Chapter 276: The Upgraded Nemesis and Major Meeting Part I

The sky was slowly turning dark. The stars started hanging above, looking pretty like a painting by a famous artist that nothing like this could be found anywhere else, especially not Bangkok, the city full of invented lights. Meanwhile, the gang was all beaten up from playing around on their first day in Chiang Mai trip all day long today.

“Oh, you haven’t slept yet? Pride’s server is open today, you know. Those guys might have been waiting for you by now.”

A sweet voice rang up as a slender body appeared in baby blue pajamas. Waree smiled at the other as she walked out of the bathroom, while she was rubbing a towel on her wet hair.

“I’m downloading the new patch right now. How about you? You took a shower so long.” The one who was on the sofa replied lazily.

“I’ve been covered in dirt and sweat all day from when we went to the strawberries field, or when we tried out those machines in the processing house, and finally, we ended up in the kitchen with Auntie Yoii.”

After getting a chance to complain, Waree did not hesitate to do it in a long speech. And Maysa giggled at that.

“But it was fun, right?”

“Yeah, a lot,”

The owner of the light brown hair nodded a couple of times, before resting her head down on her best friend’s lap. They both laughed with each other for a moment, before Waree looked up at the ceiling and noticed then that there was a spot that was made of transparent glass, so she could see it through the sky outside.

And the image that she was seeing a second later made her exclaim softly.

“That’s pretty.”

“I know right?” Maysa smiled widely as she looked up to see the night sky above them again. Then she started giggling as it reminded her of something funny. “Everything is so nice here.”

“Yeah, Mom and Auntie Yoii are adorable, too,” Waree said as she smiled knowingly. “And it’s so obvious that they’ve been testing their in-law openly like that.”

Maysa frowned her eyebrows slightly, before scratching her cheek. After that she thought about when Auntie Yoii asked her to help make dinner after she was already exhausted from running around picking those strawberries in the field, then Maysa smiled wryly.

Auntie Yoii probably wanted to test her cooking skills, and she was expecting Maysa to fail. But what she did not know was that Maysa got dragged into the kitchen by her boyfriend more times than Auntie could ever imagine. The outcome was that she could cook satisfying Northern dishes, and Miss Wimon seemed to add many times favorite scores for her. But in the meantime, Maysa knew from a glance at Auntie Yoii’s eyes that this test had not been over yet.

“Good thing that Na taught you to cook. But I never realized that you would be this good.”

“Of course, it’s just Chief Maysa’s thing.” Maysa shrugged like she was unbothered with a cute smile on her face.

“But I still don’t want to believe that Na and Dah are completely different from their mother like that.”

“Right.”

Speaking of this, the girls had to feel amused every time. First, it had to be understood that both Wipada, the oldest sister, and Wisana, the middle child of the Waleerak family, were in the standard of super genes. They were tall, good-looking, and their manners were dignified.

And then there was Miss Wimon and the youngest sister...

In Miss Wimon’s case, her age might have been way past her 40s now, but how she was forever young made her stay youthful a little bit too much. With her small body size, her young-looking face, and how her body looked like a 16-year-old’s. (Unlike Wipada, she was already 166 centimeters tall when she was 16.)

Moving on to the youngest sister of the Waleeraks, her name was “Wisanaat,” or as known as Naat by everyone on the farm. She was the only one of the siblings who had full DNA from Miss Wimon, with her pitch-black hair that was kept in a loose braid, her young face, and a tiny body. She did not look any different from her mom at all.

“Naat seems like hanging out with you though, May,” Waree said smilingly.

“Really?” Maysa smiled. “She’s nice. She asked me to visit the city with her as well. You want to come with us?”

“Nah, I think I’ll be helping here at the house. I don’t want to be the third wheel.”

“Nam!”

Getting gazed at by her best friend, Waree hurried to get away from Maysa’s lap immediately. Because the other’s hands were already up in getting ready to use her deadly ultimate trickle trick to finish her off now.

“Did I say something wrong?” Waree’s mouth still refused to stop, even though she had escaped from the sofa to be standing behind the bed now. “I just thought that you might want to take a sweet walk with Na in the city. But if I come, too, you’ll have to stay with me instead. So, I’d rather be preparing for the party at the house, while you’re shopping with Na.”

“There’re others coming, too!” Maysa snapped, looking like she was about to chase her annoying friend. “Also, it’s a party supplies shopping for his mother, not like we’re going on a date!”

“Oh, right.” Waree purposedly drawled her voice to annoy the other. And that made Maysa’s eyebrow twitch. “Anyway, today, you should have pleased Mom a little. She even had Auntie Yoii prepare a bed for you, why wouldn’t you spend the night in that room just to get it over with? She already told you that the weather got a lot colder at night, didn’t she? So, isn’t it better for you to have someone who’s used to the weather like Na to keep you warm in a hug and away from the cold? Cozy in both physical and mental.”

“Nam!”

Then the girls started playing tag in the guest bedroom right away. Maysa was struggling to move in her oversized one-piece pajamas, unlike Waree who was in a t-shirt and long pants that were more comfortable. So, she was faster to run, jump on top of the bed, and escape to the other side of the room.

“Aw, why are you acting up with just those words? Anyway, did you give Mom the answer, yet? About that question she asked at the table, when are you going to get married and move into Waleerak house, Miss Maysa?”

Maysa blushed at those words because it triggered the most embarrassing memories of today when Miss Wimon asked her out loud, right in front of everyone at the table, “When would you like to get married to Na? Should I start finding the auspicious date and time now?”

Of course, what happened after that was everyone bursting out a loud laugh, especially Wisana. It would not have been that funny if Miss Wimon had not asked that question with such a serious face. Because it meant that she wanted an actual answer from her!

Thinking about this made her angry a little somehow that her annoying best friend also took her embarrassment as a joke, and she was even laughing about it again right here. Now that she really wanted to press down on the bed and trickle her to death so much.

“If I don’t make you beg for your life today, don’t call me Maysa!”

“KYAAA!”

“Stop running, Nam. Get back here!”

“Don’t you have to hurry in the game anymore? People would have been waiting for you at the meeting by now!”

“No! Not until I press you down. I’m not going to stop!”
