"Husband, here I am right in front of you, safe and sound!" Mu Anhan knew he was angry, so she quickly hugged his neck and tried to act cute.

"Mu Anhan, sit up straight!" Gu Xiaozhan said in a deep voice.

Mu Anhan glared at him. Did he want her to sit like a primary school student, all upright and proper?

Fine! She sat up straight and obediently awaited a scolding.

"Who gave you permission to return to the Gu Family?" he asked coldly.

Mu Anhan replied obediently, "Mom called me back later."

"You weren’t aware of the danger?"

"I knew, but I had a plan to handle it."

"Your plan was to go please that old man from the Gu Family?" Gu Xiaozhan’s eyes turned fierce and gloomy as he spoke.

Mu Anhan felt as if a bucket of ice water was poured over her, chilling her down to her toes. She looked at him, "Are you jealous of your dad?"

This was the core of his anger. This man couldn’t stand her speaking a word or doing a thing with any male creature.

"He’s married four wives publicly, not to mention how many more women he has who aren’t publicly acknowledged!" Gu Xiaozhan’s voice was icy cold.

"But I only see him as your father!" Mu Anhan explained. "He’s so old, older than my grandfather! How could I possibly have feelings for him? Gu Xiaozhan, I beg you to be reasonable, okay?"

Worried about her, Gu Xiaozhan got retorted by her and said in a deep voice, "But how about him? Can you guarantee he doesn’t have feelings for you?"

"Oh my God, is this elite circle really so messy?" Mu Anhan shrank her neck, her big eyes misty. "Husband, don’t be mad at me, I won’t dare anymore."

No matter what he said, for now, she’d obediently admit her mistakes.
