Chapter 457: Quid Pro Quo Part I
Chapter 457: Quid Pro Quo Part I
“HRRRRR!!”
The sound of a long sigh was heard. A hand probed up under the chin, while those light grey eyes were having this look of being extremely pissed off. That was an obvious signal, showing how bad the mood the chief of staff of Nemesis was in. Her thin pink lips parted, itching with the urge to yell at someone right now...
Of course, she would feel a lot better if that someone was the one who sneaked out of the ship for a vacation trip!!
“Captain’s been like this for days already. Should we do something about it?”
That was Miss Stella, the chief of the medical unit, the full-grown woman who tied her blonde hair in a tight bun, looking sexy in her medical gown.
“Really, Miss Stella, what can we do about it?”
Another voice rang. The owner of a pair of shiny black eyes turned to catch eye with Stella. She toned her voice down to be as quiet as possible because the communicative agent seats were not that far from the captain.
“Well, you know that our captain’s a head-strong girl. She doesn’t listen to anyone when she’s angry. The only one who can deal with her like this is the leader.”
Warunya, who was reading a pocketbook, let out a long sigh.
She then glanced at the captain who was sitting not far from them,
But at that moment, those grey eyes of the pissed-off one looked up at her, too.
“What is it? You found that dumbass already?”
Maysa asked in a high-pitched voice, making the other two jump in unison.
“No, not yet there’s still nothing.” The two chiefs hurriedly waved their hands in denial.
“Okay then. Keep looking, please.”
Knowing that, Maysa frowned and spoke in a stiff voice.
Meanwhile, the chiefs looked at each other, before shaking their heads.
“See? We better not mess with the captain for now.” Warunya suggested.
“Agreed.” Stella nodded. “But seeing her being this pissed off, I can’t imagine what our leader’s body would look like.”
“It probably wouldn’t look like a peaceful death.”
Warunya laughed with a wry smile on her face, before continuing with her small book without minding about this anymore.
It had been 3 days since Alexander ship landed here, and they had not heard from the group in Lutier after that one time they reached back to say that they arrived in the city safely. And about the troublemaker who sneaked out, it was definite that he would not share his location with the ship.
For that reason, Warunya was troubled to search for the signal of her cheeky leader as the captain’s order. Maysa said to her, “Has our leader not caused a problem anywhere he went?” and she agreed with that, so that was why she was searching for any trace of the guild leader hopelessly like this.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
But suddenly, there was a notification on her communication window. Everyone in the room turned their attention in her direction, especially Maysa, who jumped out of her chair right away.
“You found him?!” Maysa yelled.
“Eh? Wait a sec.”
Warunya quickly put her book down, before typing on a glowing keyboard on her control panel. It was obvious that someone just sent some information in the guild’s channel through a shortcut network that only the Nemesis knew about.
“Seems like it was sent from somewhere near, so, this is probably not Shin’s party.”
Hearing that, Maysa curled up a wicked smile. She quickly grabbed Warunya’s chair and shook it excitedly.
“Open it then. And prepare to trace that guy’s location instantly!”
After that absolute order, Warunya turned to blink at Stella. Without hesitation, she proceeded to do as she was told by pressing a keyboard button to open the mail in the channel’s box right away.
----------------
To the soldiers of the revenge god,
Sorry for not contacting you for a long time, but I’ve finished my business and I am now on the way back home. Please wait a little bit longer for me there,
P.S. I have a gift for that sassy hero, too. (Be prepared for it)
From the colonel fried chicken.
----------------
The brief message with simple contact made the three women blink. However, it was Maysa who processed it the fastest. She clicked her tongue, knowing from the context and the name of the sender that it was not from Wisana.
“The colonel fried chicken?”
Warunya raised her eyebrows, before glancing at Stella.
“Don’t waste your time thinking about it, chief Warunya. The sender’s name is literally.”
“That’s right.”
Warunya reached to scratch the nape of her neck after speaking. Then she saw Maysa already walking away. She also seemed like she was about to leave the bridge, even.
“Wait, Captain, where are you going? And what do we respond to this message?”
“It’s up to you!” Maysa stressed her voice. “You can reply whatever, just tell him to be here in 3 days. I’m going out to put my mood on something!”
After speaking, the slender figure stomped out of the room.
The automatic door closed behind her as the two beautiful women turned to blink confusedly at each other. Their captain was really pissed off.
“I feel very sorry for those monsters she’s about to put her anger on.”
Stella said.
“That’s right. Their bodies are going to be very messed up.” Warunya said.
“Or she’s probably warming up for when our leader’s back.” Stella sighed.
“Either way is scary.”
And the two shook their heads out of pity after that.
----------------
“Good morning, Master.”
The sweet voice rang up when her indigo-blue eyes saw someone just pushing her slim figure up from the soft mattress.
Those amber eyes that still looked sleepy were glancing around the room confusedly. Wisana then scratched his head, making his glossy black hair messy as his Yukata fell off one of his shoulders.
“Good morning.” He greeted her back with a yawn.
“You’re up so early. You can sleep a little longer, you know. I’ll wake you up when it’s time.”
Hearing those words from the gorgeous AI, Wisana shook his head in response.
“It’s okay. There’s no use to sleep in.”
He said, shaking the blanket off himself and stretching his arms up. At the same time, the little Mona Lisa curled herself up in the same mattress as her father when her body touched the morning chilly air.
“Any progress with the information?”
Wisana asked as he slid out of the mattress and then tucked the blanket back on his daughter. After that, he slowly moved over to look at Jinnie’s 7 information windows that were opened at the same time.
“I’m about to get there.”
Jinnie answered while she was busily typing on those 7 screens skillfully. Wisana smiled a little at that because the only one who could type just as fast was Angie.
“Found anything interesting along the way?” Wisana asked again, before standing up.
“Yes, I think I found one.” Jinnie glared at her master right after speaking. “I ran a test, and it turned out that those Sand Men weren’t born in the desert.”
Listening to that, Wisana’s eyebrows knitted together.
“What does it mean?”
“It means that the Sand Men were summoned monsters.”
“Summoned monsters...?”
