snow?”

Manoch rechecked the weapon’s safety, even though the crafter did not look anywhere near the word safe at all.

“Sure. Is there anything I, the legendary Snow, cannot do?”

The dashing girl turned to reply to the glasses guy smilingly before she placed something on the desk.

It was a small jar filled with clear deep red liquid. Looking at how it sparklingly reflected the light, this red water was probably once some kind of crystal that was processed to be in liquid form.

“What’s that?” Shin asked.

“This is your new weapon, Shin.”

Snow answered, then flicked the jar with red liquid softly.

Knowing that, the man narrowed his eyes at it, not understanding.

“And I’m supposed to drink this potion?”

“Drink? Are you crazy? I’m the bloody weapon crafter, not a portioner.” She said, picking the jar up right away. “This is the new version of your weapon. It used to be in the form of two rings, but I’ve changed it to crystal ink.”

“Crystal ink?”
