Chapter 201: Belated Party Part II

Chapter 201: Belated Party Part II

“There’s someone who went hunting Ouroboros?” She looked up and asked.

“Correct,” Thada answered, smiling.

“Really? Ouroboros from the north? The one that hasn’t been hunted for two years?”

“That’s right, little brother.” The older one grinned. “And they went in with just 9 members party.”

“9? They went in just to get killed, or what?”

The youngest one frowned his eyebrows with an amused smile. Because those guys were probably out of their minds to think that they could defeat Ouroboros with a small party like that.

“No, they didn’t, Ton. They’ve already defeated it.”

“H...huh? Excuse me, Anne?”

Ton shouted, looking at his senior instantly.

“Here. This is the time stamp in the system, saying that Ouroboros the boss was killed at 5.23 O’clock in real-world time, and the one who killed it is Shindanai.”

“Shindanai.” Ton raised his eyebrows, before snapping his fingers with a loud, clear noise. “Oh, I remember him now. Shindanai, whom you’re talking about, is that first-ranked hunter. He’s very famous currently as the hunter who could defeat Dorian dragon by himself, right? “

“Right, the one and only.”

Thada said with a smile on his face, before taking off his GM uniform, since his sweat earlier made him feel all sweltered and sticky.

“I see. Because the party had this guy with them, that’s why they could kill the boss.” Ton let out a sigh. “Looks like Shin will be a good attraction for many audiences to attend the Hunting Gate event just like Da said. I think that the game system had probably made an announcement all over the server by now that he’s the one who killed Ouroboros.”

“Yeah, the other players would already know that, but no one knows that there’s another guy who just created a new legendary, too.”

“What legendary?” Ton raised his eyebrows.

Hearing the question, Thada smiled broadly in reply. He looked at Rattana, who was still reading the information in front of her concentratedly until she had to narrow her eyes to consider it again.

“Da,” She spoke.

“Yeah?”

“Is this information accurate? Where did you get it?”

“It definitely is. ...In the new patch, I’ve planted the support system for detecting cheating programs everywhere. And in the case of hunting bosses that have higher ranks than B, I also put the camera system and the hunter’s info scanner in all the dungeons thoroughly.”

“So, this information is real.”

Rattana said with a quiet voice. She tried rubbing her eyes many times, until Ton could not wait any longer and walked up to it out of curiosity. ...And after he saw the image on the screen, his eyes instantly widened.

“...Attacking Ouroboros with 442 million damaged points?!”

Then he yelled out aloud, making Rattana sigh at that as well.

“How did they do that, Da? 442 million is an enormous number. I’m not even sure if a GM like us would be able to do that.”

“There’re many factors needed before someone’s able to do such strong damage, but yeah, it’s happened, my brother.”

Ton paused after listening to Thada’s reply. Then he held a hand up to scratch his cheek, trying to find reasons to support the information to be more reliable for himself. But he could not think of how anyone in this world could attack Ouroboros with 442 million damage at all.

Even though they had just updated the attack damage’s ceiling in the game up to 5,000 million points in the new patch. And then there was this punk who broke a new damage record a few days afterwards.

And they even did it with 442 million...

What a monster!!

“Did your system record the name of that player, too?”

“Oh, yeah, it did.” Thada smiled widely.

“Who is that? The last time Vincent did it with 125 million points and people already went wild about that. But this time, they did it with 442 million, our server will probably get crashed again for sure.”

“It’s not someone else though. It’s the same person who just broke his own record.”

Hearing that, Ton raised his eyebrows, making a sound from his throat, sounding like huh? ...Then he looked at his sister who did not have a shocked expression anymore. Rattana was smiling, and it was even a rare smile to be seen from this sister, too!

And then she held up a hand to cover her mouth, while she was trying to hold back her laughter, looking really cute in Thada’s and Ton’s eyes. ...The two boys could only look at each other, not quite understanding why the woman who always had an emotionless face was smiling so sweetly at this information so much.

“Just suggested to him a couple of things, and who would have thought that he would impulsively go challenge Ouroboros and give me a surprise, too? This guy is really unbelievable.”

----------------

In an area in the southern part of the Pride. The area was surrounded by only desert. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, radiating the heat out more than anywhere else. That was why few travelers were passing by here. There were not many interesting monsters either.

In such a case, it was the perfect place to be the base of those item hunters!

A small cave tunnel was located there in the middle of the desert, leading to full-set computers, looking like the inside of the CSI team office.

Before those large screens, there was a sleeping man on a small office chair putting his legs on the large keyboard as he was snoring and drooling.

“Sh*t, that damn GM. How did he come out of nowhere like that? What bad luck was I in?!”

Suddenly, there was a yelling coming out, scaring the one who was napping carefreely. He jumped so hard that he fell out of his chair!

“W... who the hell is yelling here?”

The drowsy one scratched his head, while he was looking around to find the owner of the voice. And after he saw who had just walked into the room, he frowned his eyebrows tightly and shook his head wearily right away.

Because right now in the room, there was a short figure with messy red hair who was dressed up in a worn-out tank top and ripped jeans, and the other one was obviously much taller with a buzzcut haircut and a cold face. ...And importantly, these two looked like they just got back from a bare-handed fight with a pack of dogs.

“Stop complaining, Red. We were lucky enough that we could get away from that Thada guy.”

“No, we weren’t.” The owner of the red hair bawled. “That GM ruined all our plans, and he also took all the stuff I’d stolen back. Screw him. That’s all my income!”

After he finished yelling, the owner of the name Red smashed his fist on the thing that was the nearest to him, which was the computer power supply unit, harshly!

“You’ve been yelling to interrupt my nap, and now you’re hurting my son, too, Red?”

The one who was in the room in the first place spoke up impatiently, making the two newcomers frown their eyebrows. They looked at the voice instantly and saw a short-haired man wearing small-framed glasses with a chain hanging from them around his neck. His expression looked upset like he wanted to scold them.

“Shut up, Yellow. It’s easier for you to say, you don’t have to deal with the thing I did!” The one with the name Red shouted out loudly.

“You’re right, I don’t, because I’m not the type who likes looking for trouble. And Boss even told you to stay and wait, and you should have done so, not going out there to work on your own like this. So, what you had to deal with was just the coincidence you deserved.”

“What’d you say? You four-eyes!”

CRASH!!

Red said and smashed the computer power supply unit again harshly, making the eyebrows of the one named Yellow twitch a little before he curled up a smile finally.

“I think I’ve already made myself clear, Red,” Yellow said. “I mean if you don’t want to die, you should just learn how to shut your mouth up a bit or learn how to be less annoying on my nerves. Also, if you dare touch my son one more time, I swear to god.”
