Chapter 215: Qualifying Round Part V
Chapter 215: Qualifying Round Part V
“What happened in the moment that the enemy cast him into the building, Da?”
And the footage was zoomed in to Wisana’s feet before they kicked the wall of the tall building.
“Look closer at here, Toei.” Thada grabbed a pen to draw a circle on his screen, making the circle appear on the large screens as well. “Around his toes, there was the air element combined with the light element to create a weightless magic that he used to protect himself from the attack.”
“I can’t believe he was able to use that difficult magic within a split second like this.”
“Not only that. He also blended the ability of the air element into his kicking strength as well. Can you see the blue light that was spread up? That is the air element magic to increase the speed and agility for him. And the skill he used in killing the Minotaurus was the ‘Magic Charge’ type that combines magic with a physical attack.”
“Then he has to be one of the players with high levels as well, right?”
Thada nodded in agreement. “Player Wisana is level 76 from the Magic Warrior class.”
“That’s awesome. Guess that we’ve just discovered a dark horse here, haven’t we?”
“That’s right, we have.”
The pretty GM nodded with a gentle smile, even though his heart was pounding like it was about to burst out of his chest.
A dark horse? Totally wrong. He was one of the aces who was expected to win the event just as much as Shin!

“May, Na’s on the big screens. Look, they’re having his information on there as well!”
Waree was extremely excited that her brother’s faces were on the screens outstandingly in the middle of the Light Ring. Right now, the owner of emerald, green eyes turned to shake Maysa excitedly.
“Come on, Nam. Try hiding your feelings a bit. It’s just your brother on the big screens. Don’t be too excited.”
After getting scolded, Waree pursed her lips. Then she looked down, and she was the one who let out a chuckle.
“Aw, look who’s talking. Look at you, you get over excited that you’re all tensed up like this.”
Hearing that, Maysa looked at her hands which were now tense as they clung to her skirt tightly. After she realized that, she hurriedly let go of her hands with a little blushing on her cheeks.
“That’s right, Na! Keep hitting like that. Don’t stop. If you can keep this up till the end, we’re going to get freaking rich surely.”
A second later, Tunwa’s voice spoke up, making the two girls look at him and saw that he and Nuchjaree were looking at the bet window with an excited expression.
“Hey, you two,” Maysa shouted at them.
“What is it, May? We’re rooting for him now.”
“Don’t tell me that you actually placed a bet?” The questioner raised her eyebrows with a shocked face.
“Of course, we did. We went all the way to buy the window. What else are we supposed to do with it if it isn’t betting?” Tunwa replied with a delighted voice, before turning to smile at Maysa. “But don’t worry. We bet on Wisana. His price rate is kind of low, so if he actually wins this qualifying round, I’ll have one hundred thousand piling up in front of me, May.”
Then the cheeky one just turned his attention back to the battle that was going on below unbothered, leaving the listener gasping as she rubbed her temples harshly.
“These guys are giving me headaches. Are they really worried about their friend?”
She said wearily, then shook her head, while Waree was laughing nervously like she did not dare to have an opinion about that. Because she actually placed a bet on her brother for many thousands as well. ...But if she told May about that, May would be totally upset with her.
And the battle kept going on intensely. After Wisana had demonstrated his abilities brilliantly, there were smaller screens appearing beside the large ones to focus on Wisana especially, another sign that he was the audience’s attention now.
The battle had continued for 15 minutes finally. After the end, there was nothing interesting happening in each block. Except for block A which had a man who was out there rampaging the monsters, ...and of course, he went after Minotaurus only!
For this reason, the fighting noise from the battles down there started dying out, but the cheering noise on the grandstand got more resounding. Because the movements of that man from block A were fascinating and his sense of fighting was brilliant. Moreover, the fact that he could kill 37 Minotauruses in total in 15 minutes just hit a new Hunting Gate record now.
----------------
“Phew, finally.”
A hot breath was exhaled out, as well as the sweat that was soaking all over his body. The tall one was sitting and leaning on the ground, letting himself be in the most relaxing position.
“15 minutes felt like an hour. Damn.”
He said as his amber eyes were looking around with a smiley face.
“It was exhausting, but it was still worth it though.”
Wisana let out a chuckle as he looked at the bodies of Minotaurus that were lying scattered around the area, looking like there was a plague spreading here. Seeing that, he got himself to stand up again, even though he had been targeted by other players now.
“Congratulations to those who have made it out alive!”
Then GM June’s voice spoke up again while her face appeared on the players’ screens. ...She was smiling and winking seductively like the same.
Unlike those who had made it out alive, they were all too exhausted to have a conversation. And the bustling energy they were having 15 minutes ago was now gone. And that made Wisana chuckle, feeling amused about the reactions of these people somehow.
“To not waste any more time, I suggest the winners hurry up and get in the town right away by using the item ‘The Key of Hope’ in your inventories.”
After GM June finished speaking, sparkling light appeared around Wisana and a player who was standing close to him, as well as a little congratulatory song that sounded up.
“What’s this?” Wisana spoke up softly.
“Guess it’s a sign to tell us that we’ve passed?”
The man next to him replied. He was a tall man with brown hair and a black fabric strap that was covering one of his eyes.
“You’re right. Here, that key had appeared in my inventory.”
“Yeah, I got one as well.”
He smiled at Wisana in reply, making him look around the place and see that many players were sitting sadly on the ground after they knew that they did not make it to the next round. Meanwhile, some of those who passed started yelling out, especially the huge guy that had a huge axe as his weapon.
“I think we should hurry and get inside the town. The other winners from this round might have been there by now.”
The man who had one eye covered suggested, and Wisana nodded in agreement, before starting to walk out of there.
“Anyway, you’re so good. I’ve never seen a player from your class before. A fighter mage? That’s rare.”
“Yeah, something like that.” The one who got complimented smiled widely as he scratched his neck. “...You made it out alive like this, you’re probably high-skilled as well, right, er...”
“My name’s Vis.”
The one-eyed man smiled widely after knowing that he tried to ask about his name. And the one who was an expert in building up friends smiled back when the other seemed to be friendly with him enough.
“I’m Wisana. Nice to meet you.” The young man held his hand out to the other.
“Hi, nice to meet you.” And Vis shook hands with him nicely.
