Chapter 189: Wasn't he too shameless?

Rong Yue's eyes widened as she heard his reply.

Wasn't he being too shameless?!

"You are starting to realise I'm the best man for you?" Qin Yichen added, his eyes twirling with mirth.

Just from how she treated Qin Heng, one could tell that she was the type to obsess over kids. He didn't believe that she didn't want her own children.

But in truth, that was also his feelings. He had never cared about kids or barely anyone. Now that he cared about her, he was unwilling to bring kids that would still her attention.

One younger brother was already enough, he couldn't imagine having one or two more kids to fight for her attention.

"You are shameless," Rong Yue finally said and then walked away. She couldn't argue with him and win. It was better to save her energy and eat instead.

The both of them walked into the kitchen and started to set the table for their dinner. Despite them being just two, Rong Yue was surprised by all the meals he had made.

Had he been inside for so long or she just hadn't noticed?

"I already made some of them while you were handling matters with the arcade centre, I only came back inside to make the dessert just now," he explained.

Rong Yue nodded, and her lips curled upwards as he opened all the dishes they had placed on the table.

"It's not easy to get full marks, my wife is the strongest, and this is my first gift for your results,"

Rong Yue's brows raised up with question. She didn't think that getting full marks was a big deal. But she couldn't pretend and say she didn't know it was a big deal to others. After ignoring her master's calls, she had switched off her phone so she could eat in peace.

But he said his first gift?

"How many gifts are you planning to give me?"

"As many as possible," he wanted to say that she could own everything he had, but he felt that Rong Yue wouldn't like to hear that sort of thing, so he held back.

The both of them ate dinner in silence, with Qin Yichen doing more of watching her eat than actually eating himself.

Like an old couple, they cleared the dishes together before saying goodnight and going to their rooms.

The next day,

Rong Yue slept in late and only woke up past 9 am Qin Yichen had some early morning meetings, and he had planned to go to the office before.

However, since Rong Yue didn't come down, he made Lu Bo set up the meeting in his home study. He had just finished and was coming downstairs when Rong Yue stepped out of her room also.

Talking with Yu Cui was indeed better. The both of them quickly discussed all the things that were new, and Rong Yue left the group.

Now that they were getting more information, the information vault that they had created needed to be guarded even better.

Rong Yue's plan was very simple, she would restrict the access to the vault to be a one-way thing. Any folder and documents sent to anyone using the Fox Alliance system will immediately be saved and deleted by the Vault's artificial intelligence.

Like an AI, Rong Yue would need to install a grading system that she wanted to use so that the vault would then determine the level of the information passed to it.

To do that without needing any humans meant that she would need to build the system from scratch by herself.

It was, of course, not something that she planned on doing anytime soon, so she could only strengthen the firewall for now. When she had more time and resources, she would do the other one.

Also, she had to make sure that every person on the team was someone she could trust before making such a big move.

She put her phone aside and started eating. The food tasted a lot different from Qin Yichen's cooking, but it was also really good, and she ate two portions before she dropped her chopsticks.

"Was the meal okay?" Qin Yichen asked with a little concern.

Even though she was petite, he had seen her eat three portions easily on many occasions and was worried that this time around, the food was not to her taste.

"It's not as good as your cooking, but it's nice and easy on the taste buds,"

"Also, I think it's better to eat meals like this more often and keep your food for more special occasions," Rong Yue added as an afterthought.

Even if his cooking was the best, in her opinion, she didn't want him to spend too much time doing something like that all the time.

Qin Yichen could also read her thoughts easily from her expression and nodded.

"We can ask a chef to come here and handle the cooking for most days."

"Do you have anywhere to go to?"

Rong Yue shook her head. For now, she didn't have to handle anything physically. Lu San was handling a lot of the running around, and she had to just focus on the part that needed her brain.

She planned to split her time between Infinity and The Fox Alliance today. After all, in a month's time, she wouldn't have as much time with the school also resuming.
