Chapter 304: Mission of Survival Part I
Chapter 304: Mission of Survival Part I
BOOM!!!
A resounding explosion was heard as the flame caught all over the area. ...From a quiet night, now it had turned into a battlefield of fire!
“KYAAA!! Watch your back, your back.”
“I know, I know. Stop yelling into my ear, you’re making me lose focus on flying!!”
The shouts came up continuously and endlessly, followed by a tall man flying in the sky with dangerous moves. Another massive fireball that just missed him by a few inches was already scary, but the black dragon that was flying furiously behind his back was many times scarier!
“I think you should fly down to find that dragon flare, Wisana, or we’ll never be able to escape it.”
Angie, who was still in Wisana’s arms suggested. But hearing that, he gritted his teeth.
“Tell that thing to stop attacking us then, maybe it’ll allow us to find the item peacefully. No, it won’t, because it’s chasing to tear me into pieces right now.”
“Come on!!”
The little girl drawled out of frustration, before changing her position in his arms to be steadier. She leaned over to look back and saw that the black dragon Sarquros was spreading its enormous wings to chase so closely after them. That scene made her little heart beat so fast that she could not calm it down.
That was so scary!
Well, who would have got the chance to be hunted down by the number one hunter of the game like them?!
She could guarantee that everyone who hung out with this guy would find the worth of their lives surely, but that meant their lives would be many years shortened. And when she weighed that deal, she found out that it was not worth trading at all!
Without wasting any more time, she got her scepter out, before pointing it to the enemy as her lips muttered slightly.
It could not get any worse, so why was she not trying to fight it for once?!
Blizzard Spear!
A second later, at least a hundred ice spears launched themselves up from Angie’s magic circle. Those magical-made weapons flew right into the dragon without a miss. But what was shocking was that they barely harmed Sarquros. Every spear was broken into pieces after it hit the dragon’s skin.
Moreover, the damage they caused was very small.
5,201!
“Five thousand?” Angie said, raising her eyebrows. “Ice spells should be its weak point, isn’t it? What’s with that hard skin?”
“That’s no use, Miss Angie,” Jinnie spoke while she was floating beside them. “Its level and ours are too different. We can’t beat it unless we use Magtiria potion.”
But Jinnie was right.
Angie pressed her lips together. She hated those monsters that were resistant to magic skills so much because they were likely to be the durable type with armor that completely protected them from both physical and magical skills. ...It would be hard work every time dealing with this kind of monster!
“Hold on tight, girls. You’re about to ride a rollercoaster!”
Wisana shouted loudly, while the girls were making a sound from their throats like, Huh?
But he did not say anything more. The tall man dropped their flying height to be closer to the ground, going straight to a spot that had the most overgrown forest in Drago Hild.
“KYAAA!! I wasn’t ready!”
“Master, could you please not fly so bumpy? I would drop the egg.”
“You girls complain that to the dragon then!”
The one who controlled the flight bawled loudly. Then he quickly took a glimpse back and found out that the dragon was following them down anyway, even though he decided to keep low to use these trees to hide them from its sight already.
Wisana was flying from left to right to dodge the trees that were in their way, hoping that these obstacles in nature might hold Sarquros down just a little bit. At least the forest around here would make it hard for a big dragon like that to move so freely!
“Now get stuck here, you damn dragon!” Wisana yelled out of satisfaction.
“Oh, crap.” But Angie and Jinnie just exclaimed at the same time.
“What crap?” The man asked, raising his eyebrows as he turned back to look.
And what he saw back there made those amber eyes widen instantly.
“Freaking crap!”
All these trees that were expected to be Sarquros’s obstacles turned out to be like cotton wool that was placed in its way. Right now, the massive body of the local black dragon was not even bothered by the barriers at all. It just crashed and knocked everything out of the way.
Moreover, as it was following them, Sarquros opened its mouth wide with the flame blazing out of there strongly. And that was all to make those amber eyes bulge right away.
“That’s messed up. Hang on to me tight, girls!”
Suddenly, everything became silent. A huge heat wave came crashing against them. The red-black beam went past and missed Wisana’s feet even by less than a centimeter!
Everything passed by very quickly, as well as the death. That massive fireball that had just passed by almost dragged them to hell by Sarquros’ tollway, but Wisana was able to fly up, barely getting away from it in time.
That attack made a long hold in the ground and everything in its way was caught on fire, showing them how frightening the enemy’s damage could be.
“That’s crazy! What kind of attack is that?!”
Wisana shouted out of frustration. He had never encountered any monster that could attack this strongly before. He even thought that the virus Lord Inferno he fought was tough already, but this Sarquros was many times more difficult!
“KYAAAA!! It’s coming again!”
Angie screamed when she saw Sarquros was incredibly fast as getting in a ready position to fire another beam. It just fired a huge one, but there was no delay after using the skill at all. Absolutely demon!
“Bloody!” Wisana cursed loudly, before opening his inventory window up. “You two close your eyes!”
BANG!
As fast as a thought, his survival instincts told him to do something. So, from his experience, even though it was a boss, getting a flash bomb in the face could make it blind as well!
Right now, even the black dragon Sarquros let out a loud growl as it lost balance in flying and crashed down to the ground with a loud crashing noise.
“It’s time. Change the plan. Quick!”
Wisana yelled when he saw that the little time they had for taking a break and breathing had started counting down now!
“Change the plan?” Angie tilted her head to the side curiously.
“Look, we’re going separate. You two go find that damn flare, and I’m going to keep this damn boss busy for a while. And when you find it, contact me, so we can get out of here.”
“That’s your plan?” Angie snapped at him with a high-pitched voice. “That’s not the plan. That’s just you running to the death. You already saw how brutal that dragon can be, but you still...”
The older one clenched his jaws, clicking his tongue.
“Why do people always disagree and tell me it’s too crazy every time I suggest a plan to them? But come on, Angie. You usually act like you hate my guts so much, and now you’re acting like you care?!”
“I don’t care,” Angie yelled back. “But let me ask, if you die here, who will take me back to Waree?”
“UGH! You’re talking too much. Stop arguing with me and go find that dragon flare now. Leader’s order!”
KYAAAA!!!
His last straw was snapped when he managed to drop the girl, who could get on every nerve of his, give him a headache, and drive him crazy in every situation!
