Chapter 198: Versus “Ouroboros” Part XIII

Chapter 198: Versus “Ouroboros” Part XIII

“Don’t!”

But Wisana shouted out to stop her, making Angie jump.

“You’re just going to ruin my plan. Don’t destroy that arm yet!”

“Plan?” Angie raised her eyebrows. “What plan are you talking about?”

GEEEZE!!!

But suddenly, Ouroboros screamed out with a high-pitched resounding tone, making the whole floor shake. ...At the same time, Wisana paused, staring at the enemy with frowned eyebrows.

“...What is it up to now?”

“This is bad, guys. Hurry up and find a cover. Ouroboros is about to use its ultimate skill again.”

That was Warunya shouting out and making everyone pause. But there was only Waree who was smiling as she said.

“It’s okay, P’ Orn. If it attacks us, I’ll handle it.”

“It’s not like that, Nam,” Warunya shouted loudly. “T ...this is different from the last time. It’s about to attack us with a Philosopher’s Stone!”

“Philosopher’s stone?”

Everyone repeated the words confusedly. And that could be implied that they did not see any information of Ouroboros about this in Warunya’s book, so they had no idea what the boss was about to do. ...There were only Wisana and Shin who seemed to understand and sense the incoming disaster!

Especially the owner of those amber eyes, whose brain was running so fast that his eyes were rolling left and right as he received the immense amount of information that was coming straight into his head!

But it was still too late for anyone to make a move. Ouroboros’ five arms, which were able to move, went to touch its chest. After that, they started tearing the boss’ flesh off, revealing something shining with red light. It was a lump of something that was beating like a heart!

SNAP!!

Then the sound of something getting triggered came up in Wisana’s brain. His amber eyes were widening out of shock.

“No! Guys, find something for defense. This one can kill you right on the spot!!”

Final Blood

The second that Wisana shouted out, nine red light beams launched out of the Ouroboros’ chest instantly. Moreover, they were going in different directions, as if each of them had already chosen its target!

“...Damn it!!”

Wisana who was the nearest clenched his jaws. He hurriedly commanded his 30 mini shields to gather up, getting ready to take that red beam from Ouroboros. However, the shields were broken through in the blink of an eye. And finally, he got attacked by it directly!

BOOM!!

180,000!!

At the same time, another beam went straight at Shin accurately on the other side. Even though he had his ultimate weapon up in defense, the fire element spear was broken in half instantly!

“Ugh!”

680,000!

As well as Maysa, she commanded those 18 special assault units to cover her, but they were useless just as less as Wisana’s, sending her slim figure down to lie still on the ground, too... And even though Waree had Lunarias as a shield to protect her from the beam from Ouroboros, the demon that was well known for being the strongest defense also faded away immediately!

“What? Even Luna died with just that one attack?!” Waree widened her eyes.

And about the rest, they were all attacked in a way that they could not avoid!

Then the situation was calm again.

Like the party members who were lying there, no one was moving any muscles. ...There was left only Wisana, who was trying to get up slowly and strugglingly.

“Damn it. It finally got us. Why wouldn’t I know this sooner!” He cursed to himself through his clenched teeth as he opened the information window up before he saw that his HP which was more than a hundred thousand points, was now just hundreds left. Then he let out a long sigh.

“This boss, what kind of ultimate was that...?”

Final Blood, ...one of the ultimate skills of Ouroboros. It was an attack from the ability of the Philosopher’s Stone that its attack points were equal to the total HP of the target it aimed at. Also, those beams would follow the targets until they hit, too!

“You cheater!” He said, then cursed at the 14th strongest boss of the game continuously!

“Can you stop that annoying yelling already...?”

Suddenly, there was a gentle voice of someone speaking up.

“Shin, ...you’re alive!” The troublemaker smiled widely, feeling glad that there was another one that incredibly survived the disaster as well.

“Yeah, ...but that almost got all my HP, too. Damn it.” Shin held his arm that had a small injury, eyes staring at Wisana, and moving on to look at the others. After that, he sighed, too.

“No one else’s alive?” He asked.

“In a brief time like that, there’d be you who could understand what I said.”

The Zero-Celsius man just nodded slightly as he thanked the other guy in his mind. Because if there was no warning from Wisana, he would have chosen to run instead of holding his spear up in defense, too. And if he did that, he would have been lying on the ground by now.

“I’m kind of hurt, hearing you say that, Wisana. Since I’m not dead.”

“May!”

“I’m not dead either.”

“Waree.”

The guys looked at the owners of the voices who seemed to be durable enough. Especially the first one who was in sharp pain and unable to get up, but still strugglingly beckoning the troublemaker to help her up.

“Are you alright?” Wisana asked smilingly, while he was holding her up to her feet quickly.

“Barely. If I didn’t have the special units to protect me, I would have been gone from this world by now. Look, I got 1 HP left. What a miracle!” The gorgeous one who looked shabbier than usual said with a frustrated face.

“What about the boss?” She asked.

“Looks like after it shoots the ultimate out, it’ll have a delay and be unable to move for a moment. Look, it’s trying to close its chest that it’s torn out earlier.”

Wisana said, glancing at the monster that was healing up the wound on its chest slowly.

“Do you want me to revive the others?” Waree asked. And Shin shook his head in reply.

“Let’s not do that now. They’re all blacked out. Even though you revive them, it’ll take quite a long time before they’re back to consciousness again and that won’t be worth it.”

Hearing that, Waree instantly raised her eyebrows.

“But if we don’t revive them in two minutes, they’ll be sent to the hospital, you know.”

“I agree with Shin on this, though.”

“Na!”

The younger one exclaimed loudly because she had never thought that her brother would let his friends die so easily like this. But after she looked up to see his face, Wisana was smiling broadly, and it was like the after-victory smile even!

“...Two minutes are more than enough, Nam. If we have Shin here, then the victory is just a reach away.”

Hearing confident words like this, everyone paused, looking at the leader of Nemesis at the same time, especially Maysa, who narrowed her eyes as she did so.

“You have a plan?” she asked with a delightful voice. “Is it something that has to be with you running and stabbing the knives around?”

Wisana smiled playfully with the questions, then held up his hand to mess the hair of the chief of staff softly.

“So clever. Be honest with me, is there anything you can’t read from me?”

“No, there’s not.” The girl smiled sweetly right away.

A second later, Wisana looked at Shin with a good-mood grin. He reached his hand to touch the last sword on his back softly, before tilting his head at Shin.

“Do you know what Ouroboros is?”

“I do,” Shin replied. “Ouroboros is the symbol of alchemy, and its avatar is the snake eating its own tail.”

“That’s all?”
