Chapter 428: City of the Night “Lutier” Part I

Chapter 428: City of the Night “Lutier” Part I

Lutier was a city on the west side of the Pride’s world. It always had warm weather with something different from any other town, which was that Lutier was in the zone where it was nighttime all the time. It was also known as the city of the night. And when it was known as the city where the sun never rose, the entire city replaced that with some invented lights that were beautiful just as much.

Many lights from those bulbs were placed together to create many images. There was a large fountain in the center of the town splashing up high in the sky beautifully and colorfully. No wonder Lutier was also known as the sleepless city. Moreover, this town was famous for being the biggest casino place in Pride with four large auction houses in the center of the city. It could be said that this city imitated Las Vegas in the real world.

Those players who liked gambling and a chance to be rich always stopped by Lutier, because of a saying that was almost like a motto of the city that said, “Come as a poor, leave like a king.” and even though this was a war period, Lutier city did not seem like it had fewer players visiting at all.

Well, for these reasons...

This city could be either handing out opportunities to people...

Or sucking their whole future away, leaving them hopeless.

“Damn, Lutier can still be vigorous, even during the war.”

A cheerful voice rang with a wide smile. The tall man adjusted his glasses in place as he looked around him. The walking path was small and made of marble with beautiful palm trees planted for decoration along the way. On the sides, there were various kinds of businesses opening, including casinos, which there were already 7 of them on this one block. There were also Broadway theaters, restaurants, and a bar with girls in bunny girls’ costumes waving customers into their place.

“This is such a festive city.”

Another voice from a girl rang up from beside the glasses man. He turned to smile widely at her right away.

“You’re here for the first time, Miss Aerin?”

“Yes, it’s my first time here. And I’ve never seen something as exciting before.”

The owner of an oval face and light brown hair grinned big to confirm her words. Her indigo-blue eyes like the ocean were glittering like she was having an enjoyable time with the view she saw.

“Good then.” a big smile crossed Manoch’s face. “Since we’re here earlier than we expected, if there’s a chance, I’ll take you out around the city. I’m sure you’re going to love it.”

“That’ll be great.”

Aerin almost skipped her feet. She clung onto Manoch’s arm like a child whose dad just promised to buy a new toy for her. However, this girl had something that grew too large to be a child a long time ago. Something soft pressed against Manoch’s elbow, making him blush as he laughed wryly.

“You’re walking too fast, Ae!”

Suddenly, a hoarse voice rang from behind, yelling, making the two turn to look in the direction. A tall man with hazel hair was wearing a large white coat and long pants. His hair was kept in a short ponytail. His attractive-looking face was frowning slightly.

Moreover, every step of this brown-haired man was being watched by the many eyes of other girls around. Some of them were openly shrieking about him right now.

“What if we’re lost from each other in this huge city, Ae?” The man walked to them with hands placed on his waist, looking ready to fight. “Don’t forget that we don’t have much time. Our business has to be the priority, okay?”

Manoch reached up to scratch the nape of his neck, before smiling wryly.

“Sorry, Nam, I got carried away. It’s been a while since I was outside, so I can’t help but get excited.”

“Hehe, me, too. Sorry, Miss Nam.”

Aerin said with a laugh. Seeing that, the brown-haired man let out a soft sigh before a little 10-year-old girl followed to cling to his leg.

“I want to play a slot machine.”

The little mage said, tugging at Waree’s coat softly a few times,

The man gave her a soft smile, before stroking the girl’s hair.

“Then we’ll play after our business is finished.”

“Yeah.”

Angie gave a sweet smile in return, showing that she still loved this age-different friend of hers even when she had turned into a dude like this.

“Anyway, where’s our main character, Miss Nam?” Manoch asked.

The listener frowned at the question.

“No idea. He was following me just now.”

“Come on, we lost him now? To be honest, we shouldn’t be in an open space like this for too long, especially you, Miss Nam. You’re the people’s attraction.”

Manoch commented straightforwardly because right now, dozens of girls around were all looking at Waree. And the one who just realized it, raised her eyebrows as she saw girls and women staring in her direction dreamily. Some of them were even shrieking.

“What are they staring at?” Waree asked.

Hearing that, Manoch and Aerin caught eyes like they were saying something to each other.

“You really don’t know what those women are staring at, Mister Vice?”

Waree blinked at Aerin’s words, turning to look at them again. And then she realized clearly that every eye was on her only.

“They’re staring at me.”

“Yes, who else would it be if it wasn’t you?”

Hearing that, Waree blinked again, before a cheeky smile immediately appeared on her boy’s face.

“Interesting,” Waree said smilingly, before stomping out of the group right away.

“Wait, Miss Nam, where are you going?” Manoch asked.

The playful one turned to give him a sweet smile after hearing that.

“Obviously, flirting with girls. I’ve always wanted to try it for a long time.”

Then the tall man left, leaving the three looking at each other. Manoch rubbed his temple, feeling weary somehow because ever since Waree had turned into a hot guy, she seemed to be strangely enjoying her latest look so much.

“What now? Our vice seemed to have forgotten the mission already.”

Aerin asked, looking at the cheeky girl- ...no, guy walking to a group of those girls to say hi and make friends quickly. Plus, she looked scarily smooth at doing this kind of thing, too.

“Don’t mind her. Right now, we need to find Shin first, so that guy can get his item in check already. But, damn, he was walking with us just now. Where on earth did he go?” Manoch said in a fed-up voice.

“Do you want me to go look for him?” Aerin asked.

“It’s okay. I don’t want you to get lost, too.”

Especially one who was clumsy like this girl. If the group lost her, they would probably find her again in the next life or something.

Randomly, Angie pulled Manoch’s pants a few times to get his attention. Those eyes behind the square glasses followed where she was pointing, and what he saw there tired him up even more!

“One’s too hot that all the girls go crazy, the other one is just so cute that the guys come swarm around,” Manoch said, huffing out a breath. “And there’re not just one or two. They came in as a crowd!”
